Saturday July 1, 2006

June has come and gone so it's time to start July which features 4,000 stairs on the 4th of July and "Say Goodbye to July." It was 9:58 and 80 degrees when I returned for the 2nd day in a row and one could tell immediately that it would be a great day because at the gate in the office and she even said Hello was Kristen and I like her so. I hope to see her everyday but only get one chance because that is not an exit at season passes. If I could see one person more it would be her. I even think my heart fluttered when she said hello today. With a smile on my face I entered the park and I started the day off at the vortex it was very hot and I have found I like to be wet at most times.

I then took "THE HIKE" over to the bowl slides you have to come early if you want to ride those with little wait because the line grows and when I get there at the opening bell I like to take advantage of these rare opportunites. I alternated between yellow and red riding each slide 2x pushing the stair count up to 360 and then over to the dragon I would go. Wait we've seen this SHOW before as it was the perkiest slide attendant of them all who was actually thinking of putting on a sweatshirt can you believe this? I rode mostly the curved slide actually it was 8x for the curved and 2x for the steep slide quickly pushing the stair count up to 1,300.

I then went over to the storm and I rode each slide vortex abyss and then the cyclone and there was my favorite slide attendant so far Danielle one wondered where she had been but this is my favorite storm slide and now she is here this hadn't happened all year. I am requesting her on the abyss for 4,000 stairs on the 4th of July. The abyss had a new sign that was nice. I mean for I think 2 weeks I have been so depressed at not having Danielle push me down a slide that I have nearly stopped at one of the 3 Dairy Queens that I pass on US 30 when coming home wait does that remodeled Speedway have a Dairy Queen in it anymore maybe not. When I am depressed I like to have a peanut buster parfait and eat the whole thing. I was getting near the breaking point but at last she has returned see I knew when I saw Kristen at the gate everything today would be great.

The stair count went to 1,620 and then I went to the dragon I rode the steep slide and Melanie was there I think she hand new sandals. I like that. I actually ran out of energy after that and the stair count went to 1,714 so I needed to get some rest. Will I have this problem on Tuesday let's hope not. I had to sit for awhile and then I took "The HIke" can you believe "The Sensational Sasha" still hasn't got a Tootsie Pop this year and she is there every Tuesday well this Tuesday I will be there in the day taking a break for dinner like 4:30-7:00 or so and then I'll be right back. I'll be at the storm and maybe the Lazy river and if time permits maybe even the action river. You know after Wednesday the Tootsie Pops go to the office where I work and I have to make sure I get chocolate for Rachel and "The Sensational Sasha" but those are not big movers at work all the rest go pretty fast.

I went around the action river and at the lifeguard stand where you exit the red bowl slide there was a red umbrella that may not have been bolted down all that securely because it went flying through the air with the greatest of ease it only made it a foot and then I looked around to see if I could see "I am the Cute One" because while I had not imagined a scenario like this it could be how she takes me out just waiting for me to go around and if the wind was blowing in the opposite direction the point could have possible gone right into my chest. I did not see her around which then made me think how diabolical this plan was. Luckily the wind was blowing so it went to the fence and then the lifeguard on duty did recover it but wasn't really sure what to do with it.

I took "The Hike" keeping my eyes peeled for "I am the Cute One" just in case and wondering maybe this is all just a coincidence and I am pretty sure she isn't here today so maybe I should not be afraid of her since things just happen and she is not putting them in place but then there is paranoia and what if she really is? I went to the storm and rode the abyss and then right back where I left her before was Danielle at the cyclone this is so great. I asked her when was the last time she flew a kite and she said "I am not very good at it" and I asked her if she had ever flown a kite and she send it just fell to the ground and we had a chuckle adn it was just great. It would have been the "LAST RIDE" favorite slide attendat, favorite storm slide, and a good story to end with but it wasn't even and there was time. The count was 1,906 so I went over and rode the curved slide of the dragon making the count 2,000 for the day and 38,402 for this season leaving me 61,598 away from the 100,000 stair goal.

I went to church tonight so that I can return at 10 a.m. tomorrow morning hopefully I'll get lucky enough to see Kristen and then everythign will be great. You don't have to wait to make things great you can do that now by coming on out to Indiana's Premiere Waterpark Deep River Waterpark of course. I'll see you there.

Sunday July 2, 2006

Finally I hit the trifecta again when I arrived at 9:53 a.m. with the temperature 80 degrees but it seems that the Holy Grail once again will allude me this season as I try to link up 5 days in a row. I will not be at the park on Monday July 3 but return for 4,000 stairs on the 4th of July and many people it seems are lucky enough to be working from 9:30 a.m until 9:30 p.m. In July hopefully by the end I can reclaim Monday back and hit get to the Holy Grail this year. Before I play 4,000 stairs on the 4th of July it is necessary to familiarize myself with the park so today I would start with a tour of the park. I began at the red bowl slide and then the yellow. There were no lines at this time however it does take time to walk over there and on the 4th of July I probably won't be going that way until I have won for the day. The stairs on the bowl slides are actually the most difficult stairs to climb because they are made of wood which when wet is extremely slippery and on a hot day with the sun beating down the wood will burn your feet.

Next I went over to the dragon riding the curved slide and then the steep slide I hope to avoid the dragon on the 4th of July because those stairs take the most energy to climb but if I have to at any point in time I can just go up and down it as many times as I please. It will be the outlet slide. I then went over to the storm riding the cyclone, abyss, and vortex and this is where I plan to be on the 4th of July these for the number of stairs to a slide 64 are the easiest to climb and there is a good variety of slides although I imagine that the abyss will have to serve as my main slide but we will see. I then went on my favortie slide of them all whitewater where the attendant had dropped his sunglasses down the slide and Stephanie the lifeguard below had not seen them or I would have taken them up to him. I then went on each body slide and the stair count went to 660 and I had ridden every slide in the park once today.

I then went around the Lazy River and logistically speaking it does not have "THE HIKE" associated with it so I could get to it quicker in the event that rest is needed this will probably be the river of choice. Today it was filled with leaves and at a few points I was covered with them it wasn't actually all that pleasant but what was pleasant was seeing . I seldom see her anymore so what a treat that here we would happen to meet. I told her about this umbrella flying yesterday and how it was good that the wind was blowing the other way or it would have gotten me and I am pretty sure that Christina aka "I am the Cute One" set it all up and said she was going to ask her about that.

It was then time for the easiest thing there is to do "River to River" where I took "The HIKE" over to the action river and there was "I am the Cute One" and she was sitting in a chair and when she was sitting down I was not so afraid of her so I figured I may as well ask about this myself and she said she was not even there yesterday so she couldn't have had anything to do with that. I went around the river 3 times and then it was time for "The Show" where I go on the dragon at least 8x in a row and today it would be 10 mostly on the curved slide and quickly the stair count went up to 1,600 for the day.

I then went on the abyss pushing the stair count up to 1664 and then the problem with "The Show" is it takes a lot of energy to do it so I returned to the Action River and went around to catch my breath. Now what's this if this had happened yesterday I would really be concerned and I already was concerned as at the red bowl slide right where that umbrella flew through the air yesterday was "I am The Cute One" and boy did she have legs and I wish I had the camera for the money shot there because then you all could see how cute she is. Very interesting of all the stands in the action river that she would just happen to be at this one. I waited in the line and went on the yellow bowl slide and that guy from whitewater had not found his glasses as of yet and I did not like that. I did see Stephaine when I went around the river and she claimed that she never saw them. I then went on the curved slide of the dragon followed by the abyss 2x see how this slide is becoming my friend already ?

The stair count went to 1960 and today things were a little slow so once again back to the action river I would go around and around before returning to the storm where it was the Vortex hey there is Brittney and then the abyss 4 times in a row but on time number 3 with skies of grey the perkiest slide attendant of them all let me where her sunglasses on the ride. I love that and as Tori was pushing me she stopped mid sentence and said you might want to hold your glasses. I did not want to hold the glasses. I am a professional at this. I never lost Emily's glasses when she let me where them and I wouldn't lose these. Everything look different and it sure was fun as down the abyss I came and the sunglasses stayed right on my face they did get wet though but the slide attendant was all right with that Yes.

Next I went on my favorite ride of them all whitewater and one wonders where have all the Lindsey's gone? Oh here was one now coming down the stairs of whitewater and with her was "I am The Cute One" you know without my glasses my vision is impaired but if I get close enough I can actually see things pretty well and I think I was about to pass out at she is just so cute I don't know if we should be that close to one another. I am pretty sure that is the closest we have been all year. Pony tail, piereced navel, perfect legs, rounded face what's not to love when you see her? I did not pass out and that was a good thing and I made it down the slide.

The stair count went up to 2,324 and that was to be "The Last Ride" but I could not stop and over to the dragon I went and he got them back remember the slide attendant that lost his sunglasses on whitewater now he had them. Things were really picking up for him. I went on the curved slide 3x and the straight one once making the count 2,700 for the day but that is close to 3,000 but should I save strength for Tuesday it is warm out here today oh what the heck. I rode the cyclone followed by the abyss 3x and sitting on the edge of the water was "I am The Cute One" and I was more comfortable with her sitting down then she was not so scary. She was having a good day. She claims that she was not out to get me in fact she is not out to get anyone. I am not out to get her but obviously out to get some people I mean my number one enemy is Michael Essany and I thought the Post-Tribune had to many stories about him so I cancelled my subscription to that paper hopefully never to hear about him again.

"I am the Cute One" would like to know why I am afraid of her since she has not done anything to me. I am not sure but it probably has something to do with her being so cute as in the past cute lifeguards and I have not mixed well from "The Jordan Rules" to "The Trouble With Trisha" to "The Lovely Christina" who actually nearly destroyed Mark T and is the real reason I don't go in the wavepool anymore. The last time I was there she was working it and that was years ago. has given me her word that she won't do anything so terrible to me and I did give her that Nestle Cruch carmel bar last year and nothing bad happened so I feel safe with her now. Maybe one day everything will be all right but at least progress is being made in this situation.

I went on the curved slide fo the dragon for "THE LASt RIDE" and that made the stair count 3,050 for today making it 41,452 for the year still leaving 58,548 to reach 100,000 this summer. It was 2:57 and 87 degrees when I exited the park and I shall return on Tuesday for a very special Mark T presents Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop Toooooooooooooosday and 4,000 stairs on the 4th of July all in one day. I'll be at the park at 10 a.m. taking dinner I think from 4:30-7:00 or so and then return to slide the night away. Maybe I'll even give the pedometers I destroyed at the park away as flair but we will have to wait and see I have been waiting 6 years to finally get a chance to redeem myself from the last time the 4th of July was on a Tubin Tuesday and I failed to climb 4,000 stairs. Hopefully this year things will go better. After today though I had to come home and took a nap for two hours so maybe my energy has been zapped. Come in the morning, come in the afternoon or come at night but just make sure you come to Indiana's Premiere Waterpark Deep River Waterpark of course. I'll see you there.

The 4th of July and Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop Tooooooooooooosday all rolled into one July 4, 2006

My favorite game to play is "Let's Pretend the Day Didn't End." This is when I come to Deep River Waterpark on Tuesday night and then am right back on Wednesday morning when the park opens at 10 a.m. It is a rare game normally there are 10 chances all year long and that's how many there will be to play this year. It is great when I get to play that game but that won't be happening tomorrow but hopefully next week. There is a game that is even rarer than that and that is to climb 4,000 stairs on the 4th of July and it is game I have played 6 times prior to today and in those times I have climbed 4,000 stairs 4 times and I have not climbed 4,000 stairs 2 times.

Even rarer is The 4th of July on a Tubin Tuesday. The last time was 6 years ago in 2000 and on that day I could not climb 4,000 stairs so I have waited for 6 years to try again and more than likely this will be my last attempt on a Tubin Tuesday because the next time this rare event will happed in Tuesday July 4, 2017 some 11 years away and who knows what will happen by that time so it was time to seize the day but could I seize the day. I started off at the storm just as planned and up to time number 8 I followed the pattern all according to plan but then as suspected the abyss became the outlet slide and many times it I would ride. Then came a very bad situation when on this busy day the storm got down to just 2 slide attendants and 3 slides. While they tried and they tried and they even ran they could not keep up and one shouldn't complain because you could see them trying it still made the rides go very slow. At one point I thought maybe I should just volunteer to run this because then my dream of being a slide attendant would actually come true. See I just like to be on slides so that's the job for me. Ah well I'll keep dreaming.

