Wednesday The 4th of July, 2007

Yestereday I left Deep River Waterpark at 8:46 p.m. and this morning I returned to the parking lot at 9:45 a.m. The temperature was 75 degrees so I spent 12 hours and 59 minutes away and it was a rather restless night for me. It was time to play "Let's Pretend The Day Didn't End" or after last night maybe pretend the day neve happened. The day at least began much better than last night ended. I saw Emily and that was great. My chair was still in place from last night. Emily was handing out cards. She has some bright yellow sandals that I like plus they make it easier for me to find her. She knows that when I play "Let's Pretend The Day Didn't End" you can get a tootsie pop on Wednesday as well and there was an orange lef for her so things were going well now. I don't think that was enought to change to my trademark yellow shorts actually those weren't even with me today as after last night I didn't think we would see them for sometime. Today it was red with some white and very little blue for the 4th of July.

The first slide I started to journey to was the Dragon. I saw Jennifer and Justin. I let Justin know how disappointed I was that he never came and found me. He claimed that he couldn't help it that is how the big boss scheduled him and they don't make the schedule. Apparently he didn't get the concept of "Let's Pretend The Day Didn't End" because he could have just found me now and I could give him a tootsie pop but my subtly for him was a flop. I went on the curved dragon slide once and I don't often wear these red shorts actually they are from years ago and since then I have lost weight and I came to realize these shorts were to big and there could be some issues to try and keep them on.Trying to climb 4,000 stairs on the 4th of July I really did not have time to change because the best time to climb is at the start of the day around 10 a.m. Therefore I went to the storm.

Over the next several hours that is where I would be. I saw many slide attendants come and go and some even came back. I did get to go on the cyclone several times. I mostly went on the abyss and one time only I did go on the vortex. At first I told myself I would get some rest with 1,630 stairs climbed that was 24x in a row on the storm but I could do more so once I got to over 2000 that would be more than half way so a good point to get rest. I had ridden the storm 30x in a row and I could not stop myself and I carrier on and certainly when the count got to 2,590 I should stop because that is only 1,410 away and I had ridden the storm 39x in a row but I could not stop then but when I got to 44 for the 4th of July I would stop with the stair count of 2,910 but I did not stop because I could ride this 50x in a row. I like to ride 50 slides in a day and on a few occassion I have picked a structure and just rode the slides 50x in a row and why not today. Even riding the storm 50x in a row that was not 4000 stairs it was 3,294 and now I was so close I had to keep going and I did 4 more times and I had ridden the storm 54x in a row and the stair count was 3,550 and then finally I would stop.

I needed to get some rest and if I would be riding the dragon I needed to change the shorts for from red to blue they went and I took a walk around the park to see all the people that made me happy. It was approximately 2:10 p.m. and I was sure that I would be able to complete the 4,000 stairs as only 5 times on dragon or 8 more rides on the storm. I usually take the same walk every single day. I put the glasses on so I can see everything and I can stop and look at things that interest me on any given day. I have found I can't always keep going on slides so it is a nice way to extend my stay as I don't always want to ride around a river as I don't like to go under all the effects in the action river and there is one spot there is like no current and you have to really work to get through there. I do like to walk around it nice side walk goes all the way around and I can see everything. This walk led to me to Chris, Jennifer and Steve who I have actually been calling Greg all this year maybe now I will remember his name well this year but if he comes back next year probably won't as names are not my relly my thing. Of course I know Jennifers name because she is one of my favorite people and I know Chris because I have seen him for years. This day was going much better. I could get them some tootsie pops since they would be on this side of the park awhile.

I learned that Jennifer liked to run and then she said we should run some time so I told her that you and Chris could go for a run as I hoped that is what she meant by we. I prefer to say I am going to run like remember the storyline where I claimed in April I would be running 13.1 miles in the Valpo mini marathon didn't you all forget that when it came? My sister actually did run it and she finished. I did run some practices with her until I was able to beat her and then that was good enough for me. Her and my father participate in numerous runs during the year and they always say I can joing them but I don't think I want to do that. I do walk rather fast I am told it takes about 15 minutes for me to walk a mile. Steve had a lost kid with him that he was going to find a home for. I was kept updated of where he is. I felt more comfortable when he returned that I would be able to find him. He is an economics major. I am most impressed by that.

I did make it back with the tootsie pops. Joe Parker facilities manager now had joined this group. He said he was sorry that he could not find me last night. II can forgive him. I don't know that I can do a whole page about Joe Parker but maybe him standing next to numerous lifeguards sitting in this high chair and we could have a collage on a page. He wanted to know if I had his blue tootsie pop but I had none. I had searched through over 20 bags and couldn't find a single one. Lots of watermelon but no blue. Next week if I have to I will go to a few more stores to see if I can find a bag with at least one blue tootsie pop. Jennifer got a wrapper with and indian shooting a star which she claimed you can collect and then send in to get free stuff. I have given out tootsie pops for 13 seasons now and I have never heard of this. I did the one year go that if you did get the wrapper with the indian you could have another tootsie pop of course if anyone wanted another one I would have given them one anyway. I do not think she could prove this to a medical certainty and according to this link that is just an urban legend Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop Urban Legend

Joe said I could have the chair today. If it needed to be from the tube shack for some reason then I could have that chair but I have seen that chair is not in very good shape and I love to take photos in that chair but it would be nearly statistically impossible for the same chair to end up year after year at the same spot and I think everyone I have photographed in the chair is no longer at the park :( but that doesn't mean I don't like the chair. I went out the front gate and got my hand stamped and I did have some money just in case and that is my fake name Justin Case this would happen today. When I came back Joe had the chair already to go. I did not have a camera though. I should have one soon at the end of July but I am not very good at taking pictures. He let me sit in the chair and he was off to take a complaint but I should be able to get out of the park with the chair without any problem as he did notify them.

Did you know Jennifer's birthday was on Monday now she is twenty no longer a teenager. She suggested I play bingo. I don't know about that these are just things that will make me feel old as I told them this is the first year I have ever felt old. I did say I would play in an old mans soccer league if I could find any and then she suggested the indoor soccer indicating once again that I was old. I only can actually go at it with people I like so she was a lot of fun for me today. I don't think at any point that she wanted to hit me but I have had a lot of females tell me they wanted to hit me. Her idea for storyline was we found a soccer ball and then Joe, Steve and I had a pick up game of soccer with her as a goalie. This makes no sense. I have a vivid imagination and I can not imagine that. Apparently both Joe and Steve played soccer in high school and I am so old that soccer was started in the high school I went when I was a senior they didn't have it as a sport before that or I would have enjoyed playing that. I like to play defense. Joe was also a wrestler. Jennifer claimed she played tennis. I am not sure about that.

