The history shows us the fight without grace between relativity and ether theories. On the other hand I see only one difference between the theories of ether and relativity. According to the theory of ether the ether is resting. In relativity a frame and the ether move together or rather the ether is resting in all frames. Historically A.Einstein took the Lorenz transformation, which was developed particularly for the support of the ether theory, and let those in all inertial systems apply and so, as I mean, the ether moves. Additionally principle of relativity and principle of the constant of the speed of light are obvious by idea of moving ether:
There are the three laboratories (picture). The laboratory I is into a gravitational field, the laboratory II is filled with the flexible, moving ether (Einstein's frame) and the laboratory III flies in empty space (Newton's frame). As usual, a light beam departs horizontally in the each laboratory .
Application of the ether means an interaction between particles and space in the each point of the space. Thus, there is any equivalence between space, which are filled with the ether, and a gravitational field. A. Einstein postulated this as equivalence principle (the space was brought to the gravitation). If the space is empty, take place only two events: Transmission and receipt. Between those a particle moves freely. If a photon is sent horizontal, it moves then also horizontal with the speed of light, equal whether the walls of rocket move relative to it accelerated. In this case is the speed of the photon relative to the walls of the rocket more than Constat c. Therefore the light beam in the laboratory III must be fewer curved than in the laboratories I and II.
For that reason according to idea of the moving ether all principles and simultaneity of the theorie of relativity are evident.
Unlike Newton's physics the theories of ether and relativity use the medium for the light. The theorie of ether calls it as ether. The relativity hides it through the simultaneity and the postulates.

The gravitation law of Isaac Newton is originally static. This conception
Albert Einstein followed also. Additional correction of general relativity
theory interprets as ~1/r3 - term. On the other hand with the identifier
of the angular momentum comes the circular speed of move (smaller) mass
