In his own right, IKE was somewhat of a local celebrity. Appearing in numerous German Shepherd Dog books, dog calendars and being nominated for Arizona Dog of the Year never turned his head.

Here he is in his last photo shoot with his best friend, Denim. Denim died a few months after IKE and had also been diagnosed with Degenerative Myelopathy.
