WHAT IS FAITH?

What is religious Faith? Religion would have to admit that it has no rational basis, in other words no basis at all. "Faith" is merely someone’s assertion that something is true without any evidence to support it.

I believe that religious faith is a cop out. It is a sign of a person’s intelligence gone into bankruptcy. When faith comes in, your brain goes out. If the only way people can accept assertion (insistence upon a right) is by faith, then they are agreeing that it can’t stand on it’s own merits. Can religious faith move mountains? No, I don’t believe it can. But religious faith is very capable of driving people to dangerous levels of thinking. Just look at world events at this present time since Sept 11^th 2001. In these emotional levels religious faith seems to be a type of mental illness. It leads people to believe in something so strongly that in extreme cases they are prepared to kill and to die for a religious faith without the need to even justify their faith..

It is the naïve, the gullible, the innocent, and the historical ignorant who believe this nonsense called religion.

There was a time in the past when one of these religious faith movements called Christianity tried to rule the world, it was known as the "period of the dark ages." Today the Church is trying to gloss over the images of its past history so that it can have another attempt at dominating and ruling the world, through the world council of Churches.

If you cannot detect something with the five senses that you were born with then it doesn’t exist.
