I recieved this game as a gift from a friend and that was pretty cool, I didn't waste any money on it. After playing the game, I found out one main thing, 4X4 EVO is really boring. The graphics are pretty good except for a few minor issues and the control doesn't seem to bad either. However, the gameplay is bad, when you are doing a race you have to go through the little gates. This annoyed me, the game says that it is 4X4, like off road, but you have to go through these gates and stay on the path. The controls weren't too bad except for turning, you sometimes need an act of congress to get your vehichle to turn without crashing 50 feet from where you wanted to turn. The game also has some other flaws, like being able to drive underwater and a good rate of speed. This makes no sense, and it is sometimes hard to get out of the river. The one nice feature the game has is the ability to go back to the starting line with the press of a button, but this game makes it nessicary, instead of just having it as a nice add on. While graphics, sound, and most of the controls are good, the fun factor is zilch and once you beat it, if you don't fall asleep in the process, you will never want to do it again, making the Replay Value at 0. Despite the games good points, it will probably get you to ask the question, "I wonder if there are any baywatch reruns on."

While 4X4 Evo does almost everything right, some people will find it completely lacking in depth. I guess Evan and I were two of these people. The graphics were pretty...man, the environments were nice and big too. The sounds were almost perfect except for the music...the gameplay just sucks. I couldn't find myself getting into the game at all. I had more fun driving underwater in one of the game's many flaws. The game is just too boring, too quick. The controls were fine. Very responsive. But why did this game make me feel all drained after I played it? If the developers were trying to come up with a cure for insomnia, then they've succeeded by all means. But in terms of a game, this is just lousy.
