This is an excellent release from BAP Memorabilia and probably one of the top base sets of 2002-03.

The first thing you'll notice about 2002-03 BAP Memorabilia is that every pack contains either a Franchise Players, Big Deal, or Rookie subset card. The knock on BAP before was that the breaks were boring, but Memorabilia has solved it with these subsets. The Franchise Players are great looking cards that are enjoyable to pull, the Big Deal cards recap major trades of the past 10 years and are enjoyable pulls as well, and everyone loves pulling rookies. Not only does this make every pack in the box fun to open, it also creates one beautiful and obtainable base set.

Each box also comes with a mini-Stanley Cup, which is semi-amusing as a side deal at least, 4 Ruby Parallels, 2 Sapphire Parallels ... and oh yeah, a memorabilia card stated out of no more than 90!

My box was on the lower end of BAP Memorabilia boxes ... and yet it was still an enjoyable break. The Mogilny AS Jersey was a pretty lousy pull considering all the other possibilities and was actually one of the more boring packs to open in this box. The parallels were OK, Yzerman is awesome, Demitra has some star power and I do like Greg de Vries. The rookies suffered a bit early, but Frolov and Zetterberg in the final packs brought that up considerably.

And after all, I'm now that much closer to the complete set :)
