TP&C

The IEEE Subcommittee TP&C Line Design (SC)  covers all mechanical, thermal, construction, and economic aspects of overhead transmission lines. Working groups under this SC the following subjects:

• ice galloping and Aeolian vibration of overhead lines

• mechanical damping and control of wind-induced conductor motions

• sag-tension calculations and measurements

• structure loading calculations

• conductor design and evaluation of conductor and hardware/connection

• economic line design

• voltage and thermal line uprating

• annealing and creep elongation of conductor

• high temperature, low-sag conductors

• dynamic and static thermal line ratings

• inspection, maintenance and asset management
