About Me
I am often asked where I learned about home businesses, how I became involved and how I made my choices.

In June of 1983, I gave birth to my first child. My husband and I were both in favor of me being a stay at home mom. We knew things might be tight financially, but it would be worth it for me to stay at home with my daughter. When my daughter was just 2 months old, I was beginning to question my decision to be a stay at home mom. While I loved my daughter, I definitely felt something was missing from my life. For the first time, I found myself not having money I could call my own. For the first time, I found myself not having adults to communicate with.

I began making phone calls looking for a stay at home business opportunity. I also began reading books and educating myself on the home business industry.  When the internet began becoming a part of many folks lives I decided to learn all I could about this new tool.

The biggest benefit of a home business for me is the opportunity to stay at home with my children. I am there in the morning to see them off to school. I am there in the afternoon to welcome them back from their day at school. I am able to attend any and all performances, conferences etc. My kids have both told me numerous times how happy they are to have me here for them. They both tell me stories of unhappy classmates who carry keys to and from school and whose parents miss performances due to business meetings or late nights at the office. This benefit of being home with my children is what has kept me in the business for all these years. Of course, not having a boss for all those years is definitely an added bonus.
