A seguito del passaggio dei server di Geocities a Yahoo, la società ha adottato una politica di restrizione del traffico che non esito a definire deplorevole e vergonosa. Per raggiungere l'unica finalità di vendere un servizio di hosting a caro prezzo rispetto alle attuali quotazioni di mercato, hanno escogitato come stratagemma il blocco dell'accesso al sito ad ogni superamento dei limiti imposti.
Senza ombra di dubbio, una politica commerciale volta ad invogliare l'utente con servizi aggiuntivi sarebbe stata certamente più logica e senz'altro, a medio termine, vincente. Nel mio caso, hanno certamente perso un sito web discretamente frequentato dove pubblicare gli annunci dei loro sponsor!
Per tale motivo, ho preferito trasferire la traduzione Italiana della sci.electronics.repair FAQ nel sito web della Winjay S.r.l., azienda operante nel settore del software per automazione radio/tv, che nel frattempo ho fondato e che costituisce la mia attuale occupazione.
