Imaj Band began in September of 2000. Joel and Georges had been with Sakaj Band, a Haitian “Compas” Group, the foundation of what eventually would become Imaj Band.

Joel M Girardin: Group leader, Guitarist, keyboard programming, Background Vocals, Writer: Born in Cayes, Haiti on September 13, 1966, I left Haiti at 15 and moved to Miami before I went to Los Angeles to attend the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California. Being a guitarist for 12 years, I felt the need to be more versatile and became a keyboardist 6 years ago. My driving force is my desire to produce music everybody wants to dance to. I want it to be heard throughout the world.

Doumicson Dominique: Lead Singer: Born in Petite Rivière de nippes, Haiti. I moved to Tampa, Florida about a year ago. I’ve been singing for 11 years. Before joining the group Force One at the beginning of 2000, I played with many different groups, Original Band, Sirop De Miragôane, Full Feeling. My goal is to become a very popular singer.

Georges Cassy: Background Vocal: Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. I moved to Tampa Florida in November 1990. I’ve been singing for 3 years. I co founded the group Sakaj in 1997 which eventually became Imaj Band in September 2000. My goals are to be one of the top vocal singers, and to perform national and internationally.

Yadelet Julienne Elisee: Lead & Background Vocal: Born in Guadeloupe. I moved to Tampa, Florida at the beginning of the year 2000 from West Palm Beach. I’ve been singing for 10 years. Before joining Imaj Band in October 2000, I sang in a Gospel band called Echo Evangelique, and then I joined New Creation Band. My main goal is to become a very popular singer.

Daniel Saintil: Bass Player, Background vocal: Born in Port-de-Paix, Haiti. I’ve been Playing for 16 years. Before joining Force One in Tampa, Florida, I played with Fanmi Mizik, Top Stars and Cosmic. My goals are to reach the top, and to be recognized internationally.
