D-76 Developer Formula

Start with water @ 125------------------------------------------750.0ml
Elon---------------------------------------------------------------- 2.0 gr.
Sodium Sulfite----------------------------------------------------100.0 gr.
Hydroquinone-------------------------------------------------------5.0 gr.
Borax---------------------------------------------------------------2.0 gr.
Cold water to make--------------------------------------------------1.0 LITER

Dissolve all chemicals in the order given. Make sure each ingredient is mixed thoroughly before adding the next.

You can substitute Kodak balanced Alkali (Sodium metaborate) for the Borax to increase the pH and thus prolong the life of the developer. If you do substitute Sodium Metaborate be sure to decrease the development time by 15% to compensate for the more active developer that the higher pH produces