I got this chair into the car. Joe was right no problem getting in out of the park. I then returned to stair climbing and I looked at the dragon and even though I had changed shorts I didn't actually think I could make it up there. It was very hot and humid now and that isn't good for me. I went to the storm and I was on abyss I saw Mike he was going back to cyclone where he had been hours before I was on 3,678 when he came along. I continued on abyss thinking this was some very poor planning on my part because when I climbed up the abyss for the 7th time in a row the stair count went to 3,998 and I could tell I was tired. The sun had gotten to me. I did reapply sunscreen SPF 70 but I think that reached its limit today as I don't normally stay out in the sun that long. It was a struggle and I just needed 2 more stairs just 2 so for "The Last Ride" I went to see Mike on the Cyclone and that is where for the 6th time in 8 tries I won the 4,000 stair game climbing 4,062 stairs today making the count for the year 51,934

4,000 stairs on the 4th of July was a success. "Let's Pretend The Day Didn't End" means that since the day never ended yesterday it was actually now a good day yesterday. Only Justin never found me to get his Tootsie pop maybe next week all worked out. The chair is in my breezeway I sat in it awhile I liked it. I am a very picky eater and I do not like most condiments and will not allow any in my refrigerator it is one of the 29 reasons that I am not married. Although I am willing to get a refrigerator and put it in the garage if it is necessary to have condiments such as ketchup, mustard, etc. I do however keep aloe vera in the refrigerator so that felt good to apply to my burns. This was a wonderful 4th of July and for all the fun I had today my trademark yellow may return when I return on Saturday around 10 a.m. I left the park at 4:50 p.m. The temperature was 85 degrees. In my world I thought my whole storyline was over for the season but look new ones have begun and I can keep my precious memories. Just because the 4th of July is over doesn't mean Deep River Waterpark season is over it continues as the park is open every single day from 10 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Make your plans to come out today and create your own memories and if those aren't good just come back another day for different ones. Eventually, I'll see you there.

Saturday 07-07-07

For many people the number 7 is a lucky number. My lucky number is 12 and I dislike the number 5 because many bad things in my life are associated with the number 5. On this day I read that many people will be getting married. I will not be among them. When I was younger I had dreamed of having a wedding at Deep River Waterpark at the top of the storm on the Abyss and my bride and I would go down a double tube rather quickly to the guests in attendance. That dream will probably never come true because I have no prospects of getting married anytime soon and even if I did through the years I have seen that I would like to be married in the month of October which means so much to me. Since I wasn't getting married and had no wedding to attend I arrived at Deep River Waterpark at 10:04 a.m. and it was already 82 degrees and there was a very large crowd on hand. In fact you could hear the murmur of the crowd as they anxiously awaited the opening of the gate.

On the 4th of July I climbed 4,062 stairs and I rode the dragon once and the storm 62x but not once did I go on the bowl slide. I knew that on that day that would not be good strategy. I always say if you want to ride the bowl slides make sure to come early because that is the best time. The line grows very quickly for them and today it seemed to grow quicker than on a normal day. I was happy that after 2 days away that I was able to return to Deep River Waterpark and returned to my trademark yellow shorts and started the day with the yellow bowl slide. I then went on the red bowl slide. The line was already close to the first flight of stairs but I wanted to ride it today. I did so and this time I did not get stuck so I was happy. The stair count went to 148.

Next I went over to the dragon and I rode the curved slide 5x in a row. The slide attendant said I should write a book she would have me sign it. I think you can read everything that happens to me right here for free so I don't know what the point would be. The line for the dragon started to grow today. In fact it was the longest I had seen it all year down 2 flights of stairs if I were to go up for time #6 so I decided there would be no "THE SHOW" today and I went over to the storm. At the storm I noticed the attendant had her arm in a sling. Am I observant? I asked her what happened and she said that she was signaling for a small child on the bowl slide and fell and broke her elbow I believe and had to be in this thing for 3-6 weeks that sounded awful. In fact one of my worst nightmares is having to spend the entire summer in some sort of cast. I somehow managed to ride each storm slide today and I got the abyss 3x so the total was 5 and the stair count went to 938.

Next I needed a break I probably could have made it up one more time but that would really limit my stay today. I knew today I wasn't at Deep River Waterpark for a long time I was just there for a good time. I went around the action river and not only did I go around once I actually went around 2x. I did see Chris and he had not yet gone on this run with Jennifer. That was disappointing but when asked why he indicated that it was to hot. I have to give him that it is to hot for that and the parking lot was very crowded today. I returned to the storm adn for "The LAST RIDE" I chose the cyclone because that is my favorite storm slide and the line was down past the stairs and the best I could tell it took slightly more than 15 minutes to arrive at the top and go down. That made the stair count a whopping 1,002 but means I win again. For the year the count goes to 52,936 leaving me 57,064 away from the 110,000 stair goal. This was visit #25 and my goal is to visit the park at least 50 times during the year so this could be the half way point for me in which case I would be slightly behind. Last year I got to the park 55 times during the season.

I would strongly recommend that you rent a tube today for the park was very busy and by the time that I was done there was lines for the tubes and this attendant with one hand was doing her best in a lot of pain to get the tubes to the people. I was amazed at how she was able to get throw them with one arm into the right spot and a couple even stacked on top of one another most impressive. I even threw my tube over there for her and those tubes went very quickly. If you rent a tube you can take it on any ride that allows tubes and you don't have to wait for the tube so it is worth the money on these hot busy days. They were out directing traffic when I left the park at 12:29 with the temperature 87 degrees. I don't know when I will return in might not be until Tuesday night but the temperature is suppose to get even hotter so you may as well come on out to Deep River Waterpark today to cool down. Eventually, I'll see you there.

Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop Tubin Tooooooooooooooooooooosday July 10, 2007

During the 2007 season there will be 10 Tuesdays that the park is open until 9:30 p.m. This was number 5 which means there are only 5 more left this season. Tonight it was 5:13 and 87 degrees when I arrived after a very long two days away. Those were long days away since they are days I would have liked to be at the park. On Sunday I was lectoring at St. Maria Goretti in the morning at 10:30 and then when I walked home I was drenched in sweat so I declard that day to hot. Monday's they are just tough to get to the park for me. Plus there is something that has been bothering and disturbing for a period of time now. I write a storyline. Some storylines prove extremely difficult to end on me. Most they end simply season ends person never returns the end and I understand that this is just a story. If you read the storyline this season you may know I developed a crush on a certain lifeguard. It was starting last year I knew it and then was so happy to see her again this season. I admit to the fact that on June 19, 2007 I had the best night of my life thanks to her. Many things at the park remind me of her and numerous sources have confirmed that she no longer works at Deep River Waterpark and though I tried I can not forget all the joy she brought me and I can't help I miss

I can't help that I miss her. The last day I saw her was on a Monday so it has made Monday tough as little did I know that was the last time I would probably ever see her. I know that she will not resurface in the Deep River Waterpark Storyline but if I were a dying man and I am not it would be my wish just to see her again wherever she maybe I hope that she will find happiness as she brought me much happiness in a short time. I don't know where her storyline would have gone because that Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop Tiara Tubin Toooooooooooooooosday may have been the best I could do but you never know. I would have given her the open invitation that I'd buy her dinner any time any place and there anyone can give it to her. Once I learned of this sad news I removed her as my Valentine and I started a new page vowing not to use her logo again but I couldn't do it. I liked her I still do and each night I hope and pray that one day for some reason our lives will intersect again because no person ever brough me more joy than her so at this point in time she would be my 2008 Valentine and since I like her and Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday I can put her logo up with the countdown I don't have to take it down just because she no longer works at Deep River Waterpark.

