First Pack Comments: Three RCs in the pack, but I have actually heard of two of them! The Cole RC is nice as he is the bigger player and the tougher pull (BAP Sig cards come less frequently then BAP Mem in Update) so that was especially nice.

Note: this is the fourth BAP Update Box Break I've done on here, for product analysis, please see the first one.

Pavel Datysuk has probably saved many boxes across the hobby, and he certainly made this one at least salvageable.

This was one dull break from the outset really. The parallels were horrible -- only 3 rubies and all in sequential order oddly enough (card #437, 438, and 439). That sequence of course consisting of Prusek, Davidson, and Roy ... Andre Roy. Prusek isn't bad, but Davidson and Andre are pretty unremarkable.

The signatures were actually going well, Martin Erat was one player I was going to try to get a through-the-mail auto from before the lockout hit, so pulling an auto of him isn't bad at all. I also like Jillson, so his auto was also recieved decently enough.

But the final packs tacking on the Datsyuk RC and then the Datsyuk Autograph really picked up the box to the point of respectability. The Pascal Dupuis Gold Autograph at the end was a nice touch as well.

The memorabilia card wasn't anything exciting, and with the parallels reeling the autographs are really the only thing that made this box worth the while. Not the usual strong performance I am used to from BAP Update.
