Brian stroked Theibeth's deep mahogany hide as they watched the sun set. It was a beautiful sight, and all Brian coul think about was how Boo was doing, and wishing she was there to see it.

Soon, ride-mine. Soon. She will be with us and you will be complete again.

"Thanks Theib," said Brian with a smile.

Up a little... scratch... right there yessss... Brian laughed.

So Theibeth was growing. Flying now, actually. Brian was worried about Boo-- she was currently a candidate for another clutch, waiting patiently as the days went by, waiting, waiting for the day of the Hatching, so see if she would Impress... He knew she was going out of her mind. That was just like her-- she had such an upbeat, happy personality, but that was on the outside. On the inside, she was the most battered, confused and unsure person he knew. With a tendancy to beat herself up over the smallest things. He sighed, and hoped she would do well. For one thing, he missed her. For another... well, he just wanted her to be happy.

Theibeth glanced up, and Brian grinned at the mental eye-rolling he was receiving.

She will be FINE, rider-mine. Fine. She is a good person, a wonderful personality, and is perfect to Impress. Or else she wouldn't be here, right? Thus the whole Searching process, to pick out Cnadidates worhty... Ringing any bells? Brian shook his head and threw a rag at the large brown Weyrling. There was an exaggerated, dramatic mental gasp.

I KNOW you didnt just throw something at me.! the dragon crowed loudly, smiling. Theibeth flicked his tail across Brian's back, and from there grew an all out war.

Brian and Jeanine were together for this hatching. Amanda had already Impressed... this gorgeous violet. Boo had told him all about it-- she had been there, and she saw it happen, and while she had not Impressed herself, she was glad for Amanda. He was nervous standing there, with all the other candidtaes, but he was glad to have someone he knew.

"Little bit nervous, Bri-Bri?" whispered Jeanine. He answered with a slight shrug and a smile, and turned his attention back to the Sands. Jeanine was jittering up and down, and it was starting to bother him, make him more nervous than he had been. He moved away slightly, and put a little distance between them. The mother dragon glared at the group of candidates-- Brian felt as if she was glaring right at him, angry that they had dared to converse in her presence. He flinched a bit at the thought-- could a mother dragon influence the hatchlings choices, if she disliked the candidate? Before he could work himself up even more, it began. His stomach was in knots.

A bronze hatched first. Brian noticed the people watching lean forward, and whisper. On cue, three eggs shattered at the same time.

"A green, a blue and a brown walk into a bar..." whispers Jeanine. Brian cant help but let out a short laugh before he manages to hold it in. Just what he needed to help relieve his stress... Or was it something else...?

The green and the blue chose their bonds, while the brown remained back to help out a green sibling. Brian made his way over to the helpful, considerate brown..

"Are you going to wait here all day, Theibeth?" he asked down at the Brown. Theibeth looked up smugly.

I was waiting for you to come to me, rider. Brian and Theibeth left the Sands. Brian offered a nod towards Jeanine, who nodded back. Brian smiled when he saw that Theibeth had offered his own nod towards Jeanine as well.
