STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
Reconstruct a previously done webpage,
(Preventive techniques and exercises for
pianists with performance-related hand injuries)
of my workshop for my Master's degree in Piano Pedagogy,
by using html programming. The webpage needs reconstruction
because it is not made as professionally and some pages are not
working properly. The purpose of this webpage is to inform
musicians, and pianists worldwide about hand injuries and
their prevention. It is an informative project that hopefully
will help many pianists worldwide.
AUDIENCE STATEMENT
The project is geared towards musicians and
more specifically towards pianists with or without hand
injuries. Its purpose is to inform pianists about hand injuries
and offer to them practical solutions for the prevention of
these injuries. Anyone interested in piano playing and/or
hand injuries related to occupation will be able to benefit
from the readings of this project. The language used is
intentionally written in a non-scholarly way so that
non-native English speaking audience can benefit from
the information. This project is strictly informative.
Exercises explained must not be performed without
consulting your physician, especially if one has
previously been injured!
TOOLS
For text:
My computer at home
Notepad program for my text editor
My text that exists in my previous webpage
For Font:
Two kinds will be used. Easy to read and more
artistic one. I have not decided yet on the
exact style names.
For graphics:
Pain Shop Pro Animation Wizard for special Animations
Web Studio program for pictures and creating
buttons, banners, etc.
I may also look online for some more pictures,
and backgrouds.
For music:
Use of midi files for piano music
in some of the pages downloaded
from the internet.
For uploading:
I will use Communication Software 3.5
to upload my work on my class website
on the server and will set permissions.
DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS
I have not decided yet on colors or font or on
any animations yet. But I know that I will keep
the color scheme for each page the same.
Preferrably a soft color that will be easy and
relaxing for the eyes to read the text. The colors
used in general will be soft colors except for subtopic
names' colors that will be bright to attract attention.
There will be links to different sites where more detailed
information can be acquired on a given subtopic.

possibly a banner and animation effects.
