2nd Annual Illuminati 2G Music Awards
Best West Coast Album- 2pac/Until The End Of Time: You can change the album up as much as you want, but the bottom line is that 2pac is still as influential to hip hop now as he was before his death. Many complained about the edits and the changes in the beats, but even with all of that, his album managed to sell 3 million copies and outsell EVERY other album in hip hop. Many say that this is a reflection of how weak west coast rap is if Pac is still prevalent, I say that it is a testament to how important this revolutionary is to hip hop.

Other Nominees: Jayo Felony, DPG, Eastsidaz, Dilated Peoples, Swollen Members, Kurupt, Big Syke, Outlawz, Cypress Hill
Best Album- Nas/Stillmatic: Although this year really did not have many stellar albums, Nas reclaimed his throne to New York and hip hop with this classic. He raps with such a fury and purpose that you can't help but be drawn in. Jay Z may still rock the mic on the East, but Nas is the champ this go round.

Other Notables: D12, 2pac, Jay Z, Chino XL, Dungeon Family, DPG, Fat Joe, Cormega, Jayo Felony, Swollen Members
Best Group Album- Wu Tang/Iron Flag: The Shaolin Kings are back and this album really hit hard with a vegenance. Not to say that the "W" was a horrible album. This album had that classic Wu sound that so many people have been searching for since their 2nd album. The Wu once again shows why they are the elite group in hip hop today.

Other Notables: DPG, Swollen Members, Allfrumthai, UGK, Dungeon Family, Mobb Deep, De La Soul, Cypress Hill, Dilated Peoples, D12
