Nosferatu
Director: F.W Murnau
Rating:Unrated
Where it was created:Germany, 1922 (1897 to be exact)
Length:1 hour and 22 minutes
Nosferatu in my opinion is the best of all the vampire movies created. It is also the oldest. It is based on Bram Stoker's Dracula. It is a silent movie that makes extradinary  use of music to send chills down viewers sipines. Don't be put off by the lack of high tech special affects. It is certainly worth the effort.
When I first saw it a laughed a bit at the actors dramatic expression ,but as it wore on
I became entranced with the amazing cinematrography,
The dracula they use in this movie is far cry from the stereotypical dracula. It is bald monter with long pointed ears, elongated fingernails, and rat like front teeth. He appears more like a living corpse than anything.
The plot is simple enough. It is of a young real estate manager who is sent off to Count Dracula's castle since the count is considering buying a house in germany. The count nearly kills Hutter, the real estate agent who flees from the castle.Back home in Germany Hutter had left his lovely wife Ellen who waits loyally for his return. In the meantime the count sets out for a voyage toward Germany.
This move is also packed full of rabid rats(small part),mascara, and a demented ,but energetic madman
who serves the count. A must see movie.
