Sabrina Accessories |
In Sabrina, Audrey wore simple, classic jewelry. Because of the fabulous design of Givenchy's clothes, necklaces were not worn in the black and white gown scene or the little black dress scene. However, Audrey did enhance her outfits with the occasional hat. Earrings were as must, as Audrey's "trompe l'oeil" style, that gave her the illusion of short hair, put the focus on her dainty features, including her very visible ears. |

The Hat: Audrey wore hats in a lot of her scenes, except for the "coming out" scene, with the black and white dress. That is because a hat was far too much, with the ornate style of the dress. But for simpler, no-fuss outfits, like the one at the train station(left), and the little black dress(right), hats gave the outfit some spice. Also, hats signified the newfound maturity. Young Sabrina wore a ponytail, no jewelry, and girlish clothing. Hats helped give the New Sabrina a hint of sophistication. Small, close-fitting hats, without brims, are best. Try a cloche hat, or a small, lace-embellished pillbow hat, to get the look (click here to view some great hats) |
The Earrings: Audrey wore small, dainty earrings, that did not distract the eye. Her focus was on the clothing that she was wearing (as well as her acting.) Your earrings need not be expensive to be effective. A pair of small hoops, that fit close to the ear, are best with the black and whtie gown and the little black dress.Your earrings don't even have to cost you over $5. Just check out any Wal-Mart, K-Mart, or Claire's, for some inspiration. |
