          Dear Mr. Wilson,

Today, we went to an art museum.  We saw a painting that we thought you would like.  It is called Outward Bound, by Norman Rockwell. . .

1.     On a hill stands an old man looking intently into the beautiful ocean.  Standing beside him is a small replica of him, most likely his grandson.  The water looks as cold as ice as it laps upon the shore.  A sailboat glides gently along the crystal blue water.  It is a portrait of peace.

2.     The setting is next to an ocean.  There is an old man who has a young grandchild.  The boy has a small puppy with him.  They are standing on the hill like statues.  The birds are flying very high in the sky.  We feel as if we were there.  The smell of the crisp air is delectable.  We can hear the water moving, and see over the horizon.  We can even feel the sand between our toes!  This painting puts us in a very calm mood.

3.     It was pretty and unique.  We liked the way the boat glided across the water like a paper airplane across the air.  We also liked the seagulls.  They flew over the ocean like acrobatic planes.  We also liked the way the air blew like a cool spring morning.

4.     In the painting, there was an old man, young boy, and a small puppy.  The seagulls were flying freely.  The waves crashed against the rocks.  The church bells were faintly sounding in the distance.  The day was like a dream come true.

5.     Standing on a hill, I saw a small boy.  He is looking peaceful and quiet.  The small boy saw a ship sailing through the water, quietly.  The cool breeze of the water was nice when it hit your face.  I saw seagulls flying peacefully through the sky.  I saw waves crashing, and smelled the fresh air.  The old man was standing tired, while the dog stirred, as seagull flew freely.  The birds are flying like money falling out of the sky.

6.     The painting is a spectacular view for the onlooker.  It is a good view of friendship.  The seagulls are as fast as jets.  The man is looking over the ocean waves.  The boy is standing next to a small black and white dog.  The boy was also looking over the crisp ocean waves.  The dog patiently waited, watching the seagulls glide overhead.  To the left, a small group of clouds looked like rain.  To the right, a small church steeple looked like it touched the sky.  The sailboats were turning toward the shore before the shower hit.  It was a tremendous painting because of the texture and feeling.

7.          The painting shows and older man, and a young child that is probably his grandson.  Also, there is a dog.  The child and the man watch quietly as a sailboat sails gracefully.  The dog barks as seagulls fly overhead.  By the looks of the painting’s impressionism, it is obviously making an impression on the inhabitants of the painting.  The ocean was a beautiful as a field of flowers in the spring.