Life must go on and some people don't understand being at the waterpark during the summer is away that I relieve stress I climb stairs it takes out energy and today I was very angry when I arrived at the park many work things disturbed me greatly and one day I will probably explode but it wasn't today. I have learned to keep the anger held in but somehow it needs to be released. I did wear the trademark yellow shorts because I was happy that finally I got to Deep River Waterpark and now for the rest of the month I should be able to be there alot and that is good. The forecast did not look good though so I knew I would need to work quickly. I began the day on the dragon and rode the curved slide 4x.

Next I went over tot he storm because at the dragon a line began to form. I started with my favorites storm slide the cyclone and it was great to see Lucy. Tonight she would be a rotater so I would see her later in the evening. I got over to the abyss and Mike was soaked his shirt and shorts so I had to inquire why because in the past years it has been very strange to see any member of the water safety team actually be wet back in the day at the lazy river and storm and slides lifeguards would often be found in the water. He stated that some girls came up and would not stop splashing him. I found out these were patrons. I imagine they were probably attractive females and they probaly liked him. I got a ride in on the vortex as well. I rode the storm 5x puting the stair count to 696.

I returned to the dragon and tonight I met a lifeguard I did not know before her name was Lauren and I thought maybe I could recognize her in the future but names I am not good at. I also was met by my sister who had been sent over to tell me to come and eat. I told her that it might rain tonight so I had to finish up here and then I would be over. I have searched the records and the last time I have found that I did not climb 1,000 stairs was August 1, 2001. Next week by request we celebrate my father's birthday which is actually July 18 but he wants it on Tuesday night at Deep River Waterpark I just need to show up. I think I would be there anyway. I did get the stair count up to 978 and then I went to the abyss and Mike was still there. He indicated he was suppose to be off but his replacement never arrived and when I went down the slide I saw no replacement in sight. That is a tough spot you can't just leave the top of the slide you need your relief.

With the stair count at 1,042 I did join my family members for dinner. Tonight had both my sisters, both nephews, brother-in-law and my parents. They wanted to go quickly because it was getting very dark and they did not want to be around when the rain fell. After I eat I can't ride the rides for awhile. I therefore took a walk around the park and it got dark and then darker. I did find Dustin but he was not at his normal spot. What is with this? He is suppose to be at the same spot every Tuesday night. He just went where they told him too. They should tell him to go to the same place. I saw Alicia at the cyclone she too thought it was going to rain to cause the park to close and she did not know how long she would be at the stand and of course I am sure you might realize that on June 19, 2007 the last stand that I ever saw

was that very stand. I did make it back to deliver a tootsie pop and then I made my way to find Dustin. This was a tough walk for me but I made it and as I was talking to him the rain it began to fall and it fell hard and people they seemed to panic. This is just rain and to show how rough it was on me the last time I was at the park when it was raining you know who was under the steps of the bowl slide trying to stay dry so all memories come back of her. I decided to go on a walk and with the rain my glasses became useless so my vision was highly impaired.

I did come to the cage and Alicia told me that Emily was in the park but I could not see her. I told her to do that secret sister whistle and then Emily would appear. She did not do the secret sister whistle and I said I would walk the whole park to look for Emily and then we would meet back at this spot and if she sees Emily she was to detain her. At this time the rides had been temporarily suspended do to the inclement weather. There was some very vivid lightning tonight. I walked around the whole park and I could not find Emily. The rain had stopped so now I could see. I met back I met another lifeguard her name was Courtney and she was short I mean really short and she isn't going to get any taller apparently. Emily finally did appear and she seemed out of breath apparently she was not wearing any shoes and then rand back to get her shoes. We were able to take a walk.

Then I noticed that my bag was missing from my chair but not to far away there it was with all its contents emptied out. Everything was still there just out of the bag. I carry no money on my person when I come to the waterpark so really nothing of value as at least I was wearing my glasses. In 13 years my bag was stolen once and that was a Tubin Tuesday and I wanted to know why they needed to take my glasses and a big towel that said Mark Camarena Hub Swim Club. I thinkt he most valuable thing in this bag was Hawiaann Tropic SPF 70 sunscreen mayb 3/4 of a bottle. It was 7.86 at the Walmart. At least they left my season pass and the tootsie pops. My season pass is the only identificaton that I carry into the park. I was relieved that everything was still there and I didn't have to walk home to get my spare car key.

Many tootsie pops were delivered and the park was set to reopen. Apparently there was a delay in the storm reopening. In fact later we would find that the vortex which I had rode earlier in the day was not working. I went on my favorite ride of them all whitewater 2x before going over to the storm. The abyss was a good slide for me from Lucy to Emily and this was one of the few times this year I could then work on the landings. I love to stick the landing but it is actually hard to do. Emily says that the look on my face as I try to do this is hilarous. I have never seen it. I got one good landing in tonight but could tell I was not in practice it sure was fun though. Can you believe that Emily will be leaving the park for a whole week so she won't be at Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop Tubin Toooooooooooooosday next week but she will be back maybe not at the begining but during Mark T proudly presents Say Goodbye to July from July 21, 2007 through August 1, 2007.

The stair count went to 1,514 and after the rain there were not very many people left in the park so I thought this would be a good chance to ride the bowl slides. I got in the river and then noticed the line was not moving and then at the yellow bowl slide there was a lot of staff and a backboard so apparently there was an injury on that slide which means that is time for me to ride it as soon as the injury is cleared I like to get on the slide to prove that it is perfectly safe. I wanted the lifeguard at the bottom of the yellow bowl slide to be happier she was bringing me down. I learned her name was Abbey but I have a hard time believing that.

I did go on the yellow bowl slide and then the red and then back to yellow and could I remember this slide attendant's name well once she told me it started with a C then I knew it was Caitlin but it was dark, my vision is poor, she was not wearing those big white sunglasses, she had a hood on, her hair wasn't in a ponytail so that was pretty good for me. I rode the yellow bowl slide 2 more times and on the last time Abbey was smiling and she said she was happy and I wasn't going to leave this slide until she was happy despite the fact that I was being bit by mosquitos and these bites looked pretty bad.

