Songs that remind me of America |
*Gothem City by R.kelly. This is THE song for New York I think. If you have this CD you will notice on the cover the Twin Towers in the back ground. A beautiful skyline. "A city of justice, A city of love". When I sing it now tho, I say "New York City". *My Love Is You Love by Whitney Houston. The beginning lyrics go "If tomorrow is judgement day and I'm standing on the front line..." and it's goes "If I wake up in World War 3/ I see distruction and poverty". *There You'll Be by Faith Hill. Of course this is the theme tune to Pearl Harbor and the events have been reminded us of what happened at Pearl Harbor. Also the lyrics go "In my dreams I'll always see you sore across the sky." For many people I think those lyrics may mean something. *Goodbye by the Spice Girls. My mum has lost a friend who worked in the Towers. I'm sure this song reminds her and many others of the tragedy/ *Earth Song by Michael Jackson. Just listen to the lyrics. *Give Peace A Chance by John Lennon "all we are saying is give peace a chance..." *Imagine by John Lennon. "Imagine theres no countries/ it isn't hard to do/ Nothing to kill or die for/ And no religon, too" *Other songs that just remind me of AMERICA. *When am i gunna get over you by LeAnn Rimes *Eden by Sarah Brighton *Lord can you hear me? by Spiritualize *I dont want to miss a thing by Aerosmith *One More Chance by MFT *Don't judge this book by MFT *When God made you by MFT *Angel by Sarah Mclachlan *Let love lead the way by the Spice Girls *Trouble by Coldplay *Stuck in a moment by u2 *I'll be missing you by Puff Daddy and Faith Evans *Amazing Grace (this is one of my favourite songs, it's scottish and I'm half Scottish and I played on the morning of the attack when I woke up (morning in Britain that is). *Heal the World by Michael Jackson. *Viva Forever by the Spice Girls *Love by John Lennon I can't even listen to any of these songs now and not cry. I'm listening to When God made you by the MFTs, and I'm having alot of difficulty trying to hold back the tears. These songs are always gonna remind me of what those murderers have done. I'm now listening to One More Chance by the MFTs, it's just so traumatic and unbelieveable. Justice will be taken.... I just hope it's the right kind of jutice. |
