Admiral Kimara i-Mhiessan Cha'Suran Commander of the Resolute Terran Persona: Kimberly Donohoe Family Father - Galan i-Mhiessan tr'Lhaitrha Mother - Saeihn e-Vaebn t'Lhaitrha Son - Maec e-Suran Gishvind Daughter - Ael e-Suran Farstorm Other Positions Xenodiplomatic Alliance Captain's Table Education Romulan Imperial Academy Romulan Star Empire Diplomatic Corps Languages Romulan, Federation Standard, Vulcan, Ferengi, Klingon, Cardassian, Breen, Orion, other Alpha Quadrant Languages Hobbies and Interests Languages, Music, History, Meditation techniques. Physical Description Lacks heavy brow ridge of average Romulan, which isn't all that noteworthy, as not all Romulans have heavy brow ridges. Has reddish-brown hair, an odd shade that shows up in the royal family at times. History Not much is known about Kimara's younger days as a youth or even early adult life, except that she graduated from the Romulan Imperial Academy with top honors. She was made an attaché to Senator T'Kan, where she excelled under his tutelage. It is not known whether T'Kan has had connections with the Tal Shiar, but it is known that Senator T'Kan was instrumental in bringing the Federation to Romulus for meetings. Kimara not only served T'Kan, but was known also to be among the Romulan delegation to Deep Space Nine, where she again served as an attaché for her time there. Under the terms of the Alliance accords, ambassadors were exchanged between the Federation and the Romulan Empire. Kimara was included in the entourage of the Romulan ambassador to UFP headquarters on Earth. Eventually she was given her own ship, the Resolute. Under her command was a handpicked crew comprised of various backgrounds, and known for their resourcefulness. Their job was to "acquire" things for the Empire. After serving the RSE for some time, the Resolute was held responsible for an incident that cause the Empire great embarrassment. Kimara was brought up for charges of actions against the RSE. Not appreciating her crew being used as a scapegoat, Kimara escaped with them and sought a place for her crew. First they joined with the KAI, but now are a ship for hire. Calling House Veska their base, they kept the IKV designation for convenience. Personality Profile Kimara is a consummate diplomat. Coupled with her many experiences outside of Romulan space has given her a healthy respect of many alien species, as well as some odd, exotic tastes compared to the normal xenophobic Romulan. She speaks the major languages of the Alpha Quadrant fluently and is aware of their many customs. Even though she is a diplomat, she is not a talker, but prefers to listen and let others speak. Not only does she have a clear idea of what she wants to do, but she also has a clear idea of how to go about it, and she is not about to let anything get into her way. Although she tends to play down the fact, her manners bespeak her position as niece to the Head of one of the Great Houses. Kimara has a very strong sense of self-servitude. She is diligent, perhaps too much so, and although she is more comfortable with mere observation, she can handle herself in social situations and possesses a mordant sense of humor that she is known to exhibit when least expected. Then again, don’t take her threat to “space you in your underwear” lightly. Commander Charles David McDaniel Executive Officer Terran Persona: Dave James Family Father - Lawrence McDaniel, Terran Mother - Centurion Lavinia Augustinius, Romulan Spouse - Hannam, daughter of K'Mek Children - two daughters, Dhael and Teelis, and son, Dan-el Education Caledonia Military Academy Starfleet Advanced Security Training (Classified - Triple Alpha Security Coding) Physical Description A tall, powerfully built man. Light horizontal scar across his left cheek. Slightly crooked eyebrows, the only external sign of his Romulan genes. Personal History Born on the McDaniel estate, west of New Arbroath, Forfarshire, Caledonia III. His father is Lawrence McDaniel, former High Sheriff of Forfarshire, now retired. His mother is Centurion Lavinia Augustinius, both retired and a refugee from one of the Romulan Empire’s periodic political upheavals. From an early age, David showed an interest in police and security matters. This intensified at age 6, when he discovered his mother had been a member of the infamous Tal Shiar, the Romulan Security Service. His unrelenting efforts to learn more about the Tal Shiar caused his mother to reluctantly discuss the Tal Shiar, and their covert techniques. She was later dismayed to see him practicing these on neighborhood playmates! After doing well in primary and secondary schooling, his father sponsored David into the Caledonia Military Academy. While there, he was also a Reserve Constable in the Provincial Constabulary. He graduated with Honors, earning a Joint Commission as Ensign in both Starfleet, and the Caledonian Home Forces. McDaniel was assigned to the Starfleet vessel U.S.S. Oregon for further Security training. While aboard, he volunteered to serve with the Oregon's Away Team. On several occasions, his personal bravery was noted for shielding members of the Team from harm from hostile cultures, until transporter or shuttle rescue occurred. In 2831, with undisclosed orders, he reported to serve with Albann Taibhse Neart, the justly famous Caledonia Ghost Force. His activities with this elite Black Ops unit are classified. However, myth and rumor, along with occasional sanitized press reports infer the ATN was responsible for preempting and severely damaging planned Species 8472 military operations. It is alleged McDaniel earned his nickname "Faileas Tigeir" ("Shadow Tiger") during this time; inquiries about this are always politely turned aside. McDaniel was placed on Extended Furlough in 2834, with his assignment in ATN completed. He decided to spend time on Romulus to learn more about his mother’s people. Through means unknown, he became aware of the RSE Resolute. His curiosity was piqued, as an ancestor had served aboard a privateer. In late 2834, McDaniel was assigned to the Resolute. He soon became a legend among dockyard workers with his unnerving talent for appearing when and where least expected. But, all admitted that his security expertise was respected and held in awe. After serving as Chief of Security for some time, there was a change in the command staff. The second in command position became open, and McDaniel accepted the Riov’s offer to become her first officer. Personality Profile A complex man. Friendly and easygoing with his shipmates - an outstanding sense of humor. Yet also capable of turning into an efficient security officer - instantly implacable and ruthless, if necessary. Outstanding marksmanship skills with disruptor weapons and other armory weaponry. Totally devoted to his Captain and shipmates, but carries a streak of fatalism within. When irritated or annoyed, tends to swear in Gaelic. Hobbies /Interests Collects antique bladed weapons of any Federation world. Can play a good game of tri-di chess. Likes reading books about ancient history, especially Scottish history. Plays the bagpipes particularly well, choosing the deeper-toned Lowland pipes out of consideration for his shipmates. |