I climbed the storm 16 times and the stair count went to 1,024 and the first 1,000 are always the easiest. It took slightly over an hour and then I even snuck on to my favorite ride whitewater putting the count up to 1,068 but would this prove to be a costly mistake or would time work in my favor? Around the river I would go and then back to the storm where by the 2nd time I got up they took a worker I wonder what she thought her day would be like when she came in to work could she have imagined working at the top of a slide. At one point I felt her nails were sharp and I think they may have took a piece of out my back but at least this was better than when there was no one. I rode the abyss 3x and the cyclone once. Apparently today was not the day to work on landings as once I flew out of the tube and then had it land right so I was in it again but the lifeguard shook her finger at me and said she nearly had to jump in and save me. I would really to see that. Obviously she was concerned about her hair it was in pigtails and had red and black ribbons in it. Actually I like that. They were some nice ribbons.

I then took "The HIKE" as things looked grim with a stair count of 1,324 and long lines with many patrons. I went around the Action River once and I really wanted to get out but all the exits were jammed so I ended up on the Yellow Bowl slide because it was the only way out and the stair count went to 1398. I went and rode the storm some more that same girl was at the abyss how about this and I rode the abyss 3x and the cyclone once pushing the count up to 1,654 for the day but time ticked off the clock.

I then went and rode on the dragon first on the curved slide ant then the steep slide and wondered what happened to all the chairs and the slide attendant did not know as she just got there and pointed out that all the chairs at all the slides had suddenly gone away and I remember last season watching that slide attendant climb to the top with the chair it must have been some feet for someone to go around and take all these chairs from the tops of slides. Of course last year the lifeguards at action river did not have chairs and their was a whole big issue about why slide attendants should not have chairs. The count went up to 1,842 the hour went past one so it was 1,000 stairs in about an hour now over 2 hours had passed and I could not even get in another 1,000

This time I went to the storm and while I had been riding 4 times it was only 3 and finally the count went above 2,000 to 2,034 and I did not know if I could do any more so I took "The HIKE" all the way over to the Action River and I found Emily but I really did not know that was her name maybe I had met before well I am sure I had but I did not know her name. In fact I saw her earlier in the day. I learned that she is not a vegetarian and that her dad works in Napperville and that is where rich people live because that is where our computer guy Joe Neal lives and I once said to his dad John Neal isn't Napperville where all rich people live and he said yes so that verified that. I never actually got in the action river to go around but I saw "The Sensational Sasha" who would just walk around the river and I could get her a tootsie pop and so I took "The HIKE" and then the "The HIKE" back and she was no where to be found.

I went over to the dragon and there was Rachel her hair was braided and in pigtails. I absolutlely love that because it is my favorite and I went on the curved slide once and then I went and got Rachel a tootsie pop she also likes chocolate and then I went on the curved slide 2 more times and yesterday was Rachel's mom's birthday so Rachel did not make her mom make her lunch instead she gave her the day off and allowed her to buy her lunch at Panera Bread and then they went to a bookstore where they spent hours and Rachel sat on the floor and apparently read a book about a talking polar bear. I walked with Rachel from the bottom of the dragon and nearly made it to the action river but then finally found "The Sensational Sasha" and I had no tootsie Pops on me but now she could escort me through the park so now escorted by the park manager I went completely the other way but the lines were long and thats ok but I don't know that I need to do so much walking. Time ticked away and the count went up to 2,316

Now they sent up the reinforcements to the storm. I think they were drafting lifeguards now and I went on the abyss and this time I made it 6 times and things were even at 2,700 now if i could just make it to 3,000 before it was time to break for the day everything would be ok but all I have had to eat all day was one rasberry tootsie pop and I drank a lot of water before I came so I would not get dehydrated but that caused other problems for me and I had to often leave the slide but I geared up once more and this girl at the abyss she seemed quite excited and I wondered if she could keep up that pace all day but she did for me when I went on the abyss 6 more times and the line was not so bad for most of it and the count went to 3,084 and could I just finish it off now. I think not it was like 3:30 and I took "The HIKE" and I went over and around Action River and hey remember when I saw Emily earlier and now she was at that place again. Apparently there are 3 Emiliys which should make it is easy to find one. I was to shy to ask if I could wear her sunglasses plus I wasn't going on any slides. I was so worn out that I just went around this action river 3 times. It was 4:27 and 76 degrees when I exited the park. I had my hand stamped for reentry although they weren't sure what to do when I put my hand on there podium.

It was a long time that I spent away but finally at 7:00 p.m. with the temperature 75 degrees I returned to see if I could win this and the lines had gone down considerably and it might be easy to finish this off oh what a night. I went to the storm and there was the adjective-worthy Stephanie as a slide attendant and then she hit me with her whistle as she pushed me down the slide that hurt what is going on here? I expect something like that from "I am The Cute One" but her what did I ever do to her? I was able to follow my regular pattern on the storm and I did notice that after she hit me with the whistle she did hold it each and every time so it did not hit me again. I like that. Maybe that is why the lanyards are so short these days. I asked Emily if she was choking with that because it looked so tight.

The stair count up to 3,724 and then I went to the dragon and this was a nightmare of a slide as I went from a slide attendant with big white sunglasses to a lifeguard with big white sunglasses and I don't like big white sunglassess and feel people should not wear them I mean white makes things appear bigger and you may not even need that big a pair of sunglasses to begin with adn the count went to 3,818 and I had to get out of this area. I went on my favorite ride of thema all whitewater and there was no line at all and that was good. The stair count went to 3,862 and then there was a rest before the final try to get to 4,000 stairs and I went around the Lazy River and I saw James don't you think I should see him more? Oh and that lovely lady who worked all day and night but at the wave pool so it could not be as nice for me as last year but at least I got to see her today you know her I might like her and I delivered the tootsie Pops and after waiting 6 years for this day knowing it won't come again for 11 years why not finish it off at what didn't even exist 6 years ago and slide I feud with the red bowl slide. I wonder what things will be like in 11 years.

I took "The HIKE" and I made it to the new part and Lindsey and Chris were over there and Lindsey was trapped on this side waiting for Kelly to rescue her she likes the old side better there actually is much more to do over there. I explained about these big white sunglasses and how they are really not necessary and in fact disturbing. Lindsey had some big glasses but at least they were not white so I was ok with that and she wanted to know how I would feel about big hot pink sunglasses and since I had not seen any like that I could not really comment and then she admitted she had a pair and I could not do anything but feel sorry for her. Hopefully she will not wear those to the park because I might be disturbed by that although this Lindsey was really in a good mood and swinging back in forth I was even tempted to start dancing as well but that isn't going to happen.

I went on the red bowl slide 3 times and the count went to 4,084 so making my record now 7-2 in the 4,000 stairs on the 4th of July. It makes 45,536 climbed this season leaving me 54,464 away from the 100,000 stair goal.Stephanie was nice enough to tell me that I got burnt before she hit me with that whistle but that is what happens when you have light skin even with SPF 70 protection so I will be away for 3 days returning on Saturday July 8 when hopefully my summer of discontent can come to an end and I can be at Indiana's Premiere Waterpark Deep River Waterpark more often and you to can why not start by coming out today. I'm sure you don't want to go to work anyway. Get out to Deep River Waterpark today and eventually I'll see you there.

Saturday July 8, 2006

On Wednesday evening I went and saw the Tranzact Softball Squad play and when I arrived it was the 4th inning and while I was there not even a single runner got to first base and only one ball got hit out of the outfield. The best thing about this game was the hat worn by the person playing 3rd base for Tranzact. It is the only game that I actually saw played with an umpire and it went very quickly. What did not go quickly was the long 3 days I spent away from Deep River Waterpark as not many days so far have turned orange in July and that is a disappointment. We will see what we can do that when I present "Say Goodbye to July" and arrangements are being made so that I can be at the park alot for that event.

Today it was 10:33 and 79 degrees when I finally returned and this was a day that I did not have it as for some reason I think working to much I am very tired and have spent very little time at my own home the past few weeks. I started the day at the cyclone then the abyss and the lines had already formed so it was slow going. I then went and rode the dragon curved slide and then the steep slide 2x and the stair count went up to 410. It was then to the vortex and then the abyss and the stair count went to 538 and at least today there would not be "Chaos At the Cage" as there always was an attendant on duty. I like that.

Usually I have more energy but not today so I went and took "THE HIKE" over to the action river and around it I then went back to the storm and whats this Lindsey is now working at the cage has the world gone topsy turvy? I rode the abyss 2x the stair count went up to 666 and then the vortex and that took a very long time to get up but that was ok because today I needed the rest anyway. The count went up to 730 and back to the abyss the stair climbers best friend which is where I spent most of the time today but when the vortex looked short like 2 flights down I went over there and then the count went up to 1,050 and I went back around the action river and then "THE LAST RIDE" was the slide that was good to me today the abyss and the count went to 1,114 and I stuck that landing good. The count for the year goes to 46,650 leaving 53,350 stairs left to climb to reach 100,000 stairs but as things heat up it gets a lot harder as the crowds come out. It took until 1:32 and the temperature was 81 degrees when I left.

I have been looking for individual Rold Gold Pretzels normally sold for 25 cents or like 22 cents at Walmart they are nice and tiny in fact they call them tiny twists but for nearly a month I have not been able to find them proving that things I like just become difficult to find. Once I left the park I broke down even drove the car to the store and despite the fact I don't need 12 ounces of pretzels I bought them. They were not as good but at least "The Enchanting Nicole" waited on me and boy did that make me happy and she made sure my items were put in a paper bag that really made my day. You can make your day by coming out to Indiana's Premiere Waterpark Deep River Waterpark of course. It is open daily from 10 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and on Tuesdays through August 15 from 10 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. so pick a day or why not several days and come on out. I'll see you there.

Sunday July 9, 2006

It was 10:13 and 79 degrees when I returned to Deep River Waterpark for Day #2 in a row but can we make it three we will have to wait and see. At the gate I could not believe my eyes and my heart even fluttered as out of the office she came the currently highest ranked Deep River Waterpark person to be Mark T's 2007 Valentine Contenders and I even had my glasses on and she came right by we nearly touched and she knew my name as she said "Mark T your the man" and looking at Kristen and hearing her speak it was a pleasure overload happening and right at the beginning of the day how could it get any better maybe I should just turn around and go home now because seeing Kristen makes me so happy. I did not turn around but it took me awhile to catch my breath as she took it away

Finally I caught my breath and felt maybe I should sit down while thinking of what just happened kept a smile on my face. I started the day then by taking "THE HIKE" over to the bowl slides. If you want to ride them you have to come early or wait for a very long time. I alternated between red and yellow riding red 3 and yellow 2 and the stair count went to 370. I learned a slide attendants name on the yellow bowl slide she was Jazzie and she never knew my name. A lot of people know my name so I am always surprised when someone doesn't but that is good. I forget many names and then I feel bad but I think I can remember Jazzie. Around the river I would go and then I got to the dragon and I went down the steep slide and at the bottom was Rachel and I see the lifeguards that work that spot alot and Rachel did agree that it was hot today. I then went over to the storm and oh no say it ain't so they have 3 slides 2 slide attendant's and a big crowd. I don't like this. Oh pick me oh oh oh I can run the abyss even from 10 until 1:00 and then I could be done but it seems they need help and I have a dream to be a slide attendant. I went on the vortex and then the abyss and then I went over and snuck in my favorite ride of them all whitewater putting the stair count up to 636.

I then went on the curved slide of the dragon 2x pushing the count up to 824 and then I took "The HIKE" over to the red bowl slide and for the first time since it got moved over there I actually saw people playing Water Wars. Water Wars is a game that requires at least 2 players but can be played with 4. You fire balloons filled with water at your opponent in the hopes of getting them wet. It is $1.00 for a bucket of balloons and a bucket has 8 balloons in it. Once a few years ago the attendant on duty let me play her so it is actually fun to play and you can find it when taking "THE HIKE"

I went on the red bowl slide 2x and Lucy remember her she probably won't remember my name so I'll try and remember he name. She is always friendly. I like that was the slide attendant and she even waited for me to come back the 2nd time. The 2nd time I started in line just below the first flight of stairs on the landing but but the time I got to the slide the line went down all the way to the ground how quicikly it builds.

