Dear Frank,
First I want to take a moment and thank you for your work among us at Indiana Wesleyan University. You have assisted us in the development of the online program and for that we are grateful. It is with great sadness that a realization has been made that there is not a proper fit between you and this organization. Therefore this afternoon at 5pm is your last day of employment. We ask that you take all personal belonging with you and not be back to the property for future visits. For the records, I am very willing to accept your resignation letter, but if you decide not to do so, we will follow the appropriate procedures for termination of employment at 5pm today.
With the above stated, personnel requests the following be left in your office,
-any keys to the facilities
-parking pass
-ID card
-laptop computer and printer if applicable
-any other IWU property
With regard to your classes that you are teaching, we will have substitutes for you and ask that you do not show up to class. You will receive compensation for the classes that you are currently teaching on May 31.
We have also added one months pay to your check. The check may be cashed on May 31 and will assist you in the transition.
Frank, I trust that God will lead your life and that he will bless you in the future.
Respectfully,
Dr. Mark A. Smith
Vice President
