The day was totally uneventful. Well, Jill showed her her new tattoo. But that was about it. Period. Nothin. School was so boring. Oh well. It had to be done. That was her attitude to a lot of things. She just tried to look okay, passable, and keep okay grades in her classes. That was a good word describing her. Okay. She was so indifferent towards most things in life. Her parents hated that. They wished she'd apply herself. But that just wasn't her personality.

She walked down the hallway towards her last period class. She sat in her seat right as the bell rang. They were having a party! Well, that was cool. Chips and sodas and movies. Some girl's birthday. Cool. So they ate and drank and had a good time.

She walked towards her car, on her way to Subway before the game. She got her normal- and ran into Boo and Brian.

"Hey guys!" she called out, breaking into a huge smile. Finally, some emotion! She loved Boo and Brian. She didn't get to see Brian much, now that he went to college. But Boo was one of her best friends, though they'd been growing more and more distant lately. It wasn't really either one of their faults... They had different classes, different friends. But at least they still had hockey together.

"Hey Kait! I haven't seen you in forever!" crowed Brian happily. They hugged, and Boo bounced around with a gigantic smile on her face. They joined her at her table.

"Do you think we'll win?" asked Boo with a grin. Of course they would.

"Of course we will," replied Kait, taking a big bite of her sub.

"Mmm... that looks good. I need one of those," said Boo, standing and running for the counter. Brian and Kait laughed, and she ate as they talked about life, school, and the upcoming game.