I went around the river and then I went and rode the storm and as I was walking that way it must have been 1:00 because I saw a sea of blue coming at me. I rode on the cyclone the abyss, cyclone and abyss and the stair count went up to 1,228 and then I went on the curved slide of the dragon making the count 1,322 and then back to the cyclone. The count went up to 1,386 and then once again I took "THE HIKE" and around the action river I would go and Rachel would agree that it was hot today. I was lucky enough to see the adjective worthy Stephanie and the first time around she was drinking some lemonade. Then the 2nd time around she was pretend drinking out of the cup but she claimed that there was "stuff" in the cup and she showed it to me but my vision is impaired without my spectacles if I have to see far away and I did not see a thing. She asked why she would pretend to drink out of a cup? I think that is the pure genius of it since no one would suspect it. Finally, on the 3rd time around she did not drink out of the cup and I felt much better so I exited the river.

It was time for "THE LAST RIDE" and today that was my favorite storm slide the cyclone and up I went and the stair count went to 1,450 and 48,100 for the year but that means not even half way there as 51,900 stairs remain. This week I should make it to the half way point. Tomorrow I try for the trifecta and if I can get Monday in then maybe I can reach the holy grail of 5 days in a row. Summer is here but before you know it summer will be gone. Hey I even had a pleasure overlad at the park today so just imagine what could happen to you. Don't say I wish I would have gotten to Indiana's Premiere Waterpark Deep River Waterpark of course come on out today. I'll see you there.

Monday July 10, 2006

If you could find Jim Moody, Delydia Smith or Donna Henry they would tell you the secret to keeping Mark T happy is making sure that he gets to Deep River Waterpark on a regular basis. They were my coworkers at Citibank "The World's Only Superbank" and they understood. This summer quickly had the makings of my summer of discontent as I have not been able to put days back to back to back. The trifecta had only been reached 2 times prior today but today all my troubles were washed away as for the 3rd day in a row I returned to Indiana's Premiere Waterpark Deep River Waterpark of course. It was the first Monday I have been able to make in over a month. It was 4:10 and 73 degrees when I returned today so there was not much time to play.

Today as yesterday began with a pleasure overload as at the group sales gate in a pink hoodie and she was wearing glasses I absoultely love that was Kristen you might know by now that I like her and when I see her i know the day is going to be great but there is only one chance every day. I showed my pass at the season pass entrance and the people actually in the office seem completely dumbfounded so I let myself in. This was a change from in the morning when they like to check my bag every day which contains a towel 2 swimsuits, 2 broken pedometers that I keep meaning to give away so they can be worn as flair, Hawaiian Tropic Ozone Blocker SPF 70, a small bottle of pert plus travels size and depending on the day Tootsie Pops. It is the same every day and I am entertained by the checking of the bag but the best is when I have my hand stamped and return and they check it again. I don't think Kristen saw me but thats ok what would I say anway I'd be all like nervous and stuff.

Today to start of the day since I didn't have long to stay was "THE SHOW" where I ride the dragon at least 8x in a row and today just for fun and to make sure my 1,000 stair game was won I climbed it 12x in a row and each time I rode the curved slide pushing the stair count within 40 minutes up to 1,128. Now today it was ideal stair climbing weather and by the time I arrived there were not all that many people left in the park so I was able to sneak in my favorite ride whitewater and it seemed this is where all the slide attendants had gone because many were there. At the top this slide attendant was tired because she spent a week at cheerleading camp. I hope that was not in tents because that was awful once when I was in the boyscouts we had wilderness survival and we could put all the stuff in a pencil case and use it and it was not fun sleeping in garbage bag that had to be a tent. You won't find me camping in any tents. I have a house with a bed and I like it. The stair count went to 1,172 and then there was still time in fact I could take "The HIKE"

I took it and I arrived at the new side of the park and up the stairs to the yellow bowl slide I would go and there she was the perkiest slide attendant of them all and she let me where her sunglasses down the bowl slide as it was not sunny at this point in time and it was absolutely fabulous. I saw Rachel at the action river I think she went to cheer camp a year or so ago. She liked the stylish glasses and she was removing tubes from the river thats the sign that it is time to go. I had to get the sunglasses back to the slide attendant and hey look who gets "THE LAST RIDE" again it is the perkiest slide attendant of them all and now the sun had popped through the clouds so she needed the glasses back and on they went and down I went. The stair count goes to 49,420 and leaves 50,580 to go so I should reach the half way point tomorrow night.

Things had not been right in my world. I had to have big pretzels instead of tiny twists, I accidentally picked up choclate chip pecan famous amos cookies when I only like chocolate chip, and the other day the store near my house had no King's Hawaiian orignal sweet rolls only some new flavor called savory butter and they also were not as good. This is what happens when I don't get to Deep River Waterpark often enough but tonight "The Enchanting Nicole" sold me the Hawaiaan sweet rolls original. I actually got Famous Amos Chocolate Chip Cookies and I had a pleasure overload seeing Kristen so now all is right with the world.

All can be right in your world if you come on out to Deep River Waterpark. I return tomorrow for Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop Tubin Toooooooooooooooooosday and then again on Wednesday it's time to play my favorite game "Let's Pretend The Day Didn't end" when I come right back on Wednesday morning. I haven't played that in 2 weeks and if I get to play that it will put 5 days in a row see I knew when I saw Kristen things were going to be great. Don't forget its the best deal at Deep River Park come after 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday and stay until 9:30 for only $8.00 yes that's right only 8 dollars but you only have 6 more chances this year so don't let this opportunity pass you by come on out to Deep River Waterpark on Tuesday night if you can't make it then come on out some other day or how about Tuesday night and then another day. I'll see you there.

Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop Tubin Toooooooooooosday July 11, 2006

Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop Tubin Toooooooooosday's are rare events only 10 all year if all goes well and after tonight 5 have come and only 5 remain. Some nights are memorable some are not. The ones that usually are the best are when I don't have to go to work the next day and I get to play "Let's Pretend The Day Didn't End" where I am at the park all night and then return the very next morning. For the first time since the Memorial Day 5000 on opening weekend I got to Deep River Waterpark 4 days in a row and that is great. This will go down in Deep River Waterpark lore as one of the best nights ever. Boy was in fun and there was everything it was cold, there were sprinkles, there was a down pour. It was light it was dark. People came and people went and there was even a lobster sighting.

My day began at 5:32 with the temperature 73 degrees and I walked to the season passes but there was no Kristen Trifecta as she was not there today could you imagine how great that would have been I doubt that ever happened. In fact there was no one to be found at this gate so I let myself in. I began the day by taking "THE HIKE" and it is a very lonely walk over to the bowl slides but today I was joined by Rachel who was going home for some family time which I did not understand because she is an only child. She claimed that she was blowing her whistle at me when I entered the park but I was not on a slide or anything so I would be oblivious to whistle blowing. Oh wait she did not get a tootsie pop but whe I play "Let's Pretend The Day Didn't End" any left over Tootsie Pops can be given away on Wednesday before they make their way to Tranzact Technologies "The World Wide Leader in Freight Payment" which is where I work on Thursday. If I see Rachel tomorrow I will remember that her favorite is chocolate and some of them are still left all the rasberry are gone and there were no green ones in this bag. I finally made it to the bowl slides and I started off with red because I have issues with that slide me and you red and then I went on the yellow slide 4x and the skies were grey and the stair count went to 370. My forecast said there was an opening between 5:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m. and then to expect a thunderstorm so it might be limited time tonight.

As I took "The Hike" back I actually ran out of breath so I had to jump in the lazy river to get some rest and around I went from the mushrooms all the way to the entrance so maybe not even half way and then not knowing when the rain would come and the last time I ever lost the 1,000 stairs climbed a day game was because of rain could this be it. That means its time for "The Show" where I ride the dragon 8 or more times in a row. This had to be my lucky night because at the bottom of the dragon was go ahead guess guess I dare to you guess you give up? It was and since I know her and like her I could ride the slide without getting the infamous dragon bites. You can tell most folks that ride the steep slide just look at their back for the dragon bites. I started at the curved slide and alternated with the steep slide.

The claimed to be at the park a lot even though this may be like the 5th or 6th time I have seen her all year and this was my 26th time at the park. You know what they say absence makes the heart grow fonder. She apparently as been at wave pool but I don't go over there so I can not verify if she was there or not but apparently "The Sensational Sasha" can but I don't think I am going to ask about that. I learned that saw like 3 fireworks on the 4th of July and this apparently made her sad there will be fireworks at the Porter County Fair and then Lake County Fair if she wants to see some. I did not see any where I am from Dyer Indiana one of the top 100 towns to live in the United States at number 98 according to Money Magazine we can't compete with 4th of July so we have Freedom Fest and the Mad Bomber who is a native of Dyer Indiana puts on a display prior to the 4th of July I believe it was in June. I did not like Freedom Fest as much this year probably because it was not at Northgate Park which I like to walk too and except to go to the Waterpark I try to stay on the North Side of US30 and the park it was at this year was on the South Side of 30

I also heard that a pothole made her mirror fly through the window of her car and she spent 3 hours having the window replaced and it cost like $100.00. I did explain that they would come and do that at your house or even where you work. When my windshield on my mazda cracked I had them come to my house. There were no refreshments at this place and it took from noon until 3 and then she encouraged me to be a slide attendant on the weekends at night since I am at the park anyway and Dustin has a big boy job and he works there at night he was even there tonight and I got to see his 12 year pin. She told me it was a very small application that she was sure that I could fill out and they need help but isn't it better to be the impossible dream? Maybe they have the application on line oh my that would really tempting. Just stop. You know there are Portillos coming to Merrillville in 2006 and Scherrerville in 2007 and I want to be the person that calls the numbers for people to get there food should I do this too. Well with that encouragement lets see what happens as tonight I would practice being a slide attendant.

The got rotated and she ran to her next spot. I like that. She claims to have naturually curly hair and one day she will wear it that way and I won't even recognize her now I doubt that is possible but we shall see. I finally made it up for time number 10 on the dragon and the slide attendant whose name I would later learn is Amanda told me that I could die after riding the slide. I don't know that I will be alive by the time the next Tubin Tuesday comes on the 4th of July which is in 11 years on Tuesday July 4, 2017 and then Dustin will only be 2 years shy of his 25 year pin and that will be something to see. I did make it up the stairs of the dragon for time number 11 to deliver a tootsie pop to her and thats a bit but I was riding the dragon anyway and the stair count went to 1404. I then went and rode the abyss, cyclone and then the cyclone again and then I took some time to go on my favorite ride of them all whitewater and same girl from yesterday who was tired now she is cold and wet and I told her to stop complaining. I think there is a song "Always Look on The Bright Side of Life" and that is what she needs to do.

The stair count went to 1640 I then once again took "The HIKE" and now it was raining and the rain was coming down faster and faster and I went down the red bowl slide twice and then I went and got a tootsie pop for and here is something I had not tried before I had a tootsie pop in my mouth while holding the one I was about to deliver. It was so great and then I had told the slide attendants I would deliver them tootsie Pops so around I went and got more tootsie pops and took them up the slide I learned of Amanda and Jenna

I learned that Jenna's Birthday is July 27 when she will be 18 and I obtained the Birthday List Tickets to see The Chicago Fire play at the new Toyota Park in Bridgeview Illinois, Her dad should take her to a Chicago White Sox game and tickets to Wicked. The party is on July 29 and it will be going well into the night and at the top of this bowl slide I would stay for a long time tonight to see if I could make it through a whole rotation and see I even carried my bag with me on "THE HIKE" over and Jenna left and up came the perkiest slide attendant of them all and I learned her name is Laura and she had just seen a lobster over at the storm and she wanted to pick it up and bring it over but Lucy warned her about salmonela so she did not bring it over and I heard that Lucy nudged it with her sandal. It apparently craweld away into the grass. Jenna went to the top of whitewater although you could not tell what this card said has it had been raining all night and it had no protective covering it was just wet paper in several pieces.

Laura does not eat seafood but she is ok with eating meat and for like 5 minutes thought about not eating in after going to something called I think Warped Tour where she got a DVD that she had to take because it was free and then she took it home and stuck in the player and the title of this dvd which is exactly what I was told was "Meet Your Meat" and after watching that she had a pepporoni pizza and never looked back. I only like cheese pizza but I am ok with eating meat. I like most things plain. Laura said that her sunglasses were still in her bag in the breakroom so I could not wear them down the slide but Amanda told me that she could get me some Deep River Waterpark sunglasses and that would be great. Her boyfriend is Justin I might know him isn't he suppose to wear that green hat so I can recognize him? He was not there tonight. and she was down somewhere at the action river only person other than me with there own logo and if I took the time to make that for her I really have to like her. The best night last season when I was at the St Marys buyout and she was working at the bottom of the kiddie area and I spent most of the night near her that was the best Saturday night I have had in my whole life. Then her friend who I should not be afraid of and I got the to say it Christina "I am The Cute One" the only person that terrifies me but boy is she nice to look at. 10-15% of my nightmares involve her so I guess you might say she is the woman of my dreams. These slide attendants did not feel that she was scary and found my nightmare of her knocking me out with a beer bottle at the bottom of whitewater and then burying me in sand rather funny and that time I was going in the action river and she was near a hammer that she claimed not to be aware of and I could not get away as she was walking very slowly to catch up to me but you don't move at that one part of action river also seemed funny to them. They will now pay attention to see if her eyebrows raise all the time when she is talking or maybe this is just to me. I have gotten to the point that I am ok if she is sitting down that I am not terrified of her but standing thats another story but maybe by the time this season is done I will have conqured that fear. As I have delved deeper into this I think I am afraid of her because I like her and she is so cute short petite rounded face pierced navel and hair often in ponytail I love that and then something happens that one can not explain.

