Kabbalah Meditations & Resources From the Kabbalah Centre's book 72 Names of God by Yehuda Berg |
Weekly Meditations (from Kabbalah Centre's Conciousness Tune-Ups) September 19 – 25, 2004 You Missed a Spot |
The ten days from Rosh Hashanah to Yom Kippur (9/15-25) are a time of major spiritual cleansing. What we did on Rosh Hashanah created renewed life for the entire year to come. We connected with spiritual frequencies not normally available to us to ask for the things we desire - better relationships, better jobs, and less chaos. It's the script to the movie (life) we will experience this year. So what's happening now? We are previewing and editing our movie. During these ten days (and on Yom Kippur), we can rewrite whatever we've missed, which might have caused us to get less than we could have. This period is known as the Ten Days of Repentance. Actually, it is ten days of cleansing - it is an opportunity to cleanse/change our past in order to affect our future. It's a period of testing. Whatever it is that you "scripted," you have to prove that you have earned! You do this by acting differently, and proving that you have a different consciousness. Remember, consciousness is the cause of what you draw into your life. One way to do this is through minimizing ego. The Sages recommend that you go to people you know you hurt and ask for their apology. Put your ego aside and ask for forgiveness. It is also good to focus on how you can change, not on how others hurt you and how they need to change. The best thing to do is keep two lists. Literally, buy a little notebook, and carry it around with you. The first list is taking stock of your desires. Write down what you are doing now and what you need down the road. Do you need better friends? A better job? More self-control? The second list is all the things that you don't like about other people. Every time you see something, write it down and be brutally honest, (I despise so and so because they're so controlling, I dislike it when people are nasty.) Reread what you wrote. All the things you don't like in others are the things you need to change in yourself! Ultimately, the question to keep asking yourself is, "am I going to go back to where I was before Rosh Hashanah or am I going to reach higher levels in every area of my life?" These ten days are critical because you are doing the final editing on your movie. The last edit takes place only on Yom Kippur. All the Best, Yehuda Berg P.S. I am purified in my present life by correcting my transgressions from my lives in the past. I can also use this Name to purify my physical environment from spiritual impurities. |
