Below are pictures of some of the animals that live in the area

Here goes one of the local animals in his habitat i.e. me in my tent.

I see lots of snakes, sometimes several a day. Luckily there is only one kind of snake around here. The gardener snake, which is harmless and they tend to get out of the way. The one on the right slithered into the bushes when I walked by but I was able to get a shot of part of it.

Slugs are prolific and get into everything. Here is one eating some horse scat.

Can you find the owl in this picture. We  were hiking near dusk and heard the birds sounding alarm calls. We searched for the predator and spotted an owl. It moved a couple of times after it saw us looking at it and giving away it's potision. I never did get a good angle and with the lighting the owl is hard to see.