Then there is Kristen of the Kristen Contigent she works in the office and every day is great when I see her but only one chance none of the water safety team knew her and then Stephanie that does the imaginary drinking out of a cup that is not the adjective for her that is what she does perhaps to drive me crazy. She is adjective worthy but I haven't given her an adjective yet and when she has her ponytail in that has a very nice bounce to it and I love that and now we all know who I have crushes on this summer even though each year I try not to like anyone at all but at least we all know how the storyline must end boy meets girl boys likes girl and if he is Mark T he will not get the girl as I'm simply a sad lonely guy waiting to die and when summer is done that is what will happen. Maybe one of these 4 extremely beautiful ladies will be my 2007 Valentine but we will have to wait and see but as we approach "Say Goodbye To July" it soon will be time to bring the camera out and see who is willing to have their picture on this site.

While Laura was at the slide I still never made it down and she left and at this point the card was no more and I was on my third slide attendant at this slide although Amanda was still there and this guy broke the streak of every slide attendant ending with an A there was Amanda, Jenna and then Laura and now his name was Zack and finally after I think an hour and a half I made my way down the red bowl slide and we've got trouble as I was not standing up during this whole time I was sitting in a tube and you know me and the red bowl slide we are warriors taking on one another well from waiting so long my landing leg my right leg cramped up and like the first spin around I felt it and was oh no I am going to be incapacitated for a bit as I have to shake this off. Sometimes it happens when I wake up. See I could be a slide attendant as I could stay at the top of the slide that long.

The stair count was 2,010 for tonight and 2,000 in just the night that is fine especially since I wasn't even climbing stairs for over an hour and as long as I got the 1,000 in that was fine with me since I was having a grand old time and I learned many names of people seen all summer if I remember them that is a different story but for tonight I knew them all. I made my way over to the storm and so that I could continue to practice being a slide attendant I took the bag with me and now Laura was over there and she had her bag with her and I was going to wear her sunglasses at night on all 3 storm slides how about that but after digging through her bag they were not in there she guessed they were in her car and there I met Kristen and then Genna not the Jenna from before this will be Genna with a G and this is very confusing and now that I am about the only person on the storm there were 3 slide attendants. I went on the vortex, abyss, cyclone where the sign still was not new and now it was eskew and I asked Genna to straighten it and she tried but there was nothing she could do and then even thoug the sign was not straight I went down the cyclone again and then could it be "THE LAST RIDE" to the perkiest slide attendant of them all who was sorry about my wait which was maybe a minute and I was at the top of one slide an hour and a half whats my hurry now I went down the abyss and the count went to 2,330 but the night did not end there.

I said I would go to the top of whitewater and it is my favorite ride and now we are back to Jenna from the start and there were 15 minutes until rides closed so it was 9:00 p.m. Jenna plays soccer she is a goalie I love soccer and she said I could come to one of her games and I don't think that would be wise on my part even though I am sure I would enjoy it. When I was younger I played soccer and sometimes they threw me into the goal where I probably did not stop much but I did learn to dive alot so it looked like I was doing something. I was a better defender cause I could kick ball out of there and if I could find a league for old men in Northwest Indiana I would play and remember last year Barbie she was a slide attendant and her dad played in such a league and she was going to get me the information but that never happened. I don't think it is a good idea for me to go alone to see a girls high school soccer game and then maybe I could sit next to her boyfriend who makes rap music. Jenna sings but not rap I think it was Somewhere over the rainbow that she sang a few lines too but she had never heard of Gary Indiana. Remember last year when they had those singers that went around the park and sometimes they just sat around the river singing they should bring them back now that was entertainment.

I learned that Jenna was the oldest of 6 children so that means she must set the way for everything and at the top of whitewater I would stay and I didn't care as this was to be "THE LAST RIDE" and maybe with 2 minutes until the ride closed I was sent down and that landing was not good so the lifeguard told me to try again but it was late and I could not make it but she said I could if I ran and that was going to happen so the count for tonight goes to 2,374 and that makes it more than half way at 51,794 leaving 48,206 to reach the 100,000 stair goal. It was 9:29 and 73 degrees when I left the park and if all goes well weather permitting I return in 12 hours and 31 minutes for "Let's Pretend the Day Didn't End" where it will be just like staying at the park all night. Can I finally reach the Holy Grail and make it 5 days in a row this season and what adventures await. Its so long to be away but by the time I got home after stopping at Rancho Grande Tacos and Burritos to pick up dinner there are less than 12 hours until I return. 5 Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop Tubin Tooooooooooooooooosdays have come only 5 remain that means theres not much left to summer so you best come on out to Deep River Waterpark right now. I'll see you there.

Wednesday July 12, 2006

It took 12 hours and 36 minutes for me to return to Deep River Waterpark after last night and with open tolling on an average week my commute back and forth to work is longer than that. Finally for the first time all season I got to the park 5 days in a row and that is how the calendar should look. All is right in the world. It was the first time in 2 weeks that I had been at the park on a Wednesday and today we got to play "Let's Pretend The day Didn't End" but many people from yesterday were nowhere to be found but thank goodness for the Hardcore like Emily.

I started the day by taking "The HIKE" and today the adjective worthy Stephanie had a cup which she claimed had orange juice in it and there was even a straw in it. She sure is pretty and certainly deserves an adjective. I warned her that we are observing the fake drinking and she told me to let her know how those observations go. At this point of the day I was a mess as water was in both my ears I can't hear well anyway and I was at a current and unable to get situated but I still can read lips. I did make it down the action river to the red bowl slide and then I took the rest of the action river and went to the storm where it was vortex, abyss, cyclone and cyclone and then today I took advantage of the fact that is what cloudy and I should know those are the worst days for sun but so much fun. I went on my favorite ride whitewater not just once today but 5 times in a row and it was great and then I went around the Lazy River and for the first time all year I saw Lindsey III aka "The Model" and she said she has been at the park but she tries to always work pool and you don't I don't go there but she has seen me.

It then was time for the easiest thing I do "River to River" from the Lazy river to the action river and that I went around and then I went and I rode the curve slide of the dragon 5x in a row and the stair count went to 1020 and then again I went around the Lazy river before going tot he storm which I rode 5x in a row and so happy that today 3 slide attendants at the top and the count went to 1340 and then there is this rumor that I don't go on body slides even though I have ridden the dragon more than any person living unless you can prove otherwise and that is a body slide. Just to make sure people don't forget I went on the closed and the open and then I went on whitewater my favorite slide with favorite slide attendant how about that. Danielle was at the top but I think I may have gone to fast once. It is a very peaceful ride.

Then I took "The HIKE" over to the action river and today the lines were not so bad so I alternated between red and yellow and it so happened that Rachel was going to be on break from 1:15-1:45 and then I was to meet her at the bottom of the dragon and at the appointed time I made my way over to the dragon and I was not sure that was her but when I got to the bottom she was there. Her evening last night consisted of dinner in her air conditioned vehicle despite the fact that she was freezing from getting wet all day. Her boyfriend lets call him Nick was hot from working and they ate this dinner behind hotel. Rachel claims that this was not a date nor was the time that she went and watched his septic tank being cleaned out a date. She then went home and watched a movie with her mom apparently Nick was not there it was called Million Dollar Baby and for dinner Rachel's mom had some popcorn which Rachel ate some of and her mother wanted to know if she was going to eat all her dinner. This poor lady. Eventually someone came to rotate Rachel and she took the towel that had been left at the stand with her.

Now I would walk with Rachel from the bottom of the dragon to the Action river as I am very familiar with this rotation see this lifeguard alot normally Justine and as we passed the wave pool she pointed out that I like that girl. I don't know that everyone needs to know who I like but it was the and so today I verified that she was indeed in the park and while I could see she was there not all that well because I wasn't wearing glasses I still wasn't going over there. Rachel wanted to know her adjective but she can not have one because I do not have a crush on her so she should be happy being just Rachel and on the way she introduced me to the lead Stephen I have seen him around alot and well I just wave to anyone that waves at me and wonder who is this. Earlier he had some future lifeguards with him and I told him he could put them to work now no need to wait. There was a chair open with no waiting at the action river all day. I am tempted just to sit in it for awhile. We made it to where Rachel was going and I went and got some tootsie pops which were on the other side of the park and that towel was Sam's so it was a good thing she brought it over for him.

When I returned Rachel told me of this guy who wanted her number and she had this plan to give him her boyfriends number. Now if only we could warn Nick as not everybody can just start talking about anything but he was at work so there seemed no way and eventually this guy came around again and he was like Melissa and she was no Rachel and then she was using her hands to give him this telephone number and he was like Hey Rach so you want to go to dinner or something and she told him to call first. Luckily I can easily keep a straight face but I was laughing on the inside at all of this and then she told me to go back where I met that Stephen and tell him to come over and pretend to be her boyfriend which some people might find an odd request but Rachel I learned can't say no so she will work for anyone so why should I say no. This is not something that happened before but I did not find it an odd request at all. I walked around and I had to go a little further but I found him with "The Sensational Sasha" and I told him exactly what she told me to tell him. He pointed out the guy and told me he had been asking guards for their numbers. He had his eye on him it would be funny to see what he would say it was funny to watch. I made my way around the river and Emily was right back where she started which means I had been at the park to long but she said no such thing and of course I am going to agree and then Rachel gave me an air high five because I did what she told me to do.

I then went to the storm with the sole purpose of making 2024 stairs even and that would only be 4 slides it was the vortex, and then the abyss and Justine was at the bottom so I could practice landings and some they weren't so good as I ended up face first in the water but others were right on. I had to get it right though so I kept going and going and before I knew it I had ridden the abyss 8 more times and the stair count went up to 2,600 but still I couldn't stop and I might even have been tired so I went on the vortex because that is a very easy slide to ride and I can get rest there plus Danielle was there and I like that. I rode it 2x and then got some tootsie pops. Dannielle said she liked orange so that was good. I then went back to practicing landings like 3 more times and actually got winded boy do I fly down that abyss.

I still couldn't stop because now I could get to over 3,000. I did learn that Danielle is 17 I would have guessed 15 and only cause she is working and she said some people have guessed 12 when she was at the play structure. She has 4 I think sister and one brother he is 21 and she has had 1.5 elephant ears this summer because she ate half her brothers. The poor guy. I have had one and that was at St. Thomas Moore Fest. She can actually drive and even has a car it is a stick shift. One of my cars is a stick and it is fun to drive although sometimes when you are in traffic for an hour and 45 minutes to go 44 miles it is better to have an automatic so I have one of those too. Yesterday she saw Pirates which she said was "Cute" and I told her babies are cute Christina is cute but how can you say a movie is cute. It was not all blood and guts she said there were cute parts so that was a lot and Rachel also said that Danielle was very good as a slide attendant. Finally at 3,176 stairs everything would be even Danielle is my favorite slide attendant it was time to stop but the count for the year goes up to 54,970 and its a good thing I didn't know that while I was riding the slides or I would have had to go on just one more ride. It was 4:32 and 73 degrees when I left and I could feel the burn on these cloudy days but I sure had fun today. I have to take a couple days off but on Saturday I return maybe for 5 more in a row and I think the camera may just come out and then its coming starting Saturday July 22 PRESENTS featuring (BEST LIFEGUARD AND SLIDE ATTENDANT THINGS ACCORDING TO YOUR HOST). I can't stand Christmas so this is Christmas to me and who do you think will win without any of last years Lifeguards of the Year back to contend. We shall see and I think I'm going to half to learn more names by then. I'll see what I can do but here is what you can do come on out to Deep River Waterpark today before this season says goodbye. I'll see you there.