The stair count was 1,810 for the day and that makes 54,746 stairs climbed this season. On my way back I showed Brian the mosquito bites they were huge. He told me the vortex was not working. That slide I do not ride that much and it would nt be considered among my favorites. I do ride it sometimes especially if I do "The Classic" I also saw Emily and Lucy who were going to do some cleaning and by this time I realized that I also had basically lost my voice for some reason. I was told that I should go to a lifeguard and ask them for some hydro cortizone and I thought that was a bit that I wasn't going to do. Lucy said she meant to stop at a drugstore and that would be fine and then Emily saw each hand and they were on my wrists looked like swollen all puffy and she told me to go to health services right now and I didn't think that seemed like a pressing injury and it would seem crazy but she walked me part of the way ther and in I went and I told the guy there and he put a vile of something green on each hand. The itching stopped and as I have watched during the night the size has decreased considerably so that was really helpful and now I am glad I went in there but I seldom appear in health services. This is 2 years in a row though

It was 8:57 p.m. and 74 degrees when I left the park. If all goes well I shall return tomorrow around 10 a.m. when it's time to play my favorite game of them all "Let's Pretend The Day Didn't End" If rain washed away your night of fun why not come on out to Deep River Waterpark tomorrow it is open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. as it is every single day. You will have a splashtastic time and I'll see you there.

Wednesday July 11, 2007

Last night I left Deep River Waterpark at 8:57 p.m. and it would be 12 hours and 8 minutes before I returned today at 10:05 a.m. The temperature was 70 degrees. On the drive in the clouds in the sky were beautiful it was like I was driving in a picture. I began the day by lamenting that the storm was not open last night when I left it was down to 2 slides and one wondered had the storm been effected by the storm. I took "The Hike" over to the bowl slides and to really set me up for my favorite game of them all "Let's Pretend The Day Didn't End" right on the yellow bowl slide where I left her last night was Caitlin. I could recognize her with the big white glasses and I am sure if you know Mark T. you know I really dislike big white sunglasses. They are among the things wrong with the world I have a whole list and on the list they are and sand and tile and those car washes that people just go in a parking lot and hook up a hose and want to get donations oh those iritate me.

After the yellow bowl slide I always like to give the red bowl slide a try and remember for two seasons the red bowl slide and I battled and it tried to spit me out backward or off the tube and many times it won and I did get my caught as you exit on a few occassions ah it was a worthy adversary but it is a shadow of its once mighty self I went down the slide and as happens much more often than not on that slide I got stuck and so I pushed myself and that got me a few inches and once again I was stuck so I pushed myself again so I could get out of the slide. I then returned to the yellow bowl slide which I rode 6 more times and then the line began to form but it was very nice to start the day right where I ended the day last night.

Remember last night I met this lifeguarda Courtney and she is so short that she could have been in that group of "Rascals" Jennifer was going to teach how to lifeguard today. I wonder if her and Chris went on that run today it seemed good weather. I'll have to check on that. Anyway I could remember Courtney's name because she is very short and that is therefor distinctive. She was at the paddles play area. She claims to be exactly 5 feet tall and that is not in heels she claims she has been that tall since the 7th grad and that she just graduated from High School in June. I think she could pass for 14. She said I could go on these slides I didn't have to have kids or be a kid. I don't think I rode these particular slides at all last year. I did ride them when the structure opened and then that season where they do this thing the park is open but not all the rides at once and there is very limited but they kept this structure open so I was on that in 2005. I did mange to get to the top of the structure where the slides are and the attendant really looked miserable he appeared to be shivering and I wish I could have red his mind. Today it was very windy so water was blowing everywhere.

If my memory served me correctly the green slide is the better slide so that is the one I went down and it was fun. I think that one guys name was Mike now all I can remember is that he should be called Team Drunk and he walked around and he said that the next time he came around that he would splash Courtney good and apparently she did not want to be splashed. She is going to be a homicide detective and I now have to watch Law and Order SVU to see if I like that and report to her that at least I can do. Could you believe she told me that I should have just told

that I had a crush on her that was not going to happen only bad things would happen to me then she will never know how I liked her so. I do know that it is impossible for me to be liked because I learned that from The Lovely Christina I would have done anything for her and then she ripped my heart out, put it in a blender, drank my blood, and then spit my own blood into my extremely beautiful hair. There are 29 reasons I am not married. The #1 main reason is I don't believe that anyone could ever possibly like me like that and the years have proven that.

I am going to call him Mike for now walked around the structure and a whistle blew and then we saw him go and he looked rather animated. He talked alot with his hands and we figured that he was throwing this group of people out of the park and then showing them where the exit was. When he came back he did not splash Courtney and he indicated that one of the people had chipped a tooth so he sent them to health services. In 13 years I have been kicked out of the park once by the securtiy the reason being I helped one of the lifeguards stack the tubes at whitewater and she was getting paid to do that so I should not be helping or bothering her. Sometime later I bought her lunch at the Olive Garden and she swore she did not ask to have me thrown out of the park. I did just go out and come back in shortly later.

I then continued on my way this "The Hike" seemed much shorter since there was something that happened on the way. The storm was still closed many people seemed to be working on it. I went to the dragon and boy was the wind a big winner today. First, the higher I got the worse the wind was so at this dragon it was really felt. Then it actually pushed the water from how it normally flows on the slide. Normally I can ride the curved slide without any issues on occassion I hit a bad seam. Today I rode the dragon curved slide 3x and each time I felt the slide like ripping up my back it was painful and quite frankly as I write this hours later I still feel the pain where it got me. Not many slides were available with the storm still closed. I therefore made one of the rare appearances at the body slides and if ever there was a day for the enclosed body slide for me this was it because that allowed me to be out of the wind.

I rode the enclosed boy slide 3x and the stair count went to 1,006. This would not be a good stair climbing day. I took my walk around the park and luckily I had my glasses so I could find Emily she was at wave pool and normally I never go even close to that although I did look at the waves from behind it and they did not appear big. Emily however is leaving on vacation so who knows when I will see her again and last night there were 3 blue tootsie pops in this bag and we know blue is for JOe Parker but she would like to try a blue if that was cool and it was and in the morning although it could have been afternoon by the time it got delivered I brought it to her. Hopefully she likes it. Her yellow sandals that are normally my giveaway even without the glasses were not nicely located for me to easily spot her. They were near the stand not on her feet nor the stand when I approached from a different direction I could see them.

Now slightly afternoon the storm had finally opened for the day and I spend a lot of time on the storm as there is shade at the top and if my dream of becoming a slide attendant ever came true that is where I would like to be. It was windy up there today and the shade did not help. Plus the water was extremely cold. I wondered if that was because it just started up now. I rode the cyclone and that was it for the storm. Mike did say that when he saw Courtney again he would make sure she got really wet. I'd like to see that. I then went to my favorite ride whitewater where the water was very nice. I rode it 2x and then I went on the enclosed body slide 2x and there were 2 people up there. Apparently the one guy it was his day off so he was following this slide attendant who did agree to make his whistle pretty I want to see that when she is done with it.

