Plantain has basal, several-veined leaves. It has many medicinal uses. I use poultices for cuts, scrapes, rash and insect bites and have some dried for use during the winter as well as for teas to treat many ailments.
Lance (sword) shaped leaves. Swordfern is one of the dominant plants growing in the forests. We used it to line our steam pit and there is a pile of it under my tent to form a little bedding. Rhizomes can be eaten but I have not tried them.
Vanilla leaf has basal leaves on long stalks with asymmetrical, 3 fan-shaped, blunt toothed leaflets. It is one of my favorites. I have dried leaves in my tent for their aroma.
Huckleberries have alternate, oval shaped leaves. The berries come in red and blue and are very tasty
The purple flower in the foreground is coral root. It is a fungus that lives off dead plants.

Oregon Grape leaves are clustered, long and alternate. Shiney on both sides. Leaflets oblong to egg shaped with spiny teeth. Flowers are yellow. The purple  berries are edible. These are not rip yet. When the berry bunch first sprouts it is edible but a little sour. By the time they get this size they are too sour.
Piggy back has heart shaped, basal, hairy leaves on long hairy stalks and brownish-purple flowers. It is a prominant plant.
Pineapple weed is a small plant with basal leaves and small yelllow fruits on top. They smell great and taste good too. I have some dried out for tea which has medicinal uses.
Devil's club is aptly named. Vicious thorns that seem to reach out and grab you. Leaves are large maple shaped. Small white flowers and many nasty thorns. The inner bark has many medicinal uses.
Skunk cabbage has large lance-shaped leaves growing in a basal rosetta. It has big yellow flowers. We used it to wrap our food in the steam pit.
Self Heal has opposite, lance shaped leaves and small purple flowers. It has a square stem. It has medicinal uses.
The smaller multi stemmed tree is a vine maple.