Saturday July 15, 2006

Heat is a stair climbers nightmare. Speaking of nightmares last night I had a nightmare that "I am The Cute One" jumped on my back and for some reason was trying to choke me. At last that was only a dream and did not happen in real life. It is so Hot these days and it was 10:01 a.m. and 86 degrees when I returned to Indiana's Premiere Waterpark Deep River Waterpark of course after 2 long days away and with the heat would this be the first time in 4 years or 172 attempts that I would not be able to climb 1,000 stairs in one day?

The day started off great because opening the gate for Group Sales with that dolphin keychain that I'd like to have was the girl I hope to see every day before I start into the park. Today her hair was curly. I abolutely love that and I so like her but I only get that one chance to see her. She is so good looking and she is Krisen and then I could have her image in my mind as I went to play today. I started at the storm riding the vortex, abyss, and cyclone and the stair count went to 192 and it took awhile to do this. At least they put someone in the cage in an effort to prevent Chaos at the Cage.

I went over to the dragon and with this heat the air was very heavy and in fact I had some difficulty breathing and realized that "THE SHOW" where I ride the dragon at least 8x in a row was unavailable today. I did manage to ride the curved slide 6x in a row and by the time I was done the line went down to the second flight of stairs. I then went over to my friend especially on days like this the abyss and usually at the slide itself there was no waiting. There was some waiting for a tube but since it was not in Chaos I was ok with that and I rode the abyss 7x in a row. The stair count went to 1,204 and I win again for the 173 time in a row. Can you believe in 4 years I have only been to the park 173 times. How many times have you been there and why not make it at least one more today?

I took "THE HIKE" over to the Action river and noticed the red bowl slide was not open today. This made the line to the yellow bowl slide go past the stairs and then it even wrapped around. I went around the action river and at the island I got stuck but it was in the shade so that was ok. When I thought I got unstuck I would end up going the wrong way. I was there for awhile. I wonder how long. Eventually someone bumped me on and around I went again and I saw Rachel and today her mother was at the park but I did not get to meet her. I have met the mother's of other lifeguards which is always interesting to me. I did not get stuck this time because I ended up in a group of people. The only time I actually felt cool today was when I was going under the waterfall right near the island.

Then I took "THE HIKE" back and what is this in a circle people standing including Joe Parker doesn't everyone love him and as I told everyone today it's so hot but even though we all love Joe there was someone in this circle that I couldn't believe my eyes and my luck out of the office there in the circle in plain view to see how extremely beautiful she is there was Kristen with the curly hair and talk about your pleasure overload. Seeing her twice in one day that is so great the only thing that could be better is if she takes me up on my standing offer to take her to lunch sometime. Of course she probably doesn't know about that standing offer because I'm to shy to ask her so I probably won't get taken up on it but it is out there. Just like "The Enchanting Nicole" probably doesn't know that she has a standing offer to come and play air hockey at my house but I do intend to win but since she doesn't know about it I don't expect to be taken up on it. If I was going to die of heatstroke this would have been a great time because a smile would be on my face. How I like Kristen so much.

With joy and my heart a flutter I don't know how she does that but I feel it flutter when I see Kristen I went to my favorite ride whitewater which would also happen to be the "LAST RIDE" when I got in line there was no wait for tubes but when I was done there was and people continued to pour into the park. It was 12:06 and 91 degrees when I lef the park. The stair count was 1,248 for the day and makes 56,218 for the year leaving me 43,782 away from the first ever 100,000 back to back seasons but days like this will make it hard. I lectored tonight at 4:00 p.m. so I got the church covered so I can be right back tomorrow at 10 a.m. when the park opens or might I just declare it to Hot. We will have to wait and see but it can't be to hot for you so come on out and cool off at Indiana's Premiere Waterpark Deep River Waterpark of course. I'll see you there.

Saturday July 16, 2006

This morning I was tempted to declare it to hot to go to a waterpark but the one thing that I know about a Sunday crowd is that it is late arriving because many people go to church first. When I arrived at 10:05 a.m. it was already 88 degrees and even though it was Sunday there was a very large crowd on hand today. The crowd would only get bigger. I started off the day at the dragon and I rode the curved slide 4x in a row and for the second day in a row "THE SHOW" where I ride the dragon at least 8x in a row was unavailble do to how heavy the air was. I can walk up the stairs of the dragon quite a bit without being winded but not with the heat today. Normally when playing the 1,000 stair game I start at the storm and try to reduce the number of times I have to climb up the dragon to win. Today it was the opposite. The stair count was 376 and then I went to the stair climbers best friend and there was Brittany at least she was happy today. I like that more people should be happy.

To win today I would have to climb up the storm 10x and today I would only go on one storm slide and that would be the abyss and a few times I even was still in stride to get in the splash pool it was so great and I made it on the abyss 10x in a row and quickly the stair count went 1,016 and that took about 45 minutes to make sure I kept my record in tact. I then went on the dragon curved slide because I like to have things even so the count went 1,100. Then I took "THE HIKE" and boy was that hot and lonley today and I went around the Action river and both bowl slides were open today so the line on each was only down to the second flight of stairs at this point in time which was not so bad so I got in the line to yellow bowl slide. Up there was the perkiest slide attendant of them all but today not so perky as those poor slide attendants were being fried at the top of these bowl slides. There was no umbrella shade or covering for them just in the heat and the wood was so hot it would burn your feet if it wasn't wet. The stair count went to 1,184 and around the Action River I went and once again I got stuck right at the island and was there for awhile.

Each time I thought I was moving I ended up going backwards but at least I got to observe 1 of the candidates for the 2006 Female Rookie Lifeguard of the Year award but I could not remember her name and usually I call her girl with Shrek Towel but today she was not wearing that towel. She did have her hair in pigtails. I like that. She was very busy blowing the whistle at all sort of things yet I still could not get off the island back and forth I went sometimes in a circle. Eventually somebody came by and pushed me far enough and there was a cheer from the crowd. Then I could not believe my eyes but there was an opening at the storm at the abyss and there still were single tubes. Today it finally paid off to come alone because lots of single tubes available but long wait for doubles. I went up the stairs of the abyss and there once again was the perkiest slide attendant of them all who still had not regained her perk but at least was now under a covering so there was shade and she was not being fried to crisp.

I decided that I would ride the abyss either until I got tired or until I had to wait in line for a tube. I saw one slide attendant go and then another one come and boy was this group of Becky and Brittney fun helping the very hot guests by pooring water on them. In all I rode the abyss 7x in a row before the line formed for tubes and the stair count was 1,632 making it 57,850 and leaving me 42,150 stairs away from the 100,000 stair goal. The heat wave continues tomorrow so I will probably declare it to Hot because I can't be at the park until later in the day but if you can spend all day it is the place to be as it opens at 10 a.m. and remains open until 6:00 p.m. Be sure to keep hydrated and have fun at Indiana's Premiere Waterpark Deep River Waterpark of course. I'll see you there.

Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop Tubin Toooooooooooosday July 18, 2006

Today is my Dad's Birthday and he along with my mother were at Deep River Waterpark for family fun. It was the best I could conjure up for his birthday as both my sister's were absent this evening. This evening was week 6 of 10 for Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop Tubin Toooooooooooooooooosday and many people took advantage of the best deal in the park when I Tuesday you can get in for only $8.00 after 5:00 p.m. and stay until it closes at 9:30 p.m. I arrived at the park around 6:00 p.m. and today I didn't have to let myself in as at season passes it was "The Sensational Sasha" that was scanning me in today. I made my way to the storm and there was "CHAOS AT THE CAGE" and the guy that was working there said "Please form 2 lines outside of the cage" and only a few people could hear him as he did not have a whistle to get anyones attention. That wasn't going to work but he said he was just a fill in and eventually the night slipped away and he was there all night long.

I rode the abyss 5x and the vortex once. The count slowly went up as there were a lot of people and at the end down to long lines and 2 slide attendants. I then found my parents in the old lazy river which was not getting a lot of action tonight so if you wanted to be in the water there you could be. I like Turkey Store Honey Turkey. Unfortunately they do not sell it at Walt's I have tried the Grandma Cooper's Honey turkery there and Grandma wouldn't be able to work at the Turkery Store so normally have to go to the Strack and Van Til. This was the party my dad was sad that this was it. Tomorrow my sisters and I will play the home version of "LET'S PRETEND THE DAY DIDN'T END" as we celebrate his birthday then. At 2:00 p.m. my parents will be seeing Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Shine Up at the Munster Theater for the Performing Arts. The cake now has made it out of the oven ready for the finishing touches tomorrow morning. This took some time up and put me out of slide commission for awhile.

I took a walk around the park. I saw Stephanie that was nice and I even had the glasses on so I could really see her. I then roamed Paddle with Jenna. She had her hair in braided pigtails today. That is my favorite. She was hungry but had a long while before she could eat because the rides close at 9:15 and the park itself closes at 9:30. Her hair would be curly later but she would not be letting her boyfriend run his fingers through it like a rake in sand. Eventually it appeared that the lines for slides were diminishing so I went over to the storm and still at the Abyss was Lucy can you believe this? I got the vortex in there once 2 and I rode 5 storm slides and the count went to 704 and was it time to throw in the towel had I finally for the first time in 4 years been beat at my own 1,000 stair game?

Not just yet because I went to the dragon and pointed out some dragon bites as some people remembered me from that slide not last week but 2 weeks ago. I met Matt not that I haven't seen him before but I never knew his name. He is in the running for the Male Slide Attendant of the Year which is proving a very tough competition this year as I have a few but I actually now know his name so that gives him an edge since I don't like to just name people by description. I rode the curved slide of the dragon 1 = 798 2 =892 3= 986 and then 4 for 1,080 stairs to keep my 1,000 stair climbed streak in tact.

Next I saw that my favorite slide had little to no waiting and so up the stairs of whitewater I went and at the top and no I did not remember him hold on give me a clue last week ok it was Zack remember I was at the top of the red bowl slide which I didn't even get to tonight for 3 slide attendants and then Zack finally pushed me down. Now I remember. I went down the slide once and I told him I would be right back. Now it seems on Tuesdays I get sucked into the top of slides and Amanda wasn't even there tonight. The announcement came that there were 15 minutes until the rides were closing. You know they have this thing where they train younger people to be lifeguards and then they might become lifeguards. Today I shadowed Zack at the top of whitewater for the last 15 minutes. It sure was fun. I told the people how to get in the water how to sit on the tube and the rules of the ride. Many people enjoyed talking tonight. I did not move up to pushing anyone just yet but see I can be a slide attendant. Wait the summer is fleetign away so maybe that desire will go away but it sure was fun tonight. Maybe next time I can push a few people down the slide. As time ran out we ran out of customers so I took a tube down and the count went up to 1,168 for tonight and made it 59,018 for the year leaving me 40,982 away from the 100,000 stair goal.

When I exited the park at the exit it was "The Sensational Sasha" who reminded me the night was not over and actually tomorrow I am playing my favorite game "LETS PRETEND THE DAY DIDNT END" so this night won't be over until I leave the Waterpark tomorrow. How about this Sensational Sasha Symmetry as she let me in the park tonight and then was at the exit. It was like a dream of a T account. Mark your calendar for Tuesdays through August 15 because you only have 4 count them 4 more chances to take advantage of the Best Deal at Deep River Waterpark $8.00 admission after 5 p.m. on Tuesday and you can stay until 9:30 p.m. If you can't make it on Tuesday the park is open from 10 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. every single day. It was 9:28 p.m. and 74 degrees when I exited the park so in 12 hours and 32 minutes I can be right back in Indiana's Premiere Waterpark Deep River Waterpark of course and so can you. I'll see you there.

Wednesday July 19, 2006

Twelve hours and twenty-nine minutes passed from the time I left the parking lot of Deep River Waterpark last night at 9:28 p.m. until I returned this morning at 9:57 a.m. to play "LET'S PRETEND THE DAY DIDN'T END." It is my favorite game to play as I stay all night and then come back early the next morning and today it was going to be hot so we would see what was in store for me. Last night I did not ride the bowl slides and as I tell you all the time if you want to ride them come early because these lines get long in a hurry. I started out at the red bowl slide and then I went on the yellow and at the Yellow Bowl slide was Lucy who probably even had a better edition of "LET'S PRETEND THE DAY DIDN'T END" since she got to leave the park later last night and then was allowed to be back at 9:30 a.m. so probably even less than 12 hours away now that is lucky.

I then rode around the action river. I saw girl with Shrek towel who once again for the second time in a row did not have the towel so that is really a poor description on my behalf. Then there was a lifeguard who asked if I was Mark and I didn't know who else I would be although sometimes I go by Jack T. Swims that's my pseudoynm and then sometimes by Chuck. She was glad to meet me but I had not idea who she was and I was floating away and I can't hear well so you know I have to read lips but my vision is impaired without the use of glasses but after the second time I learned her name was Ronnie and I think I can remember that.

