16. Thomas Johnstone⁵ PORTER (William⁴, William "Hawthorne Villa"³, John², John¹) was born in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl 25 June 1856. Thomas died 2 August 1919 in West Laurel Hill, Philadelphia, USA, at 63 years of age.

He married Ellen Hughes FAWCETT 1886. Ellen was born 29 January 1863. Ellen died 15 July 1920 in West Laurel Hill, Philadelphia, USA, at 57 years of age.

He was christened in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl, 23 December 1856.

Thomas Johnstone PORTER and Ellen Hughes FAWCETT had the following children:

29 i. James Andrew Stewart⁶ PORTER was born 29 January 1887. James died 24 January 1981 at 93 years of age. He married Kathleen Elsie PORTER 17 September 1924. Kathleen was born 10 November 1887. Kathleen was the daughter of John PORTER and Martha Lizzie IREDALE.

30 ii. William Herdman PORTER was born 23 December 1887. William died 8 December 1953 at 65 years of age.

31 iii. Thomas Fawcett PORTER was born 15 February 1889. Thomas died 13 April 1889 at less than one year of age.

32 iv. Meredith Frank PORTER was born 25 September 1890.

33 v. Alfred Haughton PORTER was born 15 September 1892. Alfred died 24 March 1956 at 63 years of age.

34 vi. Edward Arthur Gribbon PORTER was born 1 November 1895.
