Religion has played a role in humanity's search for truth. History
has shown a mixed montage of the fruits of Religion. This topic is
important mainly because it affects nations, politics, lives and social
as well as personal well being. In light of the WTC disaster, it is
hard to deny that religion didn't have something to do with it. This
web page tries to examine just that. Is Religion true, and what is
truth. I was raised Catholic, but was taught also from the Seventh-Day
Adventism branch of Christianity. I can say for myself when I was a
Christian I would not even dare question the Bible let alone God. The
SDAdventists helped instill the "fear of God" in me. The problem was
that the more educated I became particularly in the math and sciences
the more my beliefs came into question. One thing I came to know is one
statement.
Why? Did you know that people refuse to be Christian on ethical and
moral grounds. When someone says that they believe the Bible to be
God's inerrant word, what exactly does that mean? What are the
repurcussions of that type of logic? It seems religion is the Great
divider. To those of you who wonder where this website came from, here
is my personal response to why I left
religion.
Here is a reading list
that I compiled. Enjoy.
May you find reason.