I then went over to the storm and started at the abyss and up once I went. Today Brittany was working at the cyclone so it seemed that was the slide that I should ride because the line was shortest and I like that. It was quite busy already in fact even had to wait for a tube most of the time but that is what I get for riding those bowl slides and then to have the audacity to take the action river to an exit rather than walk to slides that could cost me. I rode the storm slides 8x mostly it was the abyss and the count went up to 660. I then went and snuck in my favorite ride whitewater where I was very amused because they have these ropes up indicating wet paint so don't walk on this bridge yet today at this point in time all the tubes were on the other side of the rope. I did make it up to the top of the slide though and I had a good time going down but the count only went up to 704.

Next, I returned to the storm and once I got in the vortex but mainly on cyclone and there was oh he is fun and he yells Mark T like a crowd and he might be my 2006 Male Slide Attendant of the Year but I don't know his name either. He does a good job. Today he only had to run one slide the cyclone and actually at this point in time he was just a rotater. Last night he had 2 slides at the top of the storm so maybe he too got to play "LET'S PRETEND THE DAY DIDN'T END" but I can't verify that he was at work at 9:30 but could he be so lucky as well. At one point Danielle was at the top of the abyss and can you believe she was on this very website the other night? I sure hope she didn't read about how much I missed her and nearly had to stop at a Dairy Queen for a Peanut Buster Parfait. I noticed the lifeguard at the bottom of the abyss really had some nice blonde hair so I think I met her last year but again the name game I put her in the running for Mark T's prestigous Best Hair in the Park award because I'm all about the hair but I don't know how anyone can beat Kristen with her numerous hairstyles and the crush on I have on her and she makes my heart flutter but we will see won't we?

I continued the journey on the storm and rode it 7x this time and the count went to 1,152 and that was not so easy today but I made it over 1,000 so the streak continues but it gets tough on these very hot days. For the year I go up to 60,170 leaving 39,830 to reach 100,000 this season. Now you have heard of the 12 days of Christmas. Well I can't stand those but for me Christmas comes in July and this year in an event so big it will even extend past July into August when from Saturday July 22, 2006- Wednesday August 2, 2006 Your Host PROUDLY PRESENTS featuring (BEST LIFEGUARD AND SLIDE ATTENDANT THINGS ACCORDING TO YOUR HOST). The camera is coming and these 12 days I'll try to be at the park every single day but it has been my summer of discontent so if I can get 9 or 10 out of 12 I'll still be happy. This event featuring on Friday July 28, 2006 special guests both my nephew Matthew T. and Luke T. Joining uncle Mark T. and my sister just might be the only person I ride a slide with this year. Friday I seldom get to appear but it is scheduled. I'll wish for a guest appearance by "The Enchanting Nicole" I'd even buy her ticket if she would ride just one slide with me but I'd bet against that. Also currently in negotiations to have a very special Thursday Friday edition of "LET'S PRETEND THE DAY DIDN'T END" that woudl be something and so much more. I don't even know what will happen.

You too can by coming out to Deep River Waterpark today and I'm sure you will be glad you did. Don't let time passs you by come on out today. I'll see you there.

Saturday July 22, 2006

It was 10:18 and 71 degrees with wind blowing when I returned to start which is an event so big it goes until August 2, 2006. There are the 12 days of Christmas but to me this is the time as we Say Goodbye To July and where did the time go. The event got off to an ominous start as I walked toward the dragon and there is this area that houses lockers and behind it I was and I slipped on some mud and it is on a slope so the momentum carried me on to the concrete of the sidewalk causing some damage to my left knee. I wonder why injuries always seem to occur on my left side. As I lay there momentarily I could hear my sister telling me Mark you are old and you can't just get back up like little kids such as my nephews. They fall you dust them off and there they go. Today it took some time but I was reminded why I climb the stairs now because a day is coming much sooner than I like to think that I won't be able to climb them anymore.

I managed to make my way up the dragon putting the stair count at 94 but then I could see my knee was bleeding and I did not like that. If it wasn't bleeding I would just carry on. I made it to a picnic table and I sat on it for a bit and the bleeding still would not stop so I went into Health Services and there was Lindsey who would take care of me. She was so nice and comforting. She even put some hydrogen peroxide on it and I told her as long as it wasn't Bactine that was ok. Lindsey wasn't familiar with bactine but when I was a kid my mother sprayed bactine on all the scrapes and cuts and it would burn often worse than the injury itself. Lindsey got me all bandaged up it was a big bandage and she told me to come back if the bandage came off later in the day and off I went to test the leg. I took "THE HIKE" and rode the action river to the red bowl slide.

I went down red, yellow, yellow and red and I believe by ride number 2 the bandage was coming off but I did grab it so it did not end up in the water. Interesting while I was in line these girls were commenting how long it had been since they had been there once since she was 7 so like 6 years and the other one it had been a year for me it had been a very long 2 days. If you haven't been to Deep River Waterpark in awhile then you are missing out and haven't seen the action river, the bowl slides, and paddles play area so you should plan to come this season. The stair count was at 390 and the pain was only minor in fact more like an irritating itch. I went around the river and things were just not right today because there sitting in a lifeguard chair without a cup was Stephanie I can't even count how many things were wrong with this picture.

I went to the storm and I rode the abyss 3x and Chaos At the Cage quickly presented itself this morning so I went over to the dragon and up I went and these 2 young boys were on the way down the stairs and they told me don't go down that it scrapes up your back and then they showed me there back with the dragon bites. That happens most especially on the steep slide which is why I like to ride it a bit differently than suggested so I wait and hope for lifeguards I know so they are not afraid. I did not turn around since I have ridden the dragon more times than any person living today unless someone proves otherwise. I then returned to the storm where now there were 2 lifeguards working the cage. I had to laugh at this since on Tuesday night so busy they put a maintenance guy with no whistle or nothing in the cage and today they have 2 lifeguards but at least it stopped Chaos at the Cage.

I went on the storm this time 6x in a row the lines were very short and that was good so I even got my favorite storm slide the cyclone in. Of course to prove this wasn't my day at one point someone returning a tube just slammed me in the face with it which left the lifeguards asking if I was ok and I already had been to Health Services today so I wasn't going to have 2 injuries in one day plus it was inflatable and remember years ago when Brittany hit me some place else that was much more painful? I do. The stair count went to 1060 and then I returned to the dragon.

I rode the curved slide 2x and then I returned to the storm and this time I rode the storm 8x in a row I even got the vortex in a couple of times because the line was the shortest. Chaos at The Cage did return and believe me that wasn't to much fun but at least there were a few single tubes in some semblence of a pile but you don't want to know the things that were being said about the double tubes as some people just kept going especially kids if they wanted to go again and then that makes people mad and then comes CHAOS at the Cage. I had Lucy push me on the cyclone for what might have been the last ride. She said I could make it over to whitewater. Normally you can find me there at the end of Tubin Tuesday cause don't have to wait although it seems I get stuck up top not that I mind though. I thought about it but my knee was not kind of stiff and sometimes you have to live to fight another day.

My intentions were to go to the Action River and then see how I felt. I began the hike and Lindsey right away noticed my bandage was gone and she was concerned but I think it would be rather presumptious of me to say Lindsey you were so nice would you mind fixing me up before I go home. My main concern was the bleeding had stopped and I could walk and climb stairs. I felt very comforted that someone cared. I made my way to the Action River but there was this radio station Mix 101.9 and spin this wheel and maybe you can win a prize. I don't even know how but I won a prize and had my choice of somthing to put around a cup, a Mix 101.9 CD a scoop notebook or a mix tshirt. I took the tshirt but now I had to go and put this away so I went right back and it is a Hike so I thought why not ride my favorite ride whitewater so I did and up I went and the stair count went to 1,804 for the day making 61,974 stairs climbed this season leaving me 38,026 stairs away. continues for day #2 tomorrow but we will have to see if I can get to the park on Monday that has proven tough hopefully. You to can Say Goodbye to July as Deep River Waterpark is open daily from 10 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and until August 15 on Tuesdays it is open from 10 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. Make plans to come out to Indiana's Premiere Waterpark right now. I'll see you there.

Sunday July 23, 2006

This was Day #2 of an event so big that this year it extends until August 2, 2006. On Sunday's I often walk to St. Maria Goretti which is the church that I attend. It is about a mile away and the walk allows me to clear my head. The Mass I attend is at 10:30 a.m. Sometimes I lector at the 4:00 p.m. mass on Saturday so I come to the park early on Sunday. Today I took the walk and you may remember yesterday I injured my left knee and kneeling on it probably did not do it all that good but that is ok. I made it to the park at 3:34 p.m. the temperature was 81 degrees and for the first time this season Kristen scanned my pass for me. She is so pretty and today she was wearing glasses. I love that. Savor the moment ah we should have a summer romance as she scanned my heart fluttered. She pointed out the season is nearly at its end yet again. Here is your chance but I was simply left speechless I don't want to stop seeing here and knowing that I am going to have a great day but soon that will happen.

I started the day on the storm I rode the cyclone and the abyss a total of 8x in a row and the stair count went to 512 and today these knee of mine was very stiff so I wasn't in the best shape for the game and the crowd it was on hand and didn't seem to be clearing out like I would like. I took "The HIKE" over to the action river and around I went I saw Rachel she was hot but it wasn't even that hot today. Finally she finished reading East about some talking polar bear that was bear by day and human by night and now she has 3 more books from Barnes and Nobles. I eventually made my way around the river and went back to the storm.

I started at the cyclone and then it was the abyss and there was Danielle can you believe this could be her last day but that is what happens when we but she might be back in August which is not that far away because they really need the help so they asked her to come back and then this leads closer to the strange life I lead of why don't I just be a slide attendant for a few days. I am at the park nearly every day and even available all day Wednesday Saturday and Sunday and of course Tuesday night. Time is flying by so summer will probably end before then. I then went on the Vortex and Jenna whose birthday is this week said that Mitch whose real name is Umberto was at the park with his family but he was not coming up the top of the slide to kiss her. Apparently they have now broken up probably because he did not want to buy her a birthday gift is what I imagine so they will probably be back together in August just like we hope to see Dannielle back in August.

I returned to the abyss Danielle didn't think I should be afraid of things since I ride on all the slides I am not afraid of slides just some other things like telephones and so is she and asking a girl out and she said that girls were scary but some are nice and maybe that girl at the front gate was nice. I told her she is nice looking. The line was not to long for the abyss and today I had this one timed right. I told Danielle I would cry that it was her last day but real men don't cry and they don't carry umbrellas. She asked even for a girl in the rain and I told her no and then she said you just push her in the mud then? I think you would have to at that point. Well today would all come together as Danielle would push me down the abyss for what was "THE LAST RIDE" and maybe it even meant more than that today but she wanted to get me down before Ralph came ah I found out his name so he goes up against Matt and I wonder what that blonde guys name is to become the 2006 Rookie Slide Attendant of the Year. The stair count went to 1,024 which is riding the storm 16x makes it 62,998 for the year and leave me 37,002 away as the season winds down. Hopefully I have 20 or so more days to play before summer goes away but we will have to see. Time may run out on me.

continues through August 2, 2006 but can I continue the streak by making it to the park on Monday which has proven nearly impossible this summer? Hopefully but if not I'll be back for Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop Tubin Tooooooooooooooosday where you can get into the park for only $8.00 no matter where you are from after 5:00 p.m. HOpefully, they don't take Rachel's suggestion and play Christmas music all day because I can't stand Christmas which will be 5 months away on Tuesday. I suggest no Christmas music get played all summer and that would be good. Remember Deep River Waterpark is open from 10:00 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. for the next 4 Tuesdays and every other day of the week from 10 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Time is running out so come on out today. I'll see you there.

Monday July 24, 2006

continued for Day # today and so far so good as I made it back again today for 3 days in a row. Monday has been the most elusive day and this was only the 4th Monday that I have been at the park this season. It was 4:08 p.m. and 87 degrees when I returned and many people were on their way out which made it rood for me so that I could ride the slides. I started over at the storm mostly sticking to the stair climbers best friend the abyss but once I got the cyclone in there. Rachel was working again today at the bottom of cyclone do you think that she should be the 2006 Female Lifeguard of the Year? She might be that decision coming very soon. Today stair climbing would be the focus. I rode the storm 6 times making the count 384 and today not all that much time to play.