For "THE LAST RIDE" I went on my favorite of them all whitewater. The stair count went to 1,290 for the day. That wasn't the best for a day that wasn't so busy but the wind really effected me today. Now I am more than half way to my goal of 110,000 stairs this summer as I have climbed 56,036 stairs this summer only 53,964 left to go. I return on Saturday probably around 10 a.m. when the park opens but it isn't just open then it will be open Thursday and Friday and every other day this month from 10 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. so why don't you come on out and have a splashtastic time. I'll see you there.

Sunday July 15, 2007

There seems that every year there comes a stretch of time that I am not at Deep River Waterpark as much as I would like to be in the last 11 days this was only my 4th trip to Deep River Waterpark. You may have read that this season I have had a lot of trouble with the wind and yesterday it was to windy for me. Finally, I returned after 3 long days away. So far this season this is the second time that I have spent 3 days away. It was 10:01 a.m. and 72 degrees when I finally returned. Today I would start at the storm and quickly notice my favorite storm ride of them all the cyclone was closed. This left the vortex and abyss so I started at the vortex which already is not in the top tier of slides and at the top it had no water coming out so it really looked weak and today it would be a really weak ride. I then took "The HIke" over to the bowl slides.

I began today on the red bowl slide and I was very pleasantly surprised that I did not get stuck on it. On most days I start with the yellow and then go to the red and get stuck so return to yellow. Since I did not get stuck I continued on red. I really enjoyed this slide attendant she was very entertaining for me to watch. Maybe in less than a week we Mark T proudly presents from July 21, 2007-August 1, 2007 I might name her the 2007 Best 1st year Female Slide attendant but that competition is pretty rough this season. I would also have to know her name.

I rode the red bowl slide 4x in a row before switching to yellow because of the line. Today red was the bowl slide to be on as it was the better slide. I know they are the same slide but the water is different inside so the ride changes day by day. I then returned to red bowl slide 2x and on the second time over on the yellow bowl slide for the 2nd time this week someone appeared to have hit their head on the jagged rocks. On Tuesday there was sprinting and running and that person was quickly attended to. This appeared to be a young boy with perhaps his dad who tried to attend to him. The bowl slides did stop and it felt like a cartoon as time just went by and this boy kept holding his head. You could have put the clock up and then do that thing where on the screen it is like 10 mintues later and we are in the same place. The boy kept holding his head. I would have suggested an ice pack but eventually he did walk away so that was good he could walk and the rides resumed. It did create quite a big line with this delay but that is ok as long as everyone is ok.

Then you know me I like to prove all the rides are safe so I got in the line for the yellow bowl slide and down it I went without incident. I then returned to the red bowl slide and that attendant was on her way down that was disappointing some days I like to try and have the same slide attendant for as many rides as possible and today I would have chosen her. She made the morning so much fun for me and I don't even think I said more than 5 words all morning. In all I ended up on the bowl slides 9x in a row and I would have went for 10 but now the line had reached the bottom. When I started time number 9 it was 2 flights down.

I rode around the action river 2x today and then I went to the storm. The stair climbers best friend the abyss had new found popularity with the cyclone closesd so it would not be my best friend today and up the stairs I went but very slowly. Today at the storm their was only 1 lifeguard no one by the cyclone despite this many stands were unoccupied as the clock went past noon could it be the point where the exit of lifeguards has begun has the season is more than half way done? I got in line for the abyss one more time this time the line was all the way down I actually was 4 stairs up when I started. It did go rather slow in fact I think this in 12 seasons is the longest I have ever waited to ride the abyss. The line to the vortex was not only passed the stairs but past the roped area see how we miss the cyclone? The stair count very slowly went to 858 and today it would be a very difficult stair climbing day.

I went over to the dragon and the big group of people assembled at the top seemded to want to ride the steep slide so in pretty quick fashion I was able to go on the curved slide 2x making the stair count 1,046 for the day. Today was not a good stair climbing day. There will be other ones that are better. The lines got longer and people kept coming in so I was happy with this victory but know that time is starting to run out to reach the 110,000 stair goal this season. I have now climbed 57,082 stairs this season leaving 52,918 left to climb to reach that goal. I left the park at 12:48 it was 76 degrees. I will see if I can finally get to the park on Monday tomorrow afternoon but that has proven tough. I will be back for sure on Tuesday as it will be Tootsie Roll Tootise Pop Tubin Tooooooooooooooosday 6 of 10 and rember each day the park opens at 10 a.m. and is open until 6 p.m. but on Tuesday it actually remains open until 9:30 p.m. and there is no extra charge. Come after 5 p.m. and it is only 9.95. Come on out to Deep River Waterpark today before summer passes you by. I'll see you there.

Monday July 16, 2007

Finally, for the first time in July I made it to Deep River Waterpark on a Monday. I was so happy I even wore the trademark yellow shorts. Mondays have proven to be difficult to get to the park but hopefully this is the start of being able to make it the next few as the next two are in Mark T. proudly presents IMG SRC = /in2deep247/2005/goodbye.gif>from July 21, 2007-August 1, 2007. There is a game I play and I haven't lost it for years that I try to climb 1,000 stairs every day I am at the park. I often wonder how and when it will end. Could this be the day? It was overcast when I arrived at 3:57 p.m. It was 83 degrees. I have played this game many times and the textbook says in order to win in the afternoon come around 4:00 p.m. as most groups will be leaving around then. I did that. Next ride on the abyss as much as possible as this line will be the shortest it will take 16x on the abyss to win. If you run out of time the dragon usually opens up and you would need to climb it 11x to win simply go up the abyss to reduce how many times you must climb the dragon.

Today it was time to throw the textbook out as the only slide open on the storm was the abyss. This meant tubes were ample and that is where I first saw Lucy today. It also means that soon we will crown Joe Parker the best manager in the park since the maintenance manager can't get all the slides open. Sources say earlier in the day the entire storm was closed. I did not start on the storm because there always should be a back up plan. The back up plan the quickest most effective way is to do "THE SHOW" as quickly as possible. I therefore started the day at the dragon and on my walk to the dragon the whistles blew and the running began. I wonder what happened on this side of the park. The line to the dragon was longer than I would like and today the slide of choice was the curved slide. I wanted to ride that slide as well so I waited for awhile and then I waited again and another slide attendant came up. She is the one who broke her elbow whistling on the bowl slide. I learned she was a Japanese and her name was Suzie. I wanted to call her Suzy Q apparently she was not familiar with the hostess Suzy Q which according to hostesscakes.com is The oblong sandwich of either banana-flavored or devil's food cake with white crme filling was invented in 1961 and named after the daughter of Continental Bakeries Vice President Cliff Isaacson. I have not had a Suzy Q since I was a kid apparently they are still sold somewhere.

