INDUSTRIAL TRAINING AND PLACEMENT

Training

The unique feature of the academic programme is to have an optimal mix of theoretical and practical knowledge. Industry interaction and entrepreneurship motivation among the students is highly emphasized. Therefore, comprehensive industrial training programmes are aimed at providing first-hand knowledge of organization handling and also for the development of scientific expertise in principle disciplines that will enable a student to take control of his future in the food industry and other related areas.

Once the students have been provided with good theoretical and practical background in the Institute, exposure of 4-6 weeks to the Food industry is given in summer.

  Fortunately, regarding it, The Institute is getting a continuous, welcome cooperation from a number of Institutes and Food Industries of our country. The Institute recognizes their efforts and is thankful for it.

Placement

 

The final year students of the Institute are offered to be placed in different organizations. Approximate total strength of the students which is required  to be placed every year is sixty.

The Placement Period: The campus placement commence from 15th May. The participating companies are suggested to furnish the convenient dates of their visit along with details at the earliest.

Pre-placement talks: Pre-placement talks will provide an excellent to the students and the organization to exchange their views and know about each other. Pre-placement talks would also provide basic information to our students about the company. A pre-placement talk is expected to cover the following information:  

Overview of the company and its operation

Nature and period of training

Job description of placement offered

Remuneration offered

Any other relevant information
