Incidental Myth have lots of songs but gave up a lot to start again and write collectively as a four piece to create new wave songs. Then when Dave left they again scrapped their set to follow a new alternatively influenced area. Art-grunge was born. All of their songs ever written and their meanings are below: | ||||||||||||||||||
Old Skool songs (2001/02.) Silverweb: This is about a bad relationship where the girl owns you, the web being a metaphor for her grasp on you. Cherub: This is about letting go of a partner you love very much. Falling Away: About time and how it slips away. Palette in Dreams: This is about the colours in dreams and how they affect the atmosphere and mood of the dream/ your life. Mellow Song: About trying to appreciate things and realising how lucky we are. Enemy Storyteller: This is about a friend who tells lies and puts his friends in danger with them. Adrenaline Rush: Simply about how a small thing like getting your ear pierced gives you a huge Adrenaline Rush. Perfect Daze: How ignorance can often be bliss, going through life oblivious to harsh realities. De-rosing: This is about how a partner leads you on, making you have false hopes. New Wave (2002/03.) Click on the title for links to lyrics Instrumental Riff: This is about how the seasons and weather effects your mood, to such an extent that it effects your total way of thinking then eventually your actions. Blue Eclipse: This is about when you think about something so much your mind shuts down and you can't concentrate on anything. Premonition: This is for the youth of today. It tells that you should live for the moment but always think about your future and the reprocusions your actions might have. Spear Trance: This explains that sweatshop labour is an important issue today and should be addressed. The lyrics tell about the awful conditions the workers are in and how people are wrong to exploit that. Storm City (Rainbow Gaze): As a round up to all the songs so far, it tells of how you should never disgard the truth or look the other way however bad the world might be. Have fun but don't forget the realisation of what can be seen. The Monoforce of the Stars: If one person puts their mind to it, they can achieve anything. Thats the basic framework of the lyrics, inspired by friend of the band/ anti-capitalist Luke Cooper who does lots for his beliefs. The song is about how one person can fight the system and can be as strong as an army if the cause is close to their heart and they push themselves to the max everyday of their lives. Girl Rouge: This is about a girl who treats you badly but you keep going back to her. The rouge (red) is a sign of danger, that the girl is bad news and not right for you. In the end you realise it though and plan to break free of her chains. Xoa: This less than 2 minutes outburst of insane noise only has 2 lines of lyrics but they are about explaining an insane/crazy state of mind. Its described growing like a virus then explodes into the fast riff to represent the madness of the mind condition. |

Current songs (2003-present.) Click on the title for links to lyrics. My Abstract. This is about how people should understand others views against war and that there is a lot of suffering as a result of war. People should learnt to open their eyes and see what they normally would'nt comprehend. Dream Mask. This is about how you know you are thinking irrationally and want someone else to do your thinking for you. You are in a reflective mood concentrating on how to get your life back on track after bad decisions you have made in a dream-like zombie state of mind. Message in a Ghost. This is about when your mind wont let you get to where you want to be at, in a deep thinking state for example. A mental block sort of thing. Rainbow Gaze. This new wave instrumental was too good to drop from the set and sounded even tighter as a 3-piece song. The chords reflect conflicting emotion to link with themes of our more recent songs. Staria. The only lyrics this song has are "The sunshine" and "Fade away." This along with the forcefull molodic riff cuts right through you to represent the simplicity of the ficcle human and their emotions. One day you can be up and happy then the next you can be so angry at the world you want to take away your happiness. This song shows a possible balance between the two. Sky Cry. Sad one this, it's about when your feelings are messed with and how you react to it. Hopefully a lot of people can relate to this, being hurt can mess you up but music can be a great release for anger or depression. |