I did get up the dragon 5x and the line at the abyss did go down so over to it I went and it actually looked very sad 2 dry slides and one in the middle trying to keep the storm open. At least it made the choice easy if you are going on the storm the abyss is what you are going on. The line quickly grew so I returned to the dragon on the curved slide. I rode it 4 more times and this pushed the stair count to 910 and then I would take a risk and would this risk be the end of my 1,000 stair climb streak? The conditions were right earlier overcast but now the sun was shining brightly. Slides were broken and time it was running out. I could have take the easy victory just one more time up the dragon but no I would go to my favorite ride of them all whitewater. Whitewater only has 44 stairs though. I rode whitewater 2x at the top was Lucy who was kind enough to wait for me to push me down the second time as her relief had just arrived at the slide. She is working tomorrow night so our paths should cross at some time as by request I celebrate my father's birthday which is actually Wednesday at Deep River Waterpark tomorrow night.

The stair count went to 998 and just 2 more stairs and victory would be mine just finish it already but no to the West Side I would go as I took "The Hike" it was a long and lonley hike many people were heading for the exit but not me I was headed for the yellow bowl slides and you will never believe this for the 3rd time in the last 4 days that I have been at Deep River Waterpark the yellow bowl slide had to be stopped due to injury. Today it was a lady down below. The service today was much better than yesterday's lack of service to that young boy who was holding his head for like 10 minutes as soon as this incident happened the lady was being attended to and the bowl slides stopped. I wondered if I would ever make it to the top children in back of me got nervous as they were suppose to be on the bus at 5:30 and this line it was not moving. Eventually the red bowl slide did open and it took on the red line and the yellow line while the waiting for the yellow bowl slide to open went on.

I did end up down the red bowl slide so victory was mine with 1,072 stairs climbed but you know me I have to prove to you that every slide at Deep River Waterpark is safe although this is a bit concerning with this yellow bowl slide. I don't know exactly what happened but I always wonder why any designer would put jagged rocks at the bottom of a slide it isn't like the rocks were carved out. I suspect people hit their head on them that is just speculation and not fact. I rode the red bowl slide one more time and then I saw the yellow bowl slide was open so for "THE LAST RIDE" to show it was safe I went on the yellow bowl slide and the slide attendant oh I should learn his name as I love his voice pushed me down with something called "The Superkick" and around the yellow bowl slide I went out and oh hey remember Tuesday night it was like Deja Vu there was Abbey she needs to be more happy. She said this slide must hate her. Slides are inanimate objects that have no feelings about people one way or the other oh but how I have gone at it with that red bowl slide in the past it was a fighter but now it is has been weakened. Oh wait slides are inanimate objects. I am sure we all hope that this doesn't happen a third time to Abbey. The stair count was 1,220 make 58,302 climbed this season.

When I exited the park there was some girl waiting in the parking lot for me. I don't know if I should let people know my whereabouts if people are going to wait for me outside the park oh wait this was my sister tonight we went to this mexican restaurant in the Kmart plaza in Merrillville Indiana it was called La Carretta. It was fantastic and very reasonably priced. If you are traveling west of the waterpark and want some where to stop for dinner or lunch I highly recommend you give La Carreta a try it is past the mall and on the south side of the street. It was 5:45 p.m. and 83 degrees when I left the park. Hopefully, weather will allow my father to have his birthday wish. Even if it is not your birthday Deep River Waterpark has a gift for you tomorrow if you come at 10 a.m you can stay pass 6 until 9:30 p.m. a whole 3.5 hours extra for free or come after 5 p.m. and the price is only 9.95 to play until 9:30 p.m. 5 Tubin Tuesdays have come and only 5 remain in 2007 so don't let this one pass you by come on ut to Deep River Waterpark. I'll see you there.

Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop Tubin Tooooooooooooooooooooosday July 17, 2007

This was Tubin Tuesday number 6 so only 4 more remain in all of 2007. Tonight I arrived at the park at 4:57 p.m. it was 83 degrees. There was not a very large crowd on hand which would prove to make it a very enjoyable night. I started the day by noticing not a single slide on the storm not a one. There was a rope and some actually very nice signs indicating the attraction was closed. I started on the dragon and I went on the curved slide once and then over at the storm my favorite storm slide actually did open the cyclone and so I went over to it and at the top of the storm with a befuddled look on his face which I wish I had a camera to catch was the park maintenance manager Brian oh how he looked. I blame all the slides continously not working on him we never had this problem with Keith in fact I am tempted to put up Days I was at the park and next to that how many days all the rides were open. Maybe for Mark T. proudly presents from July 21, 2007-August 1, 2007 I will do just that. So Brian should get all these slides up and working by Saturday.

I did go on the cyclone 2x the line grew very quickly as this is a top tier slide and everyone was anxious to ride it. I then went over to my favorite ride of them all whitewater where the slide attendant Catlin indicated she was not so good because she had lost her voice. I thought perhaps this was a bit. She was wearing some nice sunglasses not those bigh white ones that I really dislike and her nails were very nicely polished each and everyone of them the fingers matched the toes so how could some one look very good and still be sick? Usually people look sick. She did not do much talking I needed an etch a sketch so I could talk to her wait I didn't lose my voice I could probably say whatever I wanted she needed the etch a sketch and she needs to take probably 2 tablespoons of honey to get her voice back maybe 3. Honey its the miracle drug. I went on whitewater 4x and the stair count very slowly went to 398.

Next I took "The Hike" and at least on the way I saw Lucy so it wasn't so sad and lonely. I saw Abbey and asked if she would be at the yellow bowl slide tonight she had hoped not. I went on the yellow bowl slide and then the red bowl slide and the stair count went to 546 and around the river I went and tomorrow is my dad's birthday and by request his party was at the park tonight so both my sisters showed up with both my nephews and my mom. My nephew Matthew T he likes to get wet and has a good cold tolerance he likes to play at the base of the action river. My other nephew Luke T is one and he might run just a little bit into very little water and then quickly runs out. He does not want to go in water. As I watched them play I saw Courtney pass by she was still short. I wonder if she is going to see that movie Hairspray opening Friday.

I like to have my glasses to see so for "The HIKE" I took Luke T with me he kept me company although I could not understand much of what he said but his little feet moved very quickly and finally we got my glasses. He did spend a little time near the wave pool I don't want to go pass the red line and we took "The Hike" back and then it was time for dinner and tonight it was dad's choice so gotta love that chicken from Popeye's and then the nephews played in the paddles play area and I tried to keep an eye on two of them. If people didn't know I was married they would think these children were mine and sometimes I just let them think that because it is easier than explaining. It was then time for cake this was a pound cake and my nephew did not believe it was a cake he thought it was bread but he liked it just the same.

