In a thread which can (hopefully) be read here, Jessie asked people to recall their favourite Whoser memories. Ironically, both of Molly's "great memories" wouldn't have seemed so great if she were actually living on this planet. There are stories behind both, which I won't get into, but this is what happened when I shared this bit of irony with her in AIM:

SharFruv: I find it hilarious that both of your big memorable moments consist of people pretending to like you, and you being totally oblivious to that fact. You are and endless source of entertainment, Molly.
SpiritTalkTalk: Why don't you go to hell

Way to put up a fight there.

This next bit is rather extensive, but it's classic Molly. Nick suggested that we move the board because of technical problems, and wanted our opinion. We were almost unanimously against the notion, with the exception of our dear Molly. She wanted to move. Once the votes were tallied and Nick made the announcement that we were staying put, all hell broke loose. Over the course of a few threads, this is what Molly posted:

People are too scared of change

I read some of the posts about the move to another site, and I have to say some of you are too scared to move. You just don't want to move, because "oh I don't want to learn HTML or the EZcodes", which tells me that you just don't want to try something new. I'm all for the move, and I think we should do it. If you don't like it don't post.

I know Nick asked for our input, but I think that we should move the MB.

Why would we stay at a MB where the posts get munched on, and some people blame Nick for taking their posts off (including myself one time). I see good things about the new board, including the spell check, this board doesn't have a spell check, and it's good to have one expecially for people like me, who don't know how to spell certain words or type too fast they screw up the words. I also like the formatting of the newer MB. I can see why some people don't want to move, but I think it's good to learn new things like HTML or EZcodes. I like making graphics, and I think it's easier to do that in the newer MB. IMHO, I just think some people just don't want to try new things. That's why I said they were scared. I guess nobody wants to try something new, and would reather have their posts eaten and having this board unorganized. It's just really sad, IMHO.

I just don't get it

I liked the EZBoard Forums. I don't like this one, but I guess I'll have to get used to this one. Majority rules. People can't take the time to check out something new. Oh well, that's the way life is now. Everything wants convience, and they don't want to spend the time to check out the posts. People like to be in a hurry, and they don't want to take the time. I guess I was in the minority, and I'm just sorry people don't want to try something new. But that's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it. And if people thinks that I'm insulting those who think I was insulting them, I was just doing what they do in politics. And I was campaigning for the new MB.

I'm getting sick of being reemed in here.

But I do deserve it, because I did blow my temper. But of course I'm not taken seriously, because you all know me. I want things my way, which of course isn't the way. I guess I'll never live it down in here, because people will let me remember all the bad things I've done in the past. Because people don't want to let by gones be by gones. But I do deserve all the crap this time. Even though I am getting sick of it. But it's my own fault.

Some of what we wrote in response (there were many more):

Hello kettle? This is Molly. You're black.

Point 1:
Excuse me, WE'RE scared of change? Are you not the one who for almost 3 years has polluted our community with sob stories and whining after continually being asked not to?
I seem to remember a chat we had from May of 1999 about your pathetic attempts to "change". [at this point a chat excerpt was inserted; see the chat section of this page for the full version]
Y'know, that chat could just as well have happened yesterday. You haven't changed, Molly. Until you learn how to grow up (for Christ's sake you're almost 30) and be intellegent about what you say, you have no right to accuse anyone of not wanting to make changes.
Point 2:
Quite the little habit you have of attacking people who express their opinions. I think I should invite Lorna back onto the board and have her tell her story. You remember Lorna, don't you Molly? She's the one who left the online Whoser community in disgust because you forced a group of people on alt.tv.whose-line debating the UK vs. US versions to apologize to you for liking one version better than the other. You tore them apart just because they had an opinion different than yours, exactly like you're doing here. Talk about sad.
Poin 3:
That's an interesting point you invented about everyone saying that they don't want to learn html. I've seen the piece of crap you pass off as a website, and you certainly aren't in the position to talk to people about learning html. You could use a few lessons yourself.
That's all for now, Molly. Be sure to respond if you wish to continue this debate.
And one more thing -- any adult who feels so strongly that they need spellcheck for a messageboard needs to buy a dictionary. Can you spell barnesandnoble.com? I knew you couldn't.

