How did this man come to be
The husband that God picked for me
Beautiful eyes, handsome and tall
God must have loved me most of all
I dreamed of a gown, trimmed in lace
A man of stature, a man of faith
A man who would love me until the end
Someone as husband, but most of all "friend"
Then God was smiling down upon me
Church bells were ringing merrily
The two of us now became happily one
Till death do us part, Thy will be done
With all of His goodness, there was more
Many countless blessings than before
He sent down our babies to love and to hold
Socks to be sorted and diapers to fold
Blessings of children, a priceless treasure
Grace beyond words, love beyond measure
I looked up to heaven and said with a grin
"I'm sure glad God, that You picked him"