The birthday party came to its conclusion and my slide riding ability was diminished so I took a walk around the park and I could not find Dustin on the west side I tried his normal stands but he was not there. I did eventually find him at the bottom of the cyclone where he was guarding the one slide that was open but just in case there was a lifeguard across from him. I wonder how this gets decided with the abyss open one lifeguard but cyclone lets have 2.I went on the cyclone twice as I considered the line manageable but then it got to long so I continued on my journey for the night.

I did see Joe Parker and Justin and think I might remember that interns name as Rich and only Joe Parker can have blue tootsie pops and if she is ever seen again Lyndsey IV but when people leave Deep River Waterpark they must die off so she will never be seen again but we did have some good times with her she was a whole lot of fun. With remincising remember she was short, beautiful, and nice. Plus she liked to work on her tan and did not like to be in the shade. Those were 2 very good years and I am sure her drawing power was tremendous just thinking of her made me happy but so sadly she will never be seen again but just imagine what could have been. She was the first to ever get her own logo on this site. Don't forget coming in 2008 hopefully it's One Man, One Park, One Million Stairs and Justin and Joe Parker are committed to being there in 2008. They can only be relied on until then. I have no idea what 2008 will be like so I don't have an estimate I would think it would be towards labor day weekend but in 2008 when I "Say Goodbye To July" I am taking a whole week of vacation so finally after years there will be a Thursday when I get to play at Deep River Waterpark.

I then took "The HIKE" and first I went on the red bowl slide and then the yellow where the slide attendant was very mean and the people in the line told me so and the guy in front of me was going to tell her how mean she was. She like to yell at people to Get Back on the first stair and then she would yell like the Soup Natzi from Seinfeld "NEXT" because you clearly can't see the slide if you are on the first stair. Maybe it would have been fine if the same rules applied all day sometimes people crowd the slides, sometimes they say stay behind the sign and this was a new one on the first step patrons did not like it. She pushed me down and then I got to experience why there were so many accidents on this slide lately I it a spot a little above where the bowl drops you and that pushed over the tube and out I came but being an experienced slide rider I knew what was going to happen so it was just like a quick dive into a pool for me. The lifeguard indicated that I was the second person in a row like this. I let her know the slide attendant was mean and we both told her and that is probably why she did this to us.

I then went back to the red slide and since the slide attendant was so mean on the yellow slide no one that had been on it before wanted to go on that so I felt sorry for her and went on it. I learned her name was Sammy and normally really she isn't mean because alledgely I follow her around a lot. I think her hair was different tonight maybe that is it. I took "The Hike" to get these bowl slide attendants some tootsie pops so happy to find someone that wanted chocolate where is the "Sensational Sasha" the chocolate are for her but this bag has like 5 chocolate in it that is to many those are difficult to unload even when I bring to work on Thursday. I easily get distracted on Tuesday nights so since the line was short I went on the cyclone the stair count went to 1,034 and the game was one and I continued back to the bowl slides.

I did see Sammy on my way. I went on the yellow bowl slide where I found Mike who apparently should not splash people in a play area that has water shooting all over the place he did give me a good push. I don't know if he has a term for that like the other slide attendant yesterday has "The Super Kick" I then found the slide attendant from the yellow bowl slide on top of paddles and I thought I really am bad at remembering names and this has got to be the worst place to deliver a tootsie pop but nevertheless I went up and I am sure the tootsie pop got wet as you really can't avoid water there not that I mind and I delivered and then went down the blue slide and my memory was correct the green one is the better of these 2 slides.

Then I seldom these days do this late in the night because I need the rest for when I play "Let's Pretend The Day Didn't End" but I would go and attempt a very special Prime Time Edition of "The Show" and up and down I would go using the curved slide each time. I did end up with Sammy again see how I follow her and she was much nicer at this slide I think she liked saying "You may gooooooooo" I saw Lucy at the bottom walking around she was "cleaning" apparently she wanted to help people get out at a decent time so instead of sitting in the breakroom as the rotater she would help out although probably no one but me would notice. I did get up and down 10x and "The Show" would be "The Last Ride" The stair count went to 2,048 placing me now over the 60,000 stair mark with 60,350 leaving a mere 49,650 left to climb this summer. When I left the park Justin was holding a ruler and since it was after 9 I could work blue Joe Parker was working blue earlier before 9 and he ended up having me work blue before nine too. I decided the best thing to do was not even ask so I went on my way and it is probably best that I did.

It was 9:12 p.m. and 76 degrees when I left the park which means that hopefully if all goes well not even 13 hours will pass before I return to Deep River Waterpark to play my favorite game of them all "Let's Pretend The Day Didn't End" but when I return down to anyone want a chocolate tootsie pop and there are a few grape and some orange since no Emily but she will return one day but those are th only flavors left. Emily will return one day but I will return tomorrow to Deep River Waterpark which will be open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. as it is each and every day and I'll see you there.

Wednesday July 18, 2007

Today was my dad's birthday for real and but the party was last night at Deep River Waterpark and last night I left the park at 9:12 p.m and this morning I returned at 9:53 a.m. which means I spent 12 hours and 41 minutes away from Deep River Waterpark before returning to play my favorite game of them all "Let's Pretend The Day Didn't End." It was 77 degrees and it was overcast. Usually when I play "Let's pretend the Day Didn't End" my chair is right where I left it at night it is a nice touch but that was not the case today. Today I had mixed emotions but I did put on the trademark yellow shorts very happy to have made it for 4 days in a row but this was day #31 that I was at the waterpark this season and in a good year I get to the waterpark 50 or so times which could mean there are just 20 or so days left for me to return where did the time go?

I began the day by taking "The HIKE" over to the bowl slides and sometimes you don't notice things until later and I notice I bet I did suffer an injury on that yellow bowl slide when I got knocked off because my right foot which is my normal landing foot had pain when I walked on it. It was rather stiff but you know me I will carry on but it did mean "The Show" would be unavailable today so that might make climbing 1,000 stairs tough. Nevertheless I went on the yellow bowl slide and then the red bowl slide and I took "The Hike" back and someone said hello so that "The Hike" was much better I always hope something happens on "The Hike" otherwise it puts me back to much into reality where I am just a sad lonely guy simply waiting to die. I saw that the only storm slide open was the cyclone so if was going to go on that better do it soon because the line would quickly build. Starting Saturday I'll let you know how many days that all the slides were open if we went for the last 4 days it would be 0.

I have seen many things at Deep River Waterpark but today I saw something I had never seen before. I have seen 2 attendants run 3 slides and I have even seen 1 attendant run all 3 slides that usually looks to be a lot of work but it has been done by some of the best. Today there were 2 slide attendants up on top of the storm for one slide now how about that for service? The cyclone is my favorite storm slide and that was the only slide open today as it was yesterday a few people commented to me that it would be really nice if all the slides were open since apparently they didn't get a discount because some of the slides were closed. There was nothing I could do about it. That reminds me of a good one yesterday when I was taking "The Hike" a patron asked me if I was from "The Slides" I let him know I did not work there. I rode the cyclone 3 times and the line grew quickly so I went to find somewhere else to play.

