FISH ON PARADE New Orleans Festival Of Fins in partnership with the Arts Council of New Orleans' public art program, held the Festival of Fins, the largest public art display in the city?s history. More than 150 artists designed and painted over 200 fiberglass fish which appeared throughout the New Orleans Metro area. In November of 2000, 105 fish were publicly auctioned raising over $550,000 for New Orleans area non-profit organizations." The Young Leadership Council The Young Leadership Council originally used our photos on their official website and also used them at the public auction, to which we received a special invitation and special recognition. We had a blast searching out each fish - and convincing it to pose ~ so we could get a good picture ~ an endeavor which took us all over our city. What An Adventure!!! It's a bit sad now that the fish are gone from our city streets - but once in awhile we see one in someone's yard or on the front porch and it brings back very fond memories of our "Festival Of Fins Summer".
