His father, a diplomat, met his mother while on a long serving mission between the Romulans and the Xenexians. D’lnd later was killed while on a mission to Cardassia. Maec’s mother is the Riov of the Resolute. He has a devilish smile that belies his true intent. His hair is kept short, and usually wears standard issue fatigues. While in his own sections, he’s never without his side arm and honor sword. When traveling to other parts of the ship he is in a standard uniform with his honor sword on one side and field knife on the other. Both Romulans and Xenexians are known for their ferocity and as such, Maec is a good fighter who is well disciplined in various techniques. He has some competence on every weapon ever used by Romulans, which include ancient ones such as a Teral'n, a stick-like weapon with razor blades along the top, and the D'Delak, a small bow and arrow-like weapon. Maec is also fascinated with weapons of other backgrounds. He is adept with a bat'leth, a lirpa, the heavy Naussican swords, and various other weapons. Maec has natural leadership abilities that have been honed well. He dislikes those who are greedy, obnoxious or ignorant. Maec is confident, imaginative and inquisitive. He is a problem-solver. He is fit and is used to fighting his own corner. Special Abilities Maec is compassionate - a rarity for his people. He can quickly hone in on other's feelings towards him or others and tries his best to deal with the emotions of others considerately. Coming from two warriors races, as well inheriting his parents’ diplomatic skills has made Maec a valuable asset to the Empire. Another skill is his sixth sense about danger. Quirks Maec likes to hypothesize about life - and engage others in hour-long conversations about the nature of the universe and the people in it. Hobbies/Interests He has many physical talents and likes climbing, extra-g skydiving, swimming and martial arts. He has a good musical ear and plays several instruments from various cultures. Gavor R'Dok Assistant Helm Officer Gavor is an adventurous type. He doesn’t think about the consequences and just jumps into things, but is likely to listen to older, more experienced persons. Gavor was the first of his family to join the fleet and found he had a natural talent for flying. He has not met a ship yet that he cannot master in a day. After one successful mission he was noticed by his superiors and was appointed to the honorable task of being in the Romulan Home Guards. As honorable as it sounds, Gav became bored standing guard all day. At the first possibility he left the fleet and planned an interstellar adventure trip. But because he had spent all his money on buying himself a more glorious lifestyle during those boring days, he could not afford to buy a ship or passage on a ship. He stowed away on the Mr'Vak, a ship just leaving for the border planets. The Mr’Vak was “detained” by the IKV Resolute and boarded. Gavor risked showing himself to the boarding party, offering his services. Impressed by his audacity, he was brought back to the Resolute where he’s been ever since. |
