The story starts off with Tanpopo riding on her bicycle with her pet Popura. However, she was so happy she didn't look at where she was going and ran into this cute guy. This cute guy is actually Kouki. *she didn't know at the time of course* She got hurt, and he was really nice and wrapped his hankerchief around her thigh. Tanpopo was so happy to make a friend like him. *she is a exchange student I believe* She went to her new school the next day *Meio School* and met the same guy. However, he was cold to her. And everyone laughed at Tanpopo's stupidity. *u'll know if you read the series -_-;;* The reason for Kouki's coldness is because he is the son of a very rich family. Everyone in school wants to be friends with him for one purpose---to set up a good connection with him. So he doesn't believe in friendship, nor people who wants to be friends with him at school. That includes Tanpopo. Tanpopo never quit in establishing their friendship~so as u can tell...she has to suceed. Maybe they will be "more" than just friends.

She first pretends to be Tanpopo's friend. But she actually did that because Tanpopo was extra close to Kouki. And she likes Kouki. Soon, her jealousy sides starts to act up, and she tried to destroy the beautiful dandelions Kouki planted for Tanpopo.
