IGNORE THE 'SOCIAL NORM'
This is my diary. However, it is not a diary detailing my past or future engagements. It is an expression of my opinions. These opinions are the fruits of travelling in the middle lane of an unremarkable conformist life for too long. Sadly, most of my thoughts have not been expressed. They have remaining confidential, either to avoid offense, or to stay unnoitced. Having said this though, I do not believe that my thoughts are any more radical that the next person's. And as I discuss issues while construcing this site, I  feel more and more that they represent the ideas of the vast silent majority.
The reason I assumed a position of  'confrontation avoidance' is to allow for a trouble-free existence. I believe that this is an attribute assumed by many others. It is something I am trying to change because it has reduced my experience of the world. I blame the this social camofluage worn during my informative years for missed opportunies in my life. The result of this is an excessively sheltered existence and disappointment with progression to adulthood.
I believe 'confrontation avoidance' is also all too prevalent in collective human character. It may explain some of the world's most hideous atrocities: "All it takes for evil to prosper is for 'good' people to do nothing". The 'good' in this common quote refers to those people who have conformed apathetically. The quote simply reinforces the idea that to be good is not to be evil. This is clearly not true. The omission to act leaves us undefined, it is action alone that counts. Thus, to be good, one must do good, and this often this entails opposing evil. The quote thus only serves to comfort those who chose to ignore evil. True, these people are not evil, but nor are they good. They are the social norm.
This site is thus dedicated to all those that are angry with themselves and others for assuming the social norm. It is a site ready to discuss my views on important but avoided issues. And I hope will act as a forum for all rational points of view to be discussed anonymously.
"All it takes for evil to prosper if for people not to do good"
