Eagle Fly Free
Leaves slowly drop from a tree into a fire and burn. An eagle is seen in the sky, flying over the forest and on until it reaches a city. The majestic creature flies until it reaches a city filled with pollution but the area that the eagle flies in is clear and blue because it flies above the clouds of smoke. Eventually, the eagle becomes caught up in the smog, but it is able to make it away from the city and flies towards a grassy field. Hunters fire at it, and hit it causing it to fall to the ground.
A small group of Indians dances around the fire. While the bird is shot down miles away it begins to rain and the fire is extinguished, the Indian’s all flee to find cover under the trees.
The eagle slowly shakes and gets up looking around quickly. Soon, it flies off while the hunter’s fire at it but it is able to escape flying toward another city with bullets close behind.
A group of armed men are dancing in the street and rejoicing, promoting world peace. They raise their hands into the air, open and waving toward the clouds, stained with blood and thank God for helping them promote peace by killing the families in a poor town. While the men are dancing a bomb drops and kills them all.
The eagle flies overhead, passing all the destruction, and looks as beautiful and majestic as ever.
=====
An army is marching down a dirt road. Children play in the fields on the sides of the road, they do not even realize that the army is marching towards battle not even one hundred meters away. The eagle lands next to a child and the child begins to feed it some bologna that he had been eating. Meanwhile, a fat child stumbles on top of a hill and falls, rolling down the side and hitting the one who was feeding the eagle. The two boys fly forward and the eagle flies away out of fright.
One tree stands alone on the side of the road. An army clowns dances out from behind the tree, they are spinning in circles with their hands above their heads like ballerina’s when they suddenly stop and hold out flowers. The other army stops a moment and the flowers fire and kill all of the soldiers.
=====
A young child who was playing in the fields recognizes one of the dead soldiers as his father. He crouches next to him and cries as the clowns put their hands back above their heads and slowly sink back into the ground, disappearing without a trace.
Back home, the boy is sitting in his room with pads of paper at his desk. He is drawing out plans and sharpening a sword. The boy continually sees flashes of the smiling white faces and giant orange hair; he is slowly losing his mind. Behind him, a clown slowly steps out of a matchbox car and stands up behind the boy, waiting patiently. He watches what the boy is doing and another clown slides out from behind a poster on the child’s wall while still another grows out of the boy’s mattress.
The young child turns around and sees the clowns, but is no longer filled with anger and hate. He gets up, steps toward the clown who was watching him make plans, and gives him a hug. The child then falls to the ground dead, without a scratch on his body. The first clown looks down at the boy and motions for the others to leave. The two return to the poster and the mattress.
The first clown walks out of the boy’s room and walks toward the front door. His makeup is smeared and running from tears and he steps outside the house, lifting off his orange wig. Under the wig sits the eagle. It sits there calmly on top of the clowns head, and the sun sets, turning all to darkness.
There is a funeral; few people are there. In the casket lies the clown. A child walks into the room carrying papers and a sword. He tosses them into a garbage can and walks up to the clown’s casket, opens it, and an eagle flies out. The boy watches the eagle as it flies away. He smiles, and then climbs into the casket with the clown.
=====
The eagle flies into the middle of a town square. Here, a riot is occurring because the citizens were upset that the price of Ramen Noodles had risen by 10 cents. The people were all dancing and stabbing each other while the eagle circled in the sky above them.
A young girl runs through the streets towards the Town Square. She is screaming for the people to stop fighting, but she trips and falls onto her face. The eagle swoops down and pulls her up into the sky just as an axe hits the ground where she had fallen.
Soaring high above the clouds, the young girl cries because of the massacre occurring below and her teardrops fall on top of the crowd. Immediately, the clouds turn gray and it begins to rain. The people, or the few left, all stop moving and look up into the sky. Their faces stare up at the cloud and the tan coloring of their skin slowly begins to smear and drip off. Their clothes, which are a brownish color, do the same. The tan runs down their faces leaving white faces and the clothes are revealed to be blue with red polka dots. Their hair slowly grows and stands straight up.
The eagle flies off toward the horizon with the girl hanging from it’s talons.
