Let me start off by telling you a little about the car. We bought the car from a friend of my husbands for $200 in 93. It was my first car and in it I learned how to drive a stick shift. It was in poor condition and was a daily driver to the machine shop where the prevoious owner worked. It had the ugly cheap rims that had rusted and original upholstery. While we owned it we rebuilt the motor, replaced the brakes, upholstery, repainted it, added a sunroof, tinted the windows, added air shocks, put a cd player and a great system in, found the aluminum mag style rims with running poney center caps, the only thing we didn't replace was the transmission. We sold the car in 97 when our son was born. It was around christmas time and we didn't have much money and it was too hard for me to get my son in and out of the car. We thought the people that wanted to buy it would take care of it as it was a gift to their son as a first car. As it turns out they didn't. I always regreted selling the car and said I would buy it back .....if I had the chance. Well, about 5 months ago (july 2000) one of my husbands friends told him that our mustang was on a car lot for sale, but the price on the windshield was $1000. Well,I wasn't going to pay more for it than what I sold it for, $850 in good shape, with the cd player still in it. When we went to look at the car (a month later, when the price had been dropped to $500 ) we were greeted with a broken dash, no gear shift knob,a broken quarter window, fuzzy seat covers, bashed in rear bumper and 2 inches of dust on EVERY THING!!!!!! When I saw the condition of "my baby" I cried. When the car sales man saw my reaction to the car he said " I'll make you a offer you can't refuse... $275 cash" so we bought it back. And I drove it home the next day (finding out on the way that the clutch and tranny were shot). Now this brings you up to date and the story continues with pictures. |
