They had met when she was a freshman, he a sophomore. They were in Mrs. Leonard's geometry class. She was quiet and wore glasses. He had longer hair and wore "big pants", as she referred to them now. He fell in love as soon as he saw her. He always told her he never believed in love at first sight until he saw her. Then he knew. But he was nervous, and she was shy, and they never actually talked until the next year. Then they became best friends. And though they dated different people, he still liked her, and she grew to like him as well. And though he didn't know it at the time, she had also been attracted to him back in geometry. So they dated different people, because he liked her but wouldn't say anything to jeopardize the friendship...and vice versa. So that year passed, and then it was his senior year. They hung out a lot over the summer...flirted, hung out, had tons of fun. That fall, she helped him out with the school play. By then, she was the crazy outgoing person she was now. During the play, the flirted some more... And during thanksgiving break, they finally realized how much they really cared for each other. She went away to New York, and when she came back, she had a phone message from him. She called, and he asked her out. They'd been dating ever since, a year and a half now.
He parked, and waited for the bell to ring. He saw people roaming around, and got out of his car to greet her. There she was. He had to laugh- she was so weird! The hockey girls always wore their uniforms to school the day of a game. But there was his Boo...wearing rainbow fishnets under the skirt. No wonder she was voted most unique. Even when in uniform she found ways to stand out.
She spotted him and came running. He laughed, twirled her, kissed her. They dumped her stuff off at her car, and piled into his on the way to grab a quick snack from Subway before her game.
