![]() Arm Candy: The Fashionable Relationship Girls really do mature faster than guys. I’m not giving you advice to date a man 7 years your senior, just remember, if you’re ready for a relationship it doesn’t mean your guy is. Communication is key because for the most part that cute guy from the party really didn’t want to lead you to believe he was a potential boyfriend. Find your inner guy. Think like a boy. For example, honestly a guy rather lay in bed and hold your hand while watching a stupid movie, then take you on a fancy date. Simplicity is key. Honesty is the best policy. One thing to avoid is playing an act, you’re only fooling yourself, whether you are daddy’s little princess, or the captain of your basketball team, shine true and one day you’re prince charming will find you. Choose your battles! You and your guy are going to have disagreements, believe it or not its your choice if you want to be screaming/crying on the phone all night rather then catching your fave T.V. episode. Learn to walk away girls! Try waiting to talk with your guy after you are clear minded and thought about what you want to say, but don't attack him, let him know to do the same. This way nothing will be said that isn’t meant. Stand your ground when it is something truly important, save the rest of your energy for those make out sessions. NOTE: AVOID THE PROBLEM STARTER. Yes, in some cases boys can be just as drama hungry as some girls you know. Respect yourself.Remember how beautiful you are and all the things you have to offer, never loose sight of your goals in life. If someone doesn’t want you, girl it’s HIS loss. Keep your life: Your friends, your family, school, work, hobbies, keep doing what you love and stop for no one. Remember when it comes to relationships, a common mistake is putting the other person before yourself, that doesn’t mean your in love, it means your willing to sacrifice YOUR happiness for someone else’s. YOU are the star of your own life, and don’t let anyone else make you feel otherwise. Written by Alexandra Lydia |
