jennie meredith has been making things since she was a little girl. back then, her creations were largely centered around dolls and horses, and were highly influenced by the little house on the prairie books. she really liked art class in school where she learned how to make ceramic bowls and collages with feathers.

jennie’s first knitting project was a carnation pink sweater vest. since it didn’t exactly match her 7th grade wardrobe, she gave it to her mom who in turn, gave it to thomise, the cat. thomise really liked the sweater.

quite interestingly, jennie went to college as a journalism major. she really liked to write but found design a million times more interesting. since she really, really liked getting mail as a kid (almost as much as making things), she decided to start her own card company in 2000 and named it i’ll write already.

now jennie keeps busy making cards, magnets, and scarves year round. she is a firm believer in doing what you love and is always amazed at how different people express their creativity.
