Well, the November 16 show at the Rhythm Hive blew me away. A true rock 'n' roll experience. Billy was great, rolling on the floor and really getting into it. The band played some more songs I hadn't heard. I think they were called Big City, Tiny Fists and Hotwire My Heart. The set ended with Billy taping down keys on his organ and the whole band running offstage. I tried to talk to Harry afterwards, but someone got in my way. I did ask Kriss for a light though. I kept the match he gave me. It was the best show EVER! Can't wait for the next. |

Jan 16 - the Rock 'n' Roll Club, Oxford Street Well, I had to beg my mum to let me out on a school night, but once she knew that Tracy was going with me it was OK. We got there pretty early. There were a lot of people there. Some of them looked pretty weird. But I guess that's rock 'n' roll for you!!!!!! The Hotwires were BRILLIANT!!! They played pretty much the same set as last time, except they didn't play I AM CRIME. Boo! That's my favourite. But they played a new one about a car crash which was good. We really cheered. The band all looked good. Cherry hit someone (have a look at the gossip page for more details. Billy looked cool as ever (we were going to wear our we heart Billy badges but chickened out. Everyone went mad and we all shouted for more. It was great. But I had to get home cos I had to get up early. BOOO! See gossip for more exciting stuff about the nite. I think next time all us Hotwires fans should meet up at the show. I can make badges so we all recognise each other. That would be cool wouldn't it? Is that punk? |
The Hotwires show at the Notting Hill Arts Club was brilliant!!!!!!! They played all their usual stuff (which was great!!!) and some new songs too (which were great!!!!). Billy jumped around a lot, and came out into the crowd and leaped around. We all went "Yeahhh" and then they went off. We shouted for more but they didn't play any more. Tracy says that that was lucky because we had to go pretty soon after that. We saw a bit of the other band, The Bellrays, and they were pretty good too. The lead singer was a bit shouty and scary though, and the band weren't as cute as the Hotwires boys!!!!!!! We also managed to make it to see the show at The Monarch in Camden town. It was really good. The band were all leapimng around and Kriss did some really amazing stick twirly things. He does this really cool thing where he points both his sticks that we always go "yeahhhh" at. Read more about my nights out with the hotwires (I wish!!!!) in gossip. |
