Les Papp

Ok, this is just a wild guess. But the name Papp cannot be
anything but Hungarian. Remember the 3-time Hungarian olympic champ boxer
László (=Les) Papp...?

All that is known about Les Papp
is that he played in a band with FZ in the pre-MOI days.

This is what Zappa had to say about the period:

"I had a three-piece power trio called the Mothers,
with Les Papp on drums and Paul Woods on bass,
and we were working at a place called
The Saints & Sinners in Ontario, California.
It was, like, mostly Mexican laborers, a go-go bar,
lots of beer, and a few waitresses who would jump on the tables
- that type of thing."