I went and rode the dragon as it is the outlet slide and for a bit the line was short. At the top was Brittney but today she was missing the usual energy and was ready to go home. I rode the curved slide 3x which pushed the count up to 666 and it was between 4:45-4:50 so just less than an hour to play would I still win today? The line got long so I returned to the storm and started off at the cyclone and Amanda was at the abyss and she had not seen me in the last 2 weeks I think 2 Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop Tubin Toooooooooooooosdays to be exact. That is the amazing thing I am at the park a lot but never know who I will see and people may be there but our paths will never cross it happens. She did not have those Deep River Waterpark sunglasses she said she would get me and that is all I had been looking forward to for the last 2 weeks but maybe she will find me a pair later.

I continued up and down the slides mostly the abyss and it was Amanda the rest of the way and at one point a tube came flying at the people in the splash pool this made me nervous but she clamed it would not do anything. It did not for "THE LAST RIDE" I went down my favorite storm slide the cyclone which had no waiting at all. The count was 1178 making 64,176 climbed this season but leaving me 35,824 away from 100,000 and time is running out. Then I saw Melanie at the cage and I haven't seen her forever but all the tubes were nicely stacked. She won't be at the park tomorrow night because she will be at the fair and dragging her 17 year old boyfriend to the fair for the first time ever. He has never been and I say he is lucky. I however will be at the park as only 4 more Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop Tubin Tooooooooooooosdays remain this season. Don't forget you can get in for only $8.00 after 5:00 p.m. no matter where your from. Tonight my sister and I went to Kilwins for ice cream the waffle cones were just made. I had Mackinaw Fudge and my sister had Scherrerville Mudd and I wondered if Kristen at the gate would join me for ice cream. It is available at Milo's and they have dippin dots ice cream of the future available to in assorted flavors. Tubin Tuesday is the best deal this season. Don't delay come out today. I'll see you there.

Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop Tubin Toooooooooooosday July 25, 2006

As we this is the last Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop Tubin Toooooooooosday of July 26 the 4th and final in July and if you missed them you have only 3 thats right only 3 more chances to take advantage of the best deal at Deep River Waterpark when no matter where your from you can join in all the fun after 5:00 p.m. for only $8.00. It was 7:13 p.m. and 87 degrees when I finally returned and today my nephews were at the park they will actually join me on Friday July 28 at 10:30 a.m. at the frog slide but today my sister and parents were on hand and they are all about if you ate. Yesterday I had no lunch and I was fueled until I had dinner with my other sister by just a bannana. Usually I have a bannana on Sunday but it would be embarassing to buy just one what would the Enchanting Nicole say so at some other time I try to eat the other one but they turn brown so fast. Well I had lunch today but no dinner and don't you know by now that I just love the Turkey store honey turkey? With a large crowd on hand the first thing I did was have dinner. I wonder if this is how the streak is going to end as it was very busy tonight and this takes up stair climbing time.

I started the day at the storm actually the abyss and oh no not this 3 slides 2 slide attendants and large lines it wasn't looking good but this is where I would stay and Amanda and Matt they would quickly go back and forth from slide to slide. It reminded me of the shell game which slide would the attendant not be at see if you can pick that. Amanda was thirsty and tired so that did not seem a good combination and at one point she ran all the way down the stairs only to then later run right back up it was very confusing for all watching. It was slow going even sticking to the stair climbers best friend the abyss. I did manage to ride the storm 12x which put the stair count up to 768 and the lights had come on and it was dark and my line of vision to the dragon was severely impaired as I could not see how the line was over there.

I went up the stairs of the dragon and I rode the steep slide and the count went to 862 and some people they get out of breath just riding the dragon once but I can just keep going and going and see these people still catching their breath I went back up and now Jenna was at the top her birthday is coming up very soon and she will be 18 woohoo. This time I went on the curved slide and then once more to make sure the win was in and the count was at 1,050 and then I walked clear across the park to get Jenna a Tootsie Pop because she was so hungry and she always seems to be hungry on Tuesday night what's with that and she was all the way at the top so I had to climb to the top and down the curved slide I went placing the count at 1,114 for the night.

I went over and rode the abyss and I nearly stuck the landing there but Emily said that would nearly be impossible to do as I really go fast down that slide. Sometimes if I don't stop myself I can go all the way over to the stairs. If you don't think I can do it I will consider that a challenge and up once more I went and down I came quickly and then I stuck the landing it was "pretty good" I don't get to practice landings when is is busy but at night when the sun goes down that sure is fun. Of course it is fun too on busy days when the water doesn't get cleared out so quickly and then with how fast I go I nearly hit people so I do everything I can to fly out of the way. Waving in the dark who I could not see it was Jennifer. Do you think she should be the 2006 Female Lifeguard of the Year it seldom ever goes to a lifeguard that works the wavepool but sometimes it does. As she got closer I could see her and that was nice.

She said that she would stick around the storm just for me while I got her a tootsie pop but she said any kind would be ok so I got her my favorite and do you by now know which flavor that is? I returned to the storm and there she was and she said it was her favorite too and she even gave me a hug that is the best thing that has happened to me in like 7 years. Then I made my way to my favorite ride where I end up on Tuesday nights at whitewater because earlier Amanda told me to come up there and have tootsie pop in hand. I passed Chris and "I am the Cute One on the Way" who said the time was 9:10 and 9:12 and normally that doesn't matter but now we are down to the minutes as the rides close at 9:15 p.m. the park itself closes at 9:30 p.m. I made it up to the top of whitewater not before they announce the rides were closed but Jazzie let me go down and that was not Amanda and tonight there was not choice that had to be "THE LAST RIDE" As I was gathering my things Amanda came running and she claims she is not a track star but she was running all night. Apparently at the closing minutes she had rotated over to the top of body I mean at that point with like 10 minutes is that really necessary but she got a tootsie pop which may have been wet but it had a wrapper on it so hopefully it was ok cause I had to ride with it down the slide.

Hopefully weather permitting I get to play "LET'S PRETEND THE DAY DIDN'T END" when the tootsie pops still get given out and it is just like I never left which I did actually leave at 9:33 p.m. with the temperature 80 degrees. 1,316 stairs climbed making the total for the year 65,492 leaving 34,508 to reach 100,000 for the first back to back seasons ever I have never done that so we will see but time its a running out on me. It is also running out on you so if you can't make it one of the next 3 Tuesdays or even if you can why not come to Indiana's Premiere Waterpark Deep River Waterpark another day like today. It is open from 10 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. daily. I'll see you there.

Wednesday July 26, 2006

It took 12 hours and 24 minutes for me to return to Deep River Waterpark as I left last night at 9:33 p.m. and returned this morning at 9:57 a.m. to play my favorite game "LET'S PRETEND THE DAY DIDN'T END" but Emily only spent 9 hours and 34 minutes away how lucky can one person get? Today was Day Number 5 of the 12 days of and I have made it to the park 5 out of 5 of those days who could ask for anything more. Today it was overcast and it appeared to be raining when I got to the park. I started the day off at the bowl slides I alternated riding the red bowl slide 1st and a total of 3 times and then the yellow bowl slide 2x and the stair count went to 370 and I always tell you if you want to ride those particular slides it is best to get to the park early and ride them then or the lines they start to build up quickly. I then went around the river and walked over to the dragon. I just rode the curved slide and then I went over to the storm and can you believe in July we are already down to maintenance workers on the top of slides. There were 2 maintenance workers but at least they each had a slide so they would not be overwhelmed. It is good to see 1 person at each slide or sometimes things get difficult.

I went on the abyss and then the cyclone and then I was able to sneak in my favorite ride of them all whitewater and the stair count went to 636 and today it was going slow but that is what happens when you start at the bowl slides they take awhile to ride, it takes awhile to walk over there and then I rode the river back that takes some time they are time absorbers. However today I had plenty of time to play as the sun didn't seem like it was going to show itself and therefore I would not be burned. I went into the Lazy River I got to see Jennifer wasn't it lucky for me after I hadn't seen her for so long then only hours passed before I saw her again. That was great. I then did the easiest thing I ever do "RIVER TO RIVER" where I go from one river to the other.

I then went to the storm and rode the abyss and then the cyclone which is a very rough ride on me 5x in a row and Brittany was there and I saw her come in today and now she was at the top of the slide and things were going good that was good and she kept the line moving and I like that and the stair count went to 1,020 and then I returned to the Action River and I saw Rachel who knows all about "LET'S PRETEND THE DAY DIDN'T END" when you can get a Tootsie Pop even if you got one on Tuesday on Wednesday because in my world the day never ended but for that I would have to take "THE HIKE" and then take it back and I only had 25 minutes. I made it back in time. Rachel saw a black butterfly but she did not want to put it in a jar which they might have in front because many people don't realize some mayonase comes in a glass jar and you can't bring glass or alcohol into the park so they make you empty the glass jar out. Rachel did not want to capture the butterfly to give to her friend.

Tonight Rachel's mom would be at the park I don't remember meeting her but apparently I did like 2 years ago. I meet so many people in any given day how am I to remember them all. Tomorrow Rachel will probably not pop into where I work at 360 West Butterfield Road in Elmhurst IL but she will be right down the road with her mother at Oakbrook Mall. She will be less than 2.5 miles away from "The Worlwide Leader in Freight Payment" I don't think I will see her out the windows of my 4th floor office though. She might eat at the Cheesecake Factory I have eaten there once. It was pretty good. Rachel had to go but she still did not want the butterfly so I went on my way but "I am The Cute One" was sitting that way so I put on the brakes and then went in reverse to avoid her which led me to Lindsey III aka "The Model" who is now not on pool because she fell up some stairs and injured her thumb and she was bandaged up and despite the fact I have been at the park 5 days in a row she had not seen me. These things happen though but maybe now I will see her more since she will be in rotation.

I returned to the storm and the lines were nice and short. I like that so I got to follow my usual pattern and I started with the vortex then abyss and made my way to the cyclone where I nearly fell down and Lucy had her hands out ready to catch me and I am sure at that point we would have both just come tumbling down the slide and that would have been just great because guess who just happened to be at the bottom behind the lifeguard on duty that's right the girl I have nightmares about that is so cute "I am The Cute One" luckily I did not fall down the slide and Lucy didn't have some explaining to do. The cyclone is rough and as I hit that last bump up I go and I get turned all around and many times my head is just like a bobble head. On the next go around at the cyclone the tube flew up and the lifeguard who made me realize I don't know like any guys names said Christina almost had to jump in and save you. Christina is also known as "I am The Cute One" and that was not going to happen and wasn't he on duty to act as my shield anyway?

I rode my normal 10x but I couldn't stop there so I ended up on the vortex but I normally always end up on cyclone because it is my favorite storm slide. The stair count went to 1788 and then I went over to the dragon and I saw Lindsey remember how she bandaged me up and she has this strange thing that when I see her I just want to dance and I don't even dance but I have felt restraint and have not started dancing. She was training some new lifeguards if I looked over there I could tell there were people I could not see them clearly as I was not wearing my glasses. I can see close but far and then she set me up as I asked her what she was doing and she said "I am going to get some dummies" I told her I am not going to comment on that line I was thinking just walk away before you say something you shouldn't because sometimes I'm rather harsh and I just say things that come into my mind. Then she explained to me what dummies were and I so wanted to go into a bit with her but I manage do get out of that and up to the dragon where I rode the curved slide 2x with Lucy as my guide.

I then went around the action river and I had to go over 2,000 stairs today with the count at 1,976 but needed energy for one more ride. I got the energy and today "THE LAST RIDE" goes to the cyclone and the count goes to 2040 for the day and 67,532 for the season but still leaves 32,468 stairs to go to reach 100,000 and time it is just flying by so will there be enough time. continues for Day #6 tomorrow but I haven't been to the park on a Thursday at all this year. Might I have something up my sleeve to finally make this happen not even I know for sure. I do know that 2006 (BEST LIFEGUARD AND SLIDE ATTENDANT THINGS ACCORDING TO YOUR HOST).Click on the Logo to see the 2006 Edition

has now opened and is under construction and that weather permitting its the return of "THE SHOW" on Friday July 28, 2006 where I climb the stairs of the dragon at least 8 times in a row as I'll be doing that before I meet my nephews at 10:30 a.m. They will not be going on the dragon probably action river and childs play area. Time it is running out as July is nearly done so why not come on out to Deep River Waterpark today. I'll see you there.

