1. Michael Hutchence was born in Sydney, Australia on january 22nd 1960.
2. Before they were called INXS, the group were known as The Vegetables after one of their first singles called We Are The Vegetables.
3. As well as making records, Mikey has appeared in two not very good films. Dogs in Space - a rock road movie - and Frankenstein Unbound, in which he plays the poet Percy Shelley. For the Soundtrack to Dogs in Space he recorded a solo record called Rooms for the memory. (although it wasn't his first solo outing. When he was seven, he made a version of Jungle Bells for a range of Santa Claus toys!)
4. In a March 1988 Smach hits interview, Michael said Kylie Minogue had "a horrible voice." In June 1989 Kylie said that she wasn't "interested in Michael Hutchence." Two months later they were dating and went out for approximately a year and a half.
5. When he's not going out with Lylie, Michael tends to date models. He went out with a model called Michele for seven years and is now seeing Helena Christina.
6. When on tour, Michael checks into hotels using the Harley Davidson, after the motorbike. When he was going out with Kylie, they once checked into a hotel under the pseudonym of Frau and Herr Muller.
7. In September 1989 he gave up smoking "because it makes pollution." By October '90 he started again "because of boredom."
8. In his time off from INXS he formed a group called Max Q with his friend Ollie Olsen from the Aussie group No. They released two singles in Britian, neither of which made the charts.
9. He listens to a lot of classical music.
10. He's scared stiff of getting old. "I just hope that I'm not lonely, that's the thing that happens to old people, they get abandoned."