Here is something I seldom ever do I went to the enclosed body slide and at the top was Caitlin and it is a miracle she could talk and she still claimed that wasn't a bit last night that she went home at 7:30 and got plenty of sleep. Unfortunately, she was wearing big white sunglasses and I did not like that. Her secret word today was go but she would never say go. I got her to say it one out of the 8 times I went down her slide. Today it was just the enclosed body slide because there was no line there and really I wanted to go on whitewater but the lifeguard was wearing big white sunglasses and you know I don't like those so I had to pick my poison would it be a slide attendant with big white sunglasses or a lifeguard and I felt more comfortable with the slide attendant because if I had some accident I would just have to laugh as this person tried to save me with these big white sunglasses. This guard kept blowing her whistle to tell people to take their tubes back but several were left and since she kept blowing this whistle and looked so crazy with these big white sunglasses I told Mike she wants him to take those tubes back to the cage and can you believe how big these glasses are? White makes things look bigger. Mike indicated she was a good lifeguard but she certainly will not be the 2007 Female lifeguard of the year because I wouldn't be able to get past these glasses. Mike told me he asked her to take them off but she could not with ths sun out. She did have a nice pink bag so I have 3 bags for the best bag competion. I rode the enclosed body slide 9x in a row and then when this girl with big white sunglasses left the bottom of whitewater I went on whitewater and it was fun and that was a pretty good slide attendant at the top but this could not be "The Last Ride" because the stair count was a mere 780.

I once again took "The Hike" and it was sad and lonley and then I waited in line for the red bowl slide and on it I went and the stair count went to 854 and then I rode around the action river before taking that long lonely walk known as "The HIKE" and then I ended up at the dragon and I knew "The Show" was unavailable today but I could get to the top and at the bottom I saw Jennifer she is one of my favorite people and she hadn't seen me in forever despite the fact that I have been at the park the last 4 days in a row. Our paths apparently never crossed. These days I have to let the story line unfold has it does I actually haven't a single crush on anyone anywhere at the present time. I do miss that rush because for a little while this summer someone made me just so happy to see them. Jennifer had several drinks on a tray and since we were playing "Let's Pretend The Day Didn't End" I could give her a tootsie pop but today's choices were grape, orange or chocolate and I can't move chocolate and she chose orange. However, I went up the slide one more time and since I knew this lifeguard apparently even though I didn't realize it until she told me so her name is Lindsey and she wants to be known as Lindsey I so there she goes. I went on the steep slide the slide attendant was surprised and for Lindsey I I put in "The Full Effect" now that is a lot of fun and no damage gets done to my back. The stair game was won with 1,042 stairs climbed.

I got Jennifer a tootsie pop put on my glasses so I could see her and then Lindsey wanted to know where hers was but earlier she asked me if I was doing "The storm" I was very confused but later learned she meant "The Show" where I go up and down the dragon at least 8x in a row but normally it is 10 and I tried to remember her and once she said it was Tootsie Pop Tuesday just like that you have to be happy for the very rare Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop Tubin Tooooooooooooooosday so I taught her how to say it happniess is key. She was going to action river. Jennifer had gone to Hurricane Harbor the other day she did not like it. I have never been because I read some bad review about it so I am happy at Deep River Waterpark there was a time when Deep River Waterpark was really bad and even I had to exit and made my home at Splash Station in Joliet Illinos but we don't count those stairs in the 1 man 1 park 1 million stairs story line. That was the end of some season and the next season everything was better so I am glad I kept coming back and you should keep coming back too.

I ride the dragon a lot so I knew where Lindsey was going on the action river and we took opposite routes to get there but ended up in the same spot. There supervising was Steve and he was doing a good job. You could hear the music playing now on the west side. Jennifer made her way there like a magnet Lindsey attracted people to her. She had to rub in that I miss

and I can't help it but she said she talks to her and she will tell her I said Hi and one day she will come and visit but I know I will never see her again for as long as I shall live. I told Lindsey see what she could do to set me up with her in 5 years or so that way I could have some hope and she should be done with college. Lindsey I was also friends with Christina she was known as "I am The Cute One" and boy was she cute but she was also the person I was most afraid of no one scared me more than her. Very nice to look at though. I don't have a Lindsey I storyline but apparently she has a lot of very good looking friends.

As I thought deeper and deeper I remembered her from last year she walked around and on numerous occasions refused to dance with me and I don't even dance but something about her made me want to dance. I also think she wore big white sunglasses and I am sure I told her I did not like them because I'll tell anyone that. Also, one time she treated me in the first aid and put a band aid on me ah it is all coming back. I wonder why I seem unable to remember faces yet the rest of my memory is very good. Lindsey I did a bit about a pirate and then she used Steve as an example and it was is your parrot here or then she moved her hand to his other shoulder and was about hugging him. It was pretty bad. Later she used a pretend guy since Steve was unavailable and did a bit about a shooting star.

I made it through Lindsey I's whole rotation and I got to stand under the umbrella so I was in the shade and this would prolong my stay. She said I could walk with her on "The HIKE" it was a very nice walk this time and I went on the dragon and the top of the dragon was really a mess there is just like a mob and then someone might go but wait no there scared so the line moved slowly and then I went over to the cyclone and the line was down 2 flights of stairs but that was better than it had been most of the day so I waited as not a lot of other places for me to go This would be "The Last Ride" and the stair count went to 1,200 for the day making 61,550 for the season.

When I return on Saturday it is time for Mark T. proudly presents from July 21, 2007-August 1, 2007 and if all goes well it will feature 2 Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop Tubin Tooooooooooooooooosdays, 2 of my favorite game of them all "Let's Pretend The Day Didn't End" A very rare only the 2nd time this summer Friday appearance by your host Mark T on Friday July 27 and maybe just maybe I will be at the park 11 of the 12 days. It's better than Christmas to me and it's an event so big it extends into August. Plus were going to be having a BLAST when I name the Best Lifeguard and Slide Attendant Things? Who will be the 2007 Male Lifeguard of the year earlier I was pushing Justin but will he survive to win and do I really know the names of many male lifeguards. Then will there be controversary and will I name a lifeguard that doesn't even work at the waterpark any more as your 2007 female lifeguard of the year? Don't forget the slide attendants I actually have picked out the best first year slide attendants already in a very tough competiton but do I know there names and if I don't will I choose someone I do know. Plus the picture you'd never thought you would see from a very special "Let's Pretend The Day Didn't End you might actually get to see one of my favorite people of them all Jennifer along with not a tiara but a tootsie pop as her scepter

Plus Brian better have all those slides working every single day or the count will go on. This and a whole lot more as on Saturday it becomes time to and remember there are only 2 months all year that Deep River Waterpark is fully open every single day this is the end so make your plans to come out today the park is open from 10 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. daily and I'll see you there.
