Always buy your shoes at least half a size to small. Because they are entirely made out of leather they'll get a bit bigger when you dance in them!

Many irish dancers train with little weights around their ankles. And wear them at the day of a feis aswell so when they take them off, they'll jump higher!

Do you want to get higher on your toes in your ghillies? Pulling your laces very tight at the beginning of your toes will help!

Aren't your ankles loose enough? Turn circles with your feet as often as possible. You can do it everywhere!

Always do a good warming up and cooling down!
It makes you more flexible and prevents injuries!

If you really want to get somewhere there's one keyword: PRACTISE! With just one or two danceclasses a week you won't become the new Michael Flatley or Bernadette Flynn!

Try to not wear your ghillies on a stone floor. They'll break much sooner if you do!
