I was born in Washington D.C.,
grew up in Spokane, Washington and attended
Cornell University as a math major.
In Ithaca, I worked at the
Mathematics and
Engineering Libraries, ran
Risley Theatre for four seasons,
half-heartedly advised residents at
Risley Residential College, and enjoyed an exclusive undergrad astronomy course taught by Carl Sagan my sophomore year.
I also worked at
Housing Solutions as the database administrator, Collegetown Video, where I made it my sworn goal to show as many unwatchable movies as possible, and
Comics for Collectors, which really wasn't as much fun as you'd think.
Post-college, I moved to Los Angeles and worked at the
USC Math Department for a couple of years. I moved to Seattle in 1996 and worked at the now-defunct
Foreign Relations as the sys admin/webmaster for another two years. In 1998, I moved to New York City and started working at the
New York Society Library as the computer specialist/webmaster. In 2002, I was promoted to Head of Systems at the library.
I currently live and work in New York City.
