Welcome to the I-Cybie Lair website !

This site has been renewed now! I think you'll find about any info you wish here in the Q&A section.

And if not? Just contact me and ask what you want didn't found! I will make my best to add the info to the site, provided it exists somewhere ;-)

This section is for those who don't exactly know who is I-Cybie. A huge part of this section has been taken from post in the I-Cybie Group Message Board, and I would like to thanks all the people who usually knows (much) more than me for these infos. And now, here we go!

Man's best friend has just gone cyber! Introducing i-CYBIE, the pure bred, state-of the-art robotic canine. This amazing pet can speak, bark, walk, lay down, shake your hand, perform tricks, follow your voice and more! Just like a real pet, i-CYBIE is able to express fear, anger, dislike, happiness, surprise and sadness. These cyber dogs love being petted and respond by wagging their tail and maintaining a pleasant mood. Each i-CYBIE has a unique personality and character that can be changed or altered with a remote control unit. i-CYBIE is the perfect family pet for the next century. I-Cybie was designed for children 5 years old to 105 years old.

The I-Cybie interactive pet is available in metallic blue and gold. I-Cybie has 16 motors to enable a life like range of movements. It can respond to as many as 8 customizable voice commands(for example "give paw"). The user can also program commands through the supplied infrared remote control. Built-in smart sensors enable him to detect obstacles, indicate the source of a sound, monitor its own power level and get up by itself in case it lost its balance. It can interact with other cyber pets, or entertain itself by performing some body movements. Light and sound effects are built in.

It is produced by Tiger Electronics in the U.S.A., and Tomy in Asia. Primary planned for coming out in July 2000, it has been postponed for several reasons to march 2001, mainly testing, chip availability delay, and features additions.

Finally it came out on beginning of August in some store in the US.

The best way to learn more about him is to check the Q&A section on this site often.