Right on, Sharilyn.

Honestly, Molly, I don't think you're in a position to call ANYONE "sad", considering your still-fresh-in-everyone's-minds ceaseless bitching about the WhoserCon. And for God's sake, its a messageboard. It isn't this important to anyone but you. Nick asked for honest feedback, and he got it. Other people disagreeing with you doesn't merit you calling them "sad" or making sweeping value judgments such as "people are too scared of change". Thinking before you speak saves you a lot of time and effort, try it sometime.

Got a suggestion for you Molly!

If you don't like the way Nick is running this show - go out and start your own bloody board!!!! You seem so all fired keen about this other board why don't you leave this one and make your own - that way you wouldn't have to put up with our grief and we wouldn't have to put up with yours. I am certain that someone would visit you! The idea of you calling us cowards is reprehensible. I just hope that you are aged 12 or under becuase if you aren't well I suggest that you brush up on what is commonly called etiquette. Some simple manners would be nice Missy!

I'd rather argue this on the basis of convenience and majority rules, than being bitchy or nitpicky about spelling :)
We have a board here that people are used to and, while recently it has been playing up a lot, generally it meets our needs. It IS quite inconvenient to change and to have to get used to a new format; that's why there needs to be a damn good reason for doing so. Thus far, it seems, the problems with ITW have been temporary and small enough (if sometimes annoying) to put up with.
I'm not sure about learning the HTML and EZcodes. I presume EZcodes are their local equivalent of HTML codes - a way of letting people do the basics of formatting while preventing rogue HTML code from doing naughty things. I like the freedom here of being able to occasionally stick in HTML stuff (the music for WL Survivor; images, links etc.). I know rogue HTML code screwed up the last board, but that is not really a problem when we have Nick here to take care of those kind of things.
It seems pretty clear from the posts around here that people DID take the time to check out something new; I know I went there myself. The board here has many convenient features and is probably one of the nicer laid-out boards I've frequented. Short 'subject' posts can be quickly read through on the main page, uninteresting topics can be quickly skipped past, and longer, more detailed posts can easily be identified and loaded up on their separate page if required, rather than having a cluttered-up main page. From the sounds of it many people either didn't like the limitations of layout at EZBoard, or have had previous bad experiences with them. Whatever the reason, ITW seems to be serving our needs for the moment, and EZBoard at least does not appear to be a better alternative.
"If you don't like it, don't post" is a pretty silly attitude to the discussion. Firstly, we were asked to post so that opinions on the move could be gauged. Opinions both for and against the new board need to be heard so that we know whether or not it would be better for most people. Secondly, the potential of the new board is for somewhere more reliable that the majority of Whosers would prefer to use; if that is not the case then there is no point moving. We can't just tell people to piss off and stop being Whosers and stop participating in this community simply because they aren't happy with a particular messageboard format. People will enjoy their time more, and will be more willing to contribute to discussion, on the board they find easiest/best/most convenient to use. It seems that this is the board that best fits that description for the majority of Whosers at the moment.
I know the problems inherent in majority rules when the majority is ignorant - how else could Australia not be a republic yet? If the 90% non-Monarchist Aussies had listened at ALL to the arguments, it would have been clear which way to go. However, it is pretty clear that this time people have looked at the facts, checked out the new board, and made a sensible conclusion based on that.

Molly has also written an endless number of whining posts about whosers going to gatherings without her; here's a taste:

MrsHugh, feeling like she wants to cry now:
My Thoughts (18-Nov-98 18:16:37)
Well, I just read your posts, and I have to add my thoughts. Even though I haven't been to any of the tapings or gatherings I still feel loved. You people have been so great through all the bad times. I know sometimes I get a bit over sensitive about certain things, you guys keep me in line. I do get frustrated that I can't get to any of the gatherings, because of my money situation. Man, I would do anything to get a plane ticket and fly to LA or get a bus ticket and go to Hamilton for the STC tapings. But I can't, because I have other things to pay for like school and bills. Hopefully, when I get my settlement from my accident, if I have any money left after the medical bills are paid. I might have money for the TO Convention, which I will definately go to no matter what. I REALLY want to meet you guys. Well, *sniff* enough of this. I'm going to go and cry now. :)
