"Clearly Love"-released in 1975 on MCA(US),EMI(UK),Toshiba/EMI(Japan) and Festival/Interfusion(Australia).
"Something Better To Do" was played to death by "middle of the road" stations but my favorite cuts on this one included "Let It Shine" and "Just A Lot of Folk"
The country music controversy was finally beginning to settle down, hard rock fans still despised her and young teenage girls digging on the Bay City Rollers at the time admired her as they started to imitate Olivia's makeup and hairstyles.(Olivia was also a fave in fan magazines geared to young teenage girls in the seventies and numerous photos were published in them..even before "Grease")Some of their boyfreinds or future husbands patronized the local KISS concerts.
(No wonder Sandy slammed the door on Danny... Liv's no metalhead!)
"Have You Never Been Mellow" -released in 1975 by MCA,EMI,Toshiba/EMI and Festival/Interfusion.
Olivia picked up the older adults with the 1974 success of "I Honestly Love You " and solidified that following with this follow-up album. The logo using her name was used as promotional tools by MCA and during her mid-70s concert tour. I had to wait another twenty some odd years before I would see her perform live since she preferred doing television appearances over concerts.
Olivia and other soft rockers of the 70s helped transform "middle of the road" radio into"Adult Contemporary."
While the country music controversy raged on..disco and heavy metal emerged in the same time period, causing her new found older adult popularity to be ballyhooed by rock critics everywhere.
"If white bread could sing..it would sound like Olivia Newton-John" -Rex Reed writing in Rolling Stone.
"Come On Over"-released in 1976 on MCA,EMI,Toshiba/EMI and Festival/Interfusion.
The Bee Gees made a comeback with "Jive Talkin," "Nights on Broadway" and two  years later with 'You Should Be Dancing" and "Stayin' Alive." They wrote the title song for this album and although it didn't score real big for Olivia compared to her earlier hits..it gave Barry,Robin and Maurice Gibb the title of song writers extrordinaire as they continued to write for other performers as well...They would continue to write material for Olivia as time went on.Top 40 radio though was starting to burn out on Olivia so this and a few more songs would cause some uncertainty within the next few years.. Adult Contemporary radio embraced her sound and magic....including yours truly!
