Albino Squirrels! |
That's right, Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music is home to an albino squirrel. I like to think of this squirrel as belonging to me. Even if that's really not true. |

Sadly, these pictures are not of Oberlin's own albino squirrel. They are of another albino squirrel who lives at RPI. Our albino squirrel is better, though. Anyway, this squirrel has its own website. Check it out here. |

I have now seen the albino squirrel four times. Each time was around the Conservatory or that corner of Tappan Square. The best sighting was my second. I was inside the Conservatory by the lounge and the squirrel was in this little courtyard outside. I was very close to the squirrel, but since I was behind glass, it didn't feel threatened by me and I got a good, long look. I probably looked pretty stupid - I was standing in the middle of a crowded hallway looking at a squirrel - but it was worth it. |

Albino Squirrel Rumors! |
It has been reported that Oberlin is not home to one, but two albino squirrels. I heard (thirdhand) that one albino squirrel was seen chasing another around a tree. Here's hoping they have little albino squirrel babies! |

It was reported by Dena and her special secret cameras she is using to stalk Steve that Steve and the albino squirrel have fallen in love and were kissing in a tree. I don't know whether to be jealous or overjoyed.... |
