The Final Task
The final task is a sentence building
exercise. The best way to do this is to make a list of
about 5-10 different sentence patterns. Then, have someone
pick a number between one and ten. The number on the list
that corresponds with the number picked is the sentence pattern
that the students have to create. Here are some examples of
what to use.
1.
Pronoun, verb, adverb, prepositional
phrase.
2.
Proper noun, conjunction, article, noun,
verb, conjunction, verb, adverb, prepositional phrase,
prepositional phrase.
3.
Any quoted sentence, as long as it has
all parts to a quote (quotation marks, punctuation inside of
marks, a speaker, etc.)
4.
Article, adjective, adjective, adjective,
noun, verb, conjunction, verb.
5.
Noun, verb, article, direct object.
The sentences have to be built using each part listed in the order given.