Friday, July 28, 2006

I was unable to achieve the impossible dream as I haven't gotten Kristen at the front gate to let me buy her lunch hey I'd even buy her dinner ah but maybe one should ask would that I could. I like her alot and every day I see here turns out to be a great day. This impossible dream was to get to the park on a Thursday once earlier this year I was going to work 1/2 day and the hours became 7 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. so I didn't get there and last night rain washed the dream away. So my streak ended at 5 days in a row but today continued and I got to the park on a Friday which is also a tough day. Remember when we started Saturday and I fell in some mud injuring my left knee. My nephew was very concerned about it on Wendesday and I told him about it and how Lindsey fixed me all up and maybe he would get to meet her today but that did not happen. HOwever my nephews both of them did appear did you see them there?

I arrived at the park at 10:15 a.m. the temperature was 79 degrees and it was overcast. Since this event started I have been unable to do the show where I ride the dragon at least 8 times in a row but today it was the return of "THE SHOW" and that is where I startedd the day going down each slide 4x alternating between curved and steep and the stair count went to 752 and then I was running late because my nephews were to be at the park at 10:30 a.m. and it was close to 10:45 but when I went to look for them they were not there so I looked some more but still no where to be found. Since I did a 10 a.m. show why not start an 11 oclock show and I returned to the dragon. Brittney was still up there and she was very tired and she was lucky that she was going to get to be at the park for 12 hours. She didn't think I would want to work that long sometimes I do and then I have at least an hour ride home from where I work. I went up and down each slide again 4x and alternating between both slides. The stair count went up to 1,504 and still my nephews had not arrived.

I therefore went around the action river because by now I needed some rest since I had climbed up the dragon 16x I saw Emily do you think she should be your 2006 Rookie Female Lifeguard of the Year? She warned me that I probably didn't want to go up to the top of the bowl because they had one slide attendant at top for 2 slides and that is already slow and the storm was probably short slide attendants as well. I did notice at the begining of the day only one lifeguard there I am used to that like the last 2 weeks but there is still like a month remaining. I went around the action river 2x and then I found my nephews and my sister and my parents. They played in the children's play area. I learned they don't like water pouring on their heads and there is a lot of that going on over there. I held my youngest nephew he will be 9 months on July 31 and he just felt the water for awhile we were under the attraction and he really liked to grasp the net.

This season I have not had a rider to go down any slide with me but coming shortly you will see which person at the park I would most like that to be. My sister if she comes has to watch the kids so she doesn't get to ride the slides. Today we were going to play but first we had to set up the nephews and would you believe they love the wavepool? They play in the shallow part although I am told my 3 year old nephew got a little deeper diving into some waves today. We left them with our parents. I was actually at the wave pool although I did not go past the red line where chairs are not suppose to go past. My sister and I went to the storm she was pleased that it was organized. She has seen "CHAOS AT THE CAGE" The gal working their could have been a maintenance person and she was doing a fantastic job of keeping the line as a line. Often times it just becomes a mob and she was certainly getting a work out and she even had everyone out of the cage. Her efforts were appreciated.

We started with the cyclone and that is a rough ride and it was no different today as at the end of the slide there is this bump that pushes you up in the air and then the water wasn't clear and we were about to knock over some little boy so I abandoned ship. The next slide we would ride was the vortex. We saw Jenna at the top things were not going her way today. She said she was quitting my sister said she must be going off to college. She is going to be a senior in high school graduating in 2007 and just turned 18 party on Saturday to celebrate. We then went down the abyss which is a very fast slide at least for me and boy did we come flying down that slide. I did no try to stick the landing just trying to put on the brakes so that we would stay in the water.

Next we went on the enclosed body slide that actually is my sister's favorite ride and sometimes I go on it but not very often as the line gets long and today we didn't even start at the stairs but I had plenty of time and down we went but not at the same time. My sister went first so that she would not lose me. Then we went to look for the nephews and it would be the blind leading the blind so I got the glasses on so I could see. The nephews were not in the wave pool but I did find Emily no not the Emily from before the other Emily see how it's Emily versus Emily for 2006 Female Rookie Lifeguard of the year? My nephews had gone to have lunch could you guess what there was it was turkey store honey turkey. When that was done my one nephew really like to play right at the entrance of the action river where the water is shallow. It was a bit busy with people coming in and out but he liked to jump into the water.

That is what he wanted to do we asked if he wanted to go on the slide with us but not today. I got to see Jennifer at the entrance wow what a great week I saw her Tuesday Wednesday and Friday she was not on wavepool today which was great for me. It was a bit crazy at the entrance so I sent my sister off to secure a double tube and it took awhile and she thought there were only 4 total but I think there are 12 and then I reminisce about when they actually rented out double tubes which I am sure a lot of people would rent out especially on days like this. We made our way over to the red bowl slide and up we went and Mike he gave us a good boost but we only made it around the bowl 2 times. My sister wanted to get at least 4 but no such luck.

We went around the action river. Even through the buckets since my sister was pulling the tube we did not get stuck at that island like I always do and then we tried yellow because maybe we could get more rotations around that but no luck just 2 and then around the action river one last time we would go. As we were exiting Emily asked now we are back to the first Emily I saw today keep track of this people if I had met her baby sister and I looked in this little river section where my nephew likes to play looking for her and she said no she is a guard here so where is she and she guessed probably at wave pool. I don't think I met her but she described her and she was tall blonde thin I thought I recognized this description but did she have sunglasses with just a tad of yellow on each side because those are the best sunglasses in the park according to me. She did well why I have never met her or known her name she is one of my favorite. Emily told me that is her baby sister her name is Alicia I wonder if I spelled that right. Now I have Emily versus Emily and Sister versus Sister for the 2006 Female Rookie Lifeguard of the Year can you believe this?

Here I thought it was going to be rough when the St. John Corn Roast and Schererrville Corn Roast have both been scheduled for Friday August 11, 2006 and usually they are on different Fridays there is no way I can get to both in one night. It was 3:17 and 91 degrees when I left the park. That could be the longest I stayed all year but I sure had a lot of fun. The stair count today 1,888 384 climbed with my sister. For the season I have climbed 69,420 still leaving me 30,580 away from 100,000 and time is running out. Plus the heat makes it very difficult to get a lot of stairs in. While I can't make it 2 corn roasts in one day you can get to Deep River Waterpark one day or more this season so why not make it today. Come on out right now. I'll see you there.

Saturday July 29, 2006

cotinued on into week number 2 and day #8 and I have been at Deep River Waterpark 7 out of 8 days that is so great but something even greater happened today when I was so lucky to see that girl that probably everyone knows I have a crush on by now and soon the story line will end boy likes girl and if that boy might be Mark T he won't get the girl that is how the story ends but in between we have the middle and today Kristen was wearing glasses and I love that. Her hair was in jus a small ponytail I like that. She was behind the gate as mobs of groups anxiously awaited its opening. Everyday I see Kristen is absolutely positively fantastic. If only I could see here every day then things would really be going my way. Today I had to get to the park early because it was going to be hot so I arrived even before it opened at 10 a.m. I still had to wait until then to get in though.

On Saturday one does not get the luxury of a Sunday late arriving crowd because folks go to church instead the park fills up rather quickly on hot days like this. I therefore would have a limited time to play. I would start on the dragon so happy these days that the injury to my left knee is nearly all gone. I got it one week ago and I had to Shelf "THE SHOW" yesterday was the return of "THE SHOW" where I ride the dragon at least 8x in a row. Today I started with the curved slide and then alternated but slide rides 9, 10 and 11 went to the curved slide because that line was shorter. I was just going to ride it until the line was to long for me. On cooler days I have ridden the dragon 30 plus times and I am pretty sure I can still do that at any point in time. Unless someone can prove otherwise there is no person alive today that has ridden the dragon more than I have. The stair count quickly went up to 1,034 and then I went over to the storm.

There the guy in the cage said he would never volunteer for that job again because CHAOS AT THE CAGE was occuring and with no whistle what could he do? I went up to the abyss and Amanda said she was yelling for me when I went on dragon but you know I can't hear all that well but the slide attendant over there I think Becky is her name I should know she is in year number 2 did tell me they are yelling at you over there and she could barely here them. I did not know why they would be yelling at me since I wasn't even on the storm. Amanda let me see her sunglasses but she still did not provide me with those Deep River waterpark glasses that she said she would. She found these at the bottom of whitewater and claims that she has had 2 pairs of sunglasses "stolen" this season. Even with these sunglasses she will not win best sunglasses because I already have named a winner and you can see who by going to (BEST LIFEGUARD AND SLIDE ATTENDANT THINGS ACCORDING TO YOUR HOST).Click on the Logo to see the 2006 Edition and if you go there you will also see the guy on the cyclone today is your 2006 Male Slide Attendant of the Year. He said he tried to get to dragon but that job was already taken but he would be over there next but the line was growing over there down 2 flights of stairs so I wouldn't be back to the dragon.

I then continued on the adventures on the abyss and I learned how Amanda allegedly had her sunglasses stolen. Once the story involved her throwing off her sunglasses and flip flops and maybe her whistle to and then she was running. Do you notice she seems to run alot but she claims she is not a track star. I bet Justin must just love all this running and then when she came back the flip flops were still there but not the sunglasses. The next pair was stolen at an inservice when she left them on the table and only employees were in the park. Now she claims they found 6 pairs of sunglasses at whitewater and she just took this pair. If people are really stealing sunglasses then do me a favor and gather up all these big white sunglasses which no one needs to wear and get them out of the park.

They sent another maintenance worker to the cage and "CHAOS AT THE CAGE" it got worse and it was an absolute mess over there today as the mob was in the cage with no order whatsoever to it so that was my cue to exit. I rode the abyss 7x and the cyclone once and the stair count went to 1,546 and then I took "THE HIKE" and went around the action river and I went around it twice and surveyed the slides from there and I did not know if I wanted to wait in line after all I already had ridden 19 slides today which is probably more than most people do all day long. I got out of the river saw "The SENSATIONAL SASHA" I told her I was fantastic because I was every day is great when I see Kristen I had a smile inside since I got into the park. Then as I was walking "The SENSATIONAL SASHA" got past me because she was running and rather fast which I took as a sign that I should exit the park as soon as possible. I did so and the count for the year is no 70,966 leaving me 29,034 away from 100,000 stairs. Will I get to the park often enough to reach this goal. The calendar and thermometer are working against me so we will see. Meanwhile summer is flying by and what you need to do before it passes by is to give Indiana's Premiere Waterpark Deep River Waterpark of course a try. Come on out right now. I'll see you there.

Sunday July 30, 2006

continued into day 9 of 12 can you believe it is almost over but so far I have made it 8 out of 9 days. Today I nearly declared it to hot but then remembering history the Sunday crowd is slow to arrive so I would have some time to play. It was the biggest line I had ever seen for season passes but then alot of those people really wanted group salesso we got in rather quickly. Today I started off just like yesterday by doing "THE SHOW" where I ride the dragon at least 8x in a row. I had the same lifeguard that I started out with yesterday. Today I rode the slide 12x alternating between curved and steep. The line did not get to long but the air got to heavy making it difficult to continue so I went and took "THE HIKE" and went into the action river and rode the tube over so I could ride the red bowl slide. The line was down 2 flights of stairs which wasn't all that bad. Remember on Bowl slides you should ride them early in the day.

The stair count quickly went up to 1,202 and then I rode around Action river. I saw Rachel who might just be the 2006 Female Lifeguard of the Year and she was standing up because earlier she drank all her water and then began to shake. I am thinking that is not a good sign and it is so hot. I told her I wouldn't be around all that long today because it was so hot. I managed to sneak in my favorite ride of them all whitewater and when I came down there was a rescue in progress so don't worry I pulled up short. I think this guy is in his first season and he always says Hi to me and if I knew his name and what season he was in he would definately take one of the 2006 Male Lifeguard of the Year awards.

I then went to the storm and was lucky that got to go in the usual pattern vortex, abyss cyclone cyclone but then it was just abyss a few more times and the very slide attendant that I had at dragon now came to run the abyss and the very lifeguard I started the day with was at the bottom of the abyss. Waterpark Safety Symmetry I like that and I would make that my last ride. I got to ride the storm 7 times today and got in 21 slides today all before noon. The count went to 1,694 for the day and 72,660 for this season still leaving me 27,340 stairs away from the first time ever of climbing 100,000 stairs back to back in consecutive seasons. Time is running out and I missed some good stair climbing days during the summer of my discontent. This was only the 39th time this season I made it out to Deep River Watepark. It was 11:59 a.m. and 91 sweltering degrees when I left the park. I may have already declared tomorrow "TO HOT". However when its to hot for me Deep River Waterpark is where you want to be. How many times have you come out. Why not add too it today but coming on out right now. I'll see you there.
